My python 2.7 was installed to my C drive while the script you wrote
is in my F drive.
What would the code look like then?
is there any chance you can give me the precise code on here and from the screen

Ok this is interesting, there is a new error being generated by multibit 5.12 when i tried reopening my wallet file on there.
first it was the null error and now its a serialisation error.
screen shot is as below, this is not the null error anymore but something different.
I hope this doesnt mean my wallet is corrupted...

Ok ive gone to the github and downloaded the files and created its own directory for it.
I got a syntax error being generated: from attempting to recover the wallets.

this is what I've changed it to.
ran the below commands in the python command line.
python decrypt_multibit_classic_walletkeys.py multibit.wallet <--- your instructions
python decrypt_multibit_classic_walletkeys.py new beginning.wallet <----what I've done.

all though the only thing i changed was copying 1 file into the python directory.
which was the wallet file I'm trying to recover and then the wallet file with the random numbers as in the above
screen shot.

I remember the password i placed on the wallet.
strangly enough i downloaded hex editor and went through to find the private keys but had no success.
good chance because it was created with 5.18 multibit classic.
the encoding is different.
im also unable to find the hex value with the screen shot provided.

Hi All
Im having this same problem and trying to download other versions of multibit and the same error is being returned.
i reverted back to all versions below 5.18 with zero success.
ive made backup of my wallet already as well just incase.
is there anything else i can try doing?

are crucial months.... cause apparently this is meant to be where all the large ASIC companies are getting there units shipped out.
myself on a personal level believe that KNC miner are credible to this.
bfl is definetly there with there product line only thing is that since they get bombarded with the question of ETA for delivery they
just end up not giving a shit about it.
and also the amount of numerous scam sites that arised as well claiming to have working ASICs.
well reputation is everything to a company....it takes a lifetime to build it and only a second to destroy it.
Ive got my bet on KNC miner that they will deliver to the btc community first.
Its just the faith that needs to keep you going but no doubt faith is about believing without seeing.

ive personally got x3 7970 and they are hashing at over 600mh each .
wether you can invest in an asic that provides more returns on the $$$ and obviouisly less electricity cost.
why dont you try checking out btcguild they are selling block eruptor blades right now for US residence only.
and i believe soon they taking it international.
again i stress this is based on supply and demand.
the more people that want to mine will have the chance to get a stronger network.
and on the investment of purchasing an asic. consider if you have enough money to purchase one.

I mean if your budget is 500$ then stick to 500$ then after this investment youll have an idea of what your return will be.

I reckon to play it properly the word hasnt reached that many people yet regarding bitcoins.
surely the price fluctuating will be due to more people recieving there ASICs and selling there btc off...
people need to understand that just like money it increases and decreases depending on demand for it.
If more business started selling products and limiting that specific product to bitcoin then surely we will see something in the future of this project.

Thats ugly...for people to steal. but since the world we live in is full of crime and frauds they consider themself feeding there own stomachs because of it.
