Re: Temporarily stop crypto trading?
by
Hanebel
on 09/06/2019, 06:07:56 UTC
I suffered losses in recent days, and I decided to stop trading for a while. While looking for capital to return to the market. Shut up to strategize and take compensation for recent losses. Have you ever lost continuously and lost enthusiasm? Thank U.
I didn't stop trading, I only stopped visiting this site for a while. But looking at the market, why would you stop trading now that everything seems fine? The price rises and drops alternately which is a good profit points.

Re: Know when to stop a HODL/HOLD
by
Hanebel
on 09/06/2019, 06:02:27 UTC
Not all projects are suitable HODL.
I am agreed on this part that holding for all projects is not suitable, many a project can turn into scam and also many project might be delisted and for the delisting the price of the coin can be down and even the price of the coin can be 0.
Few have a better chance, while most will surely turned into a dead project, dev will enjoy with amounts that they already collected and re create another
using different teams and offer another sort of ideas, always best to make a good research about projects to support and hold for longer terms.
But in case you are in the middle of holding and you just realize that your money is just getting smaller and smaller each day, and when it's almost equal to nothing, will you still sell it (knowing that you're only gonna get a little but sure amount) or continue holding in return to the chance of getting good amounts when it miraculously pumps?

I have heard this news several months ago, is this still an active airdrop? Some people are afraid of giving their identities in return of 25$, but isn't the website a reputable site?

Re: Project Initiators and Team need KYC more than Investors
by
Hanebel
on 11/03/2019, 14:11:09 UTC
The decentralized nature of cryptocurrency seems not be effective when it comes to investing in cryptocurrency, seeing that investors in most cases are asked to do KYC, bounty hunters inclusive.

I do not think investors should be compelled or made to do KYC by submitting their personal data and documents, because project initiators do not stand any risk of losing their money. Rather project initiators or developers should be made to do KYC, in order to gain the trust of investors, who want to invest in their projects.

This is necessary because we have seen cases of scam ICOs, which have made investors to lose trust in a lot of them. So to gain the trust back, we would need to know whom we are giving our money to as investors.

I can't agree more. KYC for bounty hunters is a must to prevent multiple accounts and KYC for the team offering the ICO is also to be considered to be sure that they are real people with real names and real credentials. I also don't like investors being asked for KYC considering they are those who can make the project happen and giving this kind of hassle is somehow shameful.

Re: What if 5 head of the big country are Cryptocurrency supporters?

USA, Japan, and China are big countries which can be so influential if they publicly expose their will to support and adopt cryptocurrency for their respective countries. So, I am saying, they have the power to influence but it is still the usefulness of the coin that will make it last.

Re: Passive income from cryptocurrencies in 2019

Masternodes are the best method of earning passive income from cryptocurrency in 2019. Running masternode do not require any advance or high computing power to own a masternode. With masternodes, you earn crypto coin daily which can be easily traded for Bitcoin or Ethereum.
But only few people can enjoy it because it requires minimum numbers of units which varies depending on the coin. The minimum numbers required is not really that low, most of the time it would cost thousands of dollars.

You should also consider day trading because as the current situation keeps repeating, there is often a correction even on just a small pumps. So, if you buy alts now, you can have some amount of it for day trade and only some for holding.

Re: Mistake you should avoid when holding your Altcoins
by
Hanebel
on 22/01/2019, 14:20:30 UTC
Early 2018 I had different altcoins via bounties, airdrops and small investment in ICOs. But the major mistake I made was waiting for bull run to come so I could sell and make large profit. But atlast the bull run never came. So I had to keep hodling till I got stocked in the Bear market.

I think you all should learn from my mistakes and never wait for bull run because nobody knows when the bull is coming because of the volatility of the market. Sell when you have decent profit and not waiting till you have a large profit. Thanks

Waiting for a bull run is not necessarily a mistake. The mistake was too much greed. When the bull run is already there but we still not consider it as the "bull run" we've been waiting instead, we wait for more price rise, then that's greed. Everyone from 2017 to 2018 has learned on this experience.

i think waiting for the bull run is indeed a mistake, because when there is a growth in price and it does not reach your profit margin, it is still a loss.
There is nothing like stop gap profit in crypto currency.

it is all about buying and selling, and mostly about buying low and selling high.
all for profits.(first)
It would only be considered a loss when you sell it lower than your buying price. In the case of your example, it is just a paper loss or an imaginary loss, nothing real.

