I don't think that whitelisting should be removed.
The whitelisting must be removed.

but why?
^^ what he said ^^.. but why??
So that the network can properly scale.

And to be decentralized

OK

I see the logic with the scaling issue, if pool ops were unrestricted in setting up XDAG pools, we would perhaps see more people mining. However the decentralisation isn't relative to the number of pools... anyone can still mine and collect XDAG... I don't see the whitelisting as centralisation of the coin, more of a bringing-together of the community. We all discuss things here and on the chat channels, and everyone knows where to go to find info, without the whitelisting, is it still possible to insist that a pool donates to the community fund?

You are thinking in a logic of current state: node and pool is the same. If i'm not mistaken, the plan is to create two different daemons, the nodes should always be free to set up for anyone.
The pools can work differently, or not. In my opinion, pools donations to the community should not be mandatory, but the official channels should only  support and promote the ones that contribute to the community fund and white-list them as trusted.

edit for disclaimer: I'm a pool co-owner and I don't like the fact people come to me asking for help to get whitelisted. That process is centralized and it should't be.

Watching this one, steam like platform with referral system crafted for gamers is a very good ideia.
Unfornunnatley there's no working demo/prototype.
Destiny games https://www.ddestiny.ru/ has very active development.
Why did you not lauch a demo/alpha version of the platform to gain investors trust?

52mil XDAG are already in circulation and this number is increasing by more than 1.3mil per day. With such high rate of inflation i’m surprised people are buying at $0.05 per Xdag.

Are there any plans to change this model?

Why? This has a huge potencial and most miners I know are hodling.
There are people who want to buy more than 100k and not that many people can (or want to) supply that quantity.
I'm mining since day #2, and in the last days the difficulty went up very fast, so, not really sure if the price will go down.
In fact, the price dropped due to FUD when dev was insulted in this forum, if that did not happen probabbly the price would still be around $0.1 USD per coin.

It also pisses me off reading some comments people write about dev.

I don't know him but I already know that he is skilled and favors tech over hype. Most people only care about price.

The space need more people like this, please come back, I was learning alot watching this project grow from the beginning, please don't kill it.

The percentages on the pool list are not real.
It's easy to change pool parameters and the list does not update for itself.
also some pay to the fund and it's not stated anywhere, this should be promoted.

Love the waterpaper! Smiley

I like you Smiley

Thank you so much for your work!

One more thing to ask, can you please explain the differences between:

who found the block vs  who contribute directly to the found block

Any change for a miner to be connected with small hashrate that will not contribute?

I still do not understand why the total of fee+reward+direct(+fund) is not equal to 100%

Hello, can someone explain this? I already tried to get some info on the discord, but it seems no one knows for sure:

According to docs, pools have these parameters: miners, fee:reward:direct:maxip:fund

So, it's six parameters.

Why are pools listed like: x%, x%, x%? Those are three parameters.

Can the dev fill in the blanks/make corrections?

Miners: maximum conections the pool can handle (Huh)
Fee: self explanatory, payment for the pool
reward: payment for connected miners?Huh
direct: payment for who found the block?Huh
maxip: maximum connections from same ip (Huh)
fund: payment for treasury fund (who manages the fund??)
