It's a merge mined coin, which means it is mined alongside other coins at no cost to you.  There are no exchanges for it therefore you receive no profit for it, but it didn't cost you any extra work.  You can safely ignore any that show auxPOW.

this ninja is show 0 mbtc that mean no income?

I am seeing this as well.

I guess I will stop mining lyra2v2 for now, as I don't want my rigs doing work for no reason.

Ah, good to know.  Thanks for the explanation!

Re: Is MinerGate a good mining software as well as a legitmate cloud mine?

Tried:

Kryptex: https://www.kryptex.org/en/

Minergate: https://minergate.com/

Winminer: https://www.winminer.com/

Awesome Miner: http://www.awesomeminer.com/

Computta: https://computta.com/?ref=Xxxxxx

Kryptex, Minergate and Awesome Miner generates VERY low profit for me, Winminer is just a little short of Nicehash, and Computta is being tested now, but until now it seems to be a keeper (for me anyway)

Nice referral link.

Hello all BitMinter miners!

Check out review of your mining pool on BitcoinSites.Org!

It still says 1.5% fee near the top. The fee is 1%, donations are whatever you choose depending on which perks you want.

I don't understand the parts about Bitminter only being for beginners, or that the support isn't good. We have some miners who have been here since the summer of 2011 when Bitminter opened, and I spend a lot of time helping users whether they are old or new. We also have users helping other users in the chat and in this forum. Oh well.. everyone is entitled to their opinion.

Yes, it is pretty impressive that we now have 430+Th worth of beginners, huh Doc?  Wink

I definitely don't agree with the review either, but like you said, everyone is entitled to their opinion (even if it is wrong...  lol).

Re: Mac wallet for Peercoin?
by

First off, I am not one of the Peercoin devs, but I am a big fan of the coin and the dev team. I saw a post recently about adding a Mac client but I do not think this has occurred yet (I too do most of my recreational computing on a Mac). Maxpower is the handle of a community member here who has created many Mac clients where necessary - if you want a more immediate solution, send him a PM and I am sure he would be happy to assist (just throw him some coin as a donation for his effort). Regarding the checkpoint warning, this will show until the whole block chain downloads. Just make sure you have the most recent version and if the block chain downloading seems to get stuck, close the client and then reopen it - this helped me when my download seemed to slow or get stuck. Hope this helps.
Thanks for the advices!
I don't have much in any cryptocoins at the moment, so it would not feel right to ask him for help and not donate Sad
I reopened the client multiple times after like 30 minutes sessions where it didn't download, so probably it's something in the code that wine can't understand.
I guess I have to wait for the official client then Sad
Thanks anyway! Smiley

@blacksails PPcoin-Qt is available for Mac, and I am currently running it on OS X 10.9 with no issues.

You can get it here:  https://github.com/ppcoin/ppcoin/wiki/Installation

In general, these type of things either work or they don't.  A quick 10 - 15 minute test would be more than sufficient.  Testing for a longer period (say multiple hours) really won't give any better idea of the long term reliability, so I'm all for a quick test of some subset of the batch and then ship them all out.

Waiting two days for testing doesn't make much sense, as that impacts everyone, whereas if I did receive a bad one, then only I would be not hashing for the time it takes for me alone to get a replacement, rather than no one being able to hash while all of them are being tested.

Edit: With difficulty oing up and people in BitMinter with 200+ GHs, I'm not even sure if this pool will be a good fit for me with pay being based on participation and I'm t best doing 6.5Ghs

You're going to find that pay is based on participation everywhere, pool or solo, although there are different schemes and formulas.  And it's the same difficulty everywhere.

What you won't find in any other pool is the Bitminter personality.  It is definitely a different place, a different flavor.  And soon you and I will just be mining for fun, anyway. Smiley

Yep, BitMinter is my favorite pool by far.  I bounced around quite a bit when the DDOS was affecting us, but I'm back to stay (unless something happens).  So, my whopping ~13Gh is back.  lol

i check everything
i put off the cube but still nothing

Is the fan working at all?  Definitely shouldn't be any higher than ~50° or so.  You will want to change out the craptastic stock fan with a better one (and point it in the proper direction) anyway.

I definitely didn't think that I'd be getting this thing this late.  If the eBay market was still good I'd sell it.  As it stands, I'm just going to run it for the hell of it.

So, to anyone who has gotten theirs recently and is actually going to just run it for the hell of it, definitely change out the fan.

I replaced what has to be the worst quality fan I have ever seen today with the Noctua NF-A9x14 and not only is it MUCH quieter (I can barely hear it now - it is really quiet), but it is running 10º C cooler, and I am now getting indicated average speeds of a little over 8Gh, doing nothing more than the fan change.  Previously I was getting max speeds of about 7.4Gh.

I didn't get a mug either.  Which is a bit of a disappointment since the mug would have infinitely more utility than the Jalapeno at this point.

Surprised there hasn't been any updates on the progress of getting the initial thumb or board hashing.  Issues?
