Could just be a mistake with setup on a real miner.... Either way if this happens to anyone it should just be deleted and the user asked to apply for a new miner ident.

Re: What about the idea of a bitcoin shop in big cities?
by
HadiHussain
on 02/03/2017, 12:57:53 UTC
It would have been good to find shops accepting bitcoins, definitely I would just forget about carrying a fiat, but there is long way to go, we are just now seeing many online sites accepting bitcoins, so I think next will be shops and ATM's everywhere..

or im just dreaming Tongue

Re: DECENTRALIZED crypto currency (including Bitcoin) is a delusion (any solutions?)

Another way to think about why PoS isn't as secure as PoW in general:

PoS does not reinforce historical consensus. Every subsequent block in a PoW chain makes the history below it more secure because the cost of reversing it is superlinear in the number of blocks built on top. In PoS, this is not the case, the cost of producing a block is a constant, therefore the cost of reversing history is a constant.

Re: Do you think "iamnotback" really has the" Bitcoin killer"?
by

I didn't take the time to read all 16 pages, but regarding the financial elite turning off financial transfers in a doomsday scenario, thus forcing miners to turn off their machines, why wouldn't the electric provider accept Bitcoin or litecoin as payment for their service?

Re: actual number of people using Bitcoin?
by
HadiHussain
on 01/03/2017, 11:34:21 UTC
I don't think you can really measure the number of people using bitcoin accurately at any time because bitcoin is free to sign up and doesn't need any ID, and is mostly anonymous. You can measure the number of used addresses, but a person or organization can have multiple addresses.

no i do not think so that anyone is controlling bitcoin, i think there is no doubt about this that most of the users of bitcoin are from china and even most of he miners are also from china but it does not mean that China is controlling Bitcoins.

Re: Why some people prefer Bitcoin over fiat ?
by
HadiHussain
on 01/03/2017, 09:50:51 UTC
Some people prefer bitcoin because of it's anonymity. They prefer not to be known who they are or what their details are. Some ask for it because of their own protection also but making it anonymous, makes it more dangerous. Better yet, ask for an escrow for transactions. Bad people prefer it because they can buy illegally and possibly get away with it, that's only my opinion.

Re: Has the high fees problem changed your behaviour when spending bitcoins?
by
HadiHussain
on 28/02/2017, 07:13:33 UTC
Not really. Unless you always receive micro payments or payments from faucets, the fees is still fairly low as compared to the alternatives. As long as you don't accumulate too many small inputs, there should be no reason as to you paying a huge fee for a single payment.

If you worry about it not confirming, just use dynamic fee or similar.

Re: Can Bitcoin be used by ordinary citizens?
by
HadiHussain
on 28/02/2017, 05:55:49 UTC
Every citizen can use bitcoin without any limitations in respect to the government. Few governments have officially banned bitcoin usage. Even in those countries people use bitcoin. The internet along with interest to use an advancement is a must to be a part of bitcoin. Also if you fix yourself as a person who move with rules and regulatory framework then its not for you. Because it has both harm as well a big advantageous part.

No such thing as free lunch and no such thing as free bitcoin. No one will give you anything for free and if you want to get some bitcoins you have to invest your time and money, no matter if you are participating in signature campaign, if you gamble, trade or something else. Even faucets are not for free.
