Only keep what is yours and return the extra back to the exchange when they eventually get back to full operation mode. That is the honest and right thing to do.Trust me,you will feel better about it when you do so,be the "white hat" trader here.

Re: STOs are really the future of ICOs?
by

The actual scam may well be that they are claiming to be STOs when indeed they have not obtained such licence to conduct an STO. It is easily to forge some document as licence and many persons may not be diligent to spot the fraud and as such as deceived into buying into an ICO masquerading as STOs.There are a lot of scam protections in an STO but they are by no means 100 %

We all know that everything can be faked here, and we have seen some STO scamming and being dishonest to investors and bounty take hunters to take a look at Desigo and there is report that the popular Boltoncoin is a scam so don't give your 100% trust to STO type of coins yet.
The desigo fiasco was an really scammy and it pissed a lot of us .They claimed they were restricted by laws not to release tokens to those who promoted their project and yet never paid the equivalent in fiats. We just need to be care with the claims every project make.STOs or ICOs

Even in a bear market,a few ICOs thrived because of the team behind them.If the team are very influential, they will be able to garner support for their project. Many project fail because there are less funds in the system to accomodate all and of course, many are poor projects

Hodling has not being the best strategy in a bear marjet since prices continually plunge. So it is more of a risk management decision rather than an emotional one to sell off when the market is in turmoil

Re: Which coins to invest in for a beginner
by

I suggest investing in proven coins that are traded on many platforms
Those essentially are the top rated coins on coin market cap. A newconer can hardly go wrong with those.I still jave some worthless coins I bought when i just entered the space and they have been delisted from the only exchange they were listed on.

If you are just starting your journey into cryptocurrencies,it may nake more senae to stick  with bitcoins or with any of the very top coins by market capitalization. This will a fairly stable portofolio while you spend time to study smaller coins with great potential for growth.Trust me,there are great coins as well as shitty coins out there.

Re: the future real money

As every aspect of life, especially goods and services are becoming digitized and have their values exchanged on virtual platforms, it's only natural that payment methods will also follow the trend.

all possibilities can happen without anyone knowing for sure but replacing the real currency function I think it's something very difficult maybe a changeable function
For obvious reasons, goverments will not want to give away their powers to create money and those control use.It will make governance near obsolete if they really lose the power of control.Plus the fact that most politicians are sponsored by companies whose interest maybe ne sidelined by the progress of cryptos .it is both an economic and political issue, not just texhnological

The powers that ve will not allow for a fully decentralized money systems that will ultimately make central banks obsolete.the best we can hope for is a future where cryptocurrencies are allowed to operate freely alongside the traditional fiats. Not necessarily replacing it.

Re: Sending altcoin without fee?
by
GymClassHeroes
on 02/03/2019, 22:16:05 UTC
I think that this is basically impossible, since this cost for sending is the payment of the miners. In this situation, we can only talk about the coins that give a lot of gas for the purchase of their coins, such as NEO.

Rightly so,miners need some incentives to add such transactions to their blocks during mining.Services or exchanges that offer such services for free often do so as an incentive for user's patronage.basically bearing the cost on their behalf

Some wallet services do provide the transfer of tokens at zero fees to other addresses within same wallet type.Even some exchanges does that (e.g coinex send bitcoin cash at zero fee).I have had promos on sending tokens through email and phone number.I will be weary of those especially large sum is involved.I experimented the text message option and the result was loss of my coins

It is not FUD as it does not have a dorect bearing on thw market. Most person still do not understand how cryptos work, hence the kind of response you will get from them.It is also worth noting that China is  a place where cryptos are banned, that can create a psychological impact on how people view bitcoin.

Re: Buy on ICO or buy after being exchanged?

Initial coin offerings are the equivalent of startups in the businness world and as such can be subject to a range of risks. For cryptos, the potential rewards can also be astronomical. It is not unusual to see 10x ,20x or more ROI especially in a bull market. As a rule,do not invest more than you can afford to lose and spread your risks.

Re: Is USDT Tether safe?
by

on 01/03/2019, 21:11:22 UTC
There is always the fear that tether ould just be printing money without actually backing it up with cash in the bank. They howeber did publish a report in the past showing evidence of cash in the bank but no audit report to date. In an unregulated market, that may suffice for small holder but not major institutions.I personally do not hold too much assets in tether.

Re: What is your general view on ICO's projects this year?
by
GymClassHeroes
on 01/03/2019, 12:54:28 UTC
ICOs are fast becoming an inefficient way to raise capita for crypto-project due to its being continuously bused by scammers or poor cryptos projects.the tide is unlikely to change in the ner future unless there is a strong bull market this year,as that will result in a lot of dumb money in the system and people will care less about the quality of projects.

I dont think people will FOMO much this time considering the fact that the market has been subject to manipulation in almost every spike. Maybe when bitcoin crosses 5k, that is when we will see FOMO, for now, only the risk takers maybe be lucky enough to get some tokens at very good price.

Re: STO's are not cryptocurrency's
by

on 27/02/2019, 22:35:10 UTC
STOs will be a great addition to the crypto ecosystems when eventually there are better framework for the implementation. They will offer a huge doorway for companies to tokenize their assets and make it much more accessible to the general public, that will improve the image of cryptos (as well as market capitalization)in general. Some platforms like Tezos hold a lot of promise in this regard. The down side may be that there may be too much legislations regarding STOs.

Re: why many ico launch with ETH ?
by
GymClassHeroes
on 26/01/2019, 23:20:47 UTC
Many ICO launch payment gateway choice ETH. any other crypto coins why not use in ico payment gateway.
Ethereum is used as a means of payment for ICOs principally because it was designed to handle smart contracts and it has the first movers advantage as the crypto next to btc. That may change in the near future as other platforms are gaining momentum,e.g eos

Looking back now,i will place my mo ey with EOS especially in the present stance that successful upgrades on the eth network is a bit more challenging to achieve.I am not sayin eth is bad or something, just that eos is looking prettier now
