Hiring out my USB erupters, 3 of them for $15 for a week (168 hours). Payment through PayPal, I've been scammed on PP before so someone needs to tell me how to avoid that otherwise I will have a 3 day waiting period from purchase to the start of mining. I've checked and it's almost always at least 1.1GH/s, we will have regular contact through Skpye if you wish.

This is the hardest I have laughed all week.
You aren't going to receive donations. If you want some money, learn some skills and sell them for BTC. Also, don't buy a graphics card for mining, don't even start. You aren't going to profit at all, not with a graphics card or with an ASIC. I hate to be harsh, but mining isn't worth the trouble. Especially if you can't even afford a card.
Actually, I take it back, in my last transaction, I didn't pay a fee which I saw that as weird.
Maybe they do pay the fee for their customers.
I think of Coinbase as one of the more secure online wallets for btc.
Blockchain.info is the most secure, since the Blockchain.info doesn't hold your private keys. Well either way, it's best not to use a online wallet when you are handling large amounts of Bitcoins since it's not worth the risk.Maybe they do pay the fee for their customers.

I guess I'd pretty much ruled out mining bitcoin/litecoin because of the difficulty / the small amount I would expect to mine with my setup.
I was more thinking about mining a couple of "new" / more unknown alt coins, and take a gamble on that they in the future may be worth something on an exchange.
I'm not sure if it's the best strategy from a profit perspective though
In terms of "worthwhile", I was thinking about coins where you still have a possibility to solo/pool mine a reasonable share (even if the coins are worth next to nothing) withouth investing in ASICs.
I've been looking at the charts over at http://coinchoose.com/, but I struggle to see how I can calculate when I can expect to find a block solo mining by combining the difficulty/network hashrate / my hashrate. Anyone know how to do this ?
The problem with the other altcoins is they aren't very popular or never will be, which means you'll be stuck with useless coins. Use multiple exchanges, you might want to do a bit of research on the exchanges since some of them wont allow your to withdraw USD easily. Requiring you to submit documents and wait days, even weeks at times. Having thousands stuck in an exchange for even a few days would suck.

There are tons of ways to get bitcoins, an easy way is for example is buying things like Amazon gift cards. Or steam games, and selling them here at a slight markup, repeat.

I don't mean to offend, but your pricing doesn't make such sense. Buying 1000 viewers is the cheapest option. I thought it's supposed to get cheaper as you buy more?

Thank you for pointing that out. I kind of forgot about this thread as it wasn't getting any replies. I wonder if it would be easier to just sell all the glasses in a bulk,lol
Try complaining on their Facebook page. From what I can see is that their support is trash. Also, it seems like a lot of people are having problems. Good luck, hopefully your issue is resolved soon.

I bought an Amazon $25 gift card on bitmit, I had no other way to buy it(no card and can't use PayPal). There aren't many BTC exclusive items if you are looking for answers about the purchase of such things.

This will be a huge hit in the future(now) and just only become a standard in the the tech and growing world.
I see a world where bitcoins will become one of the main forms of making payments, intertwined with cash and credit. It is a alternative that everyone will want to have because of its accessibility, reliability and instantaneous transaction. As we grow in a world of being online via facebook, instagram and twitter it is safe to make a conclusion that this is the way of the new 21st century.
Remember in the early/mid 90s where experts would say that no one would make transactions online to make purchases like books? Look at us now. Remember when no one believed credit cards would make a huge in society because "there is no value"? Look at how much society is in debt because of credit cards.
This is the future and and truly feel miserable for missing the boat in the beginning.
