Will the latest version work with the latest Windows 10  builds?

Been a while since I have mined but figured I might as well heat my house with my miners this winter.

I remember trying to turn of windows updates and it was impossible, would wake up to tragedy... I wonder if windows ever addressed that?

Thanks everyone, mine on!  Someday our ships will come in.  Smiley

Re: Antminer S9 - Dead controller?

Hello,

New to antminer, less than a week old. When updating to new pool suddenly the miner has stopped mining.

Status page show zero fan speed.

Tried the "factory reset" method but miner settings stay the same and do not revert.

Does this mean I have a dead controller? No green or red light lit on front panel, however 3 green lights on controller board.

Any help greatly appreciated.

OK, what a newbie I am!

Just mined overnight for account "antminer"

Whoever owns that account got lucky I guess. lol

That's what I get for being in a hurry.

New user, please help with setup.

Antminer s9, 13T

My antminer shows I am connected, but the mining dashboard shows ZERO hashrate.

What difficulty should I use?
Why is my miner hashing but NOT showing up in dashboard? : )

My current settings:

s1.theblocksfactory.com:9001
DigiSan.miner_diff16384
x

Is there a tutorial somewhere on how to properly set up asic miners?

Does it take a while to show in the stats maybe?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you

Best regards.

Thanks Claymore!

It seems 3GB cards won't be able to mine ETH/ETC in Windows10 soon because this OS reserves about 20% of GPU memory size and there is no way to fix it (at least easily).
In next update I will set zero devfee for these cards (same as I did for 2GB) so you can mine ETH forks.
If you still want to mine ETH/ETC on 3GB cards you should use Windows7 or Linux.

Is it over for 3GB cards on ether?

Getting CUDA error 11 - cannot write buffer for DAG.

Tried the -eres 0 and -lidag 0

Was mining fine for months until today.

Thanks!

AMD undervolting questions...
by
HELIUM_COIN

Hello, thank you so much for all your hard work on this project!

I have a question about under-volting dropouts:

Let's say claymore starts and with undervoltage settings from overdriventool GPU only voltage is 80watts.  All is well for a few minutes, then suddenly, the voltage spikes to roof @ 112watts.

What is the best way to avoid this issue? I assume the card wants more voltage when this happens, but it happens even if much higher voltage is given.

Does wattman hold unvervolting better?

I assume the claymore power + - commands would simply throttle the hashrate as well? Which is not really useful... or is anyone using them with success with AMD cards? (voltage at wall proof?)

On certain cards, undervolting can be annoying and problematic to say the least.

I believe proper straps have been used in bios mods.

Thanks for any tips or advice, been trying every trick I can to save power and sustain maximized hashrate!

Cheers to the fellow miners! : )

Yep. Claymore supports 10 GPUs max. Try running claymore for the 470s and ewbf (equihash) for the 1050s - you'll make more that way anyhow Smiley

Thanks ozoner.  Thankfully was able to figure it out via a youtube video.  It's the -di switch that allows choice of cards per miner. So I split between two instances.

Had some port issues after that but now working.  Will have to check out zcash soon, ethereum is cranking right now though, I guess all the coins are! Hard to find to time to pioneer new coin right now but definitely going to give it a shot when I can.

Hello,

Trying to set up multi gpu system.

8 NVIDIA 1050's and 5 AMD RX470's on Asrock H110.

Was working well with 8+1 but after adding the last 4 the miner now hangs on startup.
Tried versions 9.7 thru 10.2, no luck.

Is there a claymore GPU limitation I am missing?  All cards are installed properly in windows and patched blockchain drivers for the AMD.

The nvidia are a bit older drivers but seem to have the best luck with them for many months.(newer ones were not stable).

I tried the -gser settings but just delayed the hang.

Claymore loads the AMD cards, and them pauses, then eventually locks the entire computer.

Any ideas?

Thanks so much!  Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

uhm I am as clueless as you guys but just wanted you to know that a step-up transformer is going to use more electric and add to your bill.  From what I can see you should be able to get 1200W at the wall which is enough to power the antminers?   I saw someone on youtube say his D3 was only using 1000 watts...  But of course please do your own research and let us all know what you figure out. Thanks!