Re: Lightning network capacity of Litecoin up by 116%

Lol who said the Lightning network is dead. The lightning network is up by 116% on Litecoin!! It's expanding faster than BTC

Source: https://blockmanity.com/news/litecoins-ltc-lightning-network-capacity-up-by-116-in-the-last-30-days/
You're quoting your own blog? I don't know the credibility of this post since the owner of the site being linked here is somehow the owner of the username blockmanity. I read some posts about litecoin before about this lightning thing and at that time, LTC was at its peak. Let's see how will this news affect the price.

Re: Milk, eggs, bread and bitcoins?

I think bitcoin is more reasonable to be used when you are transacting with larger amount of money to save in transaction fees. If we use it to buy everyday essentials with the current transaction fees, the fees would become a significant additional to our expenses which should not be existing at the first place when we use fiat.

Re: What do you think about the future of cryptocurrencies....

I always believe in the saying "history repeats itself". 2013 is also a bad year for cryptocurrencies and after years, it recovered. Now we are again at the bad period but we can't be always like this.

I hope you had made some profits before ETH dropped to around 120$ this week. And I feel it will rise up again as the last week of February approaches. I just don't get why a reschedule is necessary, I think I miss something.

But I see it as "after a pump, there's a dump". Well it isn't that important anyway as long as the long term trend is going up. Today's prices are better than as the year 2018 ended, so we should still be thankful.

There is a rumour about hard  fork of ETH and the volume in the trading of ETH is aggressively growing .Prices are showing strength .Is it an  opportunity to buy on rumour and sell on the news to book profit.

I also watch how Ethereum quickly grew from the price of 90 dollars. It seems to me that its growth will continue as soon as the events voiced by you occur. Let's wait and follow the events.
But I'm a bit doubtful about the growth's consistency especially after the forthcoming event. There should be another good news in order not to let ETH's price dump.

Re: What's the trends of altcoins in 2019?
by

on 09/01/2019, 08:11:37 UTC
I think the current market trend is still bearish. but the market has shown oversold. and I'm sure in a few months there will be a change in the trend that will occur. all of the middle of this year we can see a bull run
And what could make everyone hype in the middle of the year? As I can see in the forum, people are talking only bakkt and forks and they are expecting it to happen on the first quarter of the year.

Re: a factor that will make bitcoin recover
by
Hanebel
on 09/01/2019, 08:06:55 UTC
the first bitcoin can have a high price because the market demand for bitcoin is very high one reason is because bitcoin is becoming popular and is starting to be accepted by the global market, the growth of crypto activists is very high even bitcoin is becoming a new trend among global society and hence crypto value is soaring but now bitcoin has begun to lose its appeal especially there are many coin competitors that will distract investors from bitcoin not to mention because the spread of bitcoin is increasing along with the increasing number of bitcoin inventories generated from the blockchain system and of course it will greatly affect prices because bitcoin loses value he added rather than other coins, namely "scarcity of supply"
then the question is what will make bitcoin recover and can have high prices again?

To increase the price of bitcoin, it is enough to bring order to the crypto market and eliminate the situation when major players buy bitcoins on the over-the-counter market and sell them on the exchanges in order to dump prices.
Excuse me but, what is the over-the-counter market? Do you mean a peer-to-peer buying and selling of coins? Why would someone sell their tokens cheaper in an over-the-counter market when we have available exchanges?

ICO Market 2018 vs 2017 : Trends, Capitalization, Localization, Industries, Success Rate
In 2018, 2,284 initial coin offering (ICOs) reached their conclusion and investors could choose, on average, among 482 token sales opening every day of the year. During 2017, the corresponding values were just 966 and 91 ICOs respectively.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/ico-market-2018-vs-2017-trends-capitalization-localization-industries-success-rate

then, what will happend with ICO market in 2019, give me your toughts ?
regards
As what I've understand because of the success in 2017's ICOs, there were several more openings happened in 2018. And now that 2018 was not-so-good year for ICO, maybe it will reflect to this year ICO performance. So I am expecting lesser, yet more productive/useful ICOs this year.

Most of the time, trends are being noticed/observed at the middle of a certain period or later. now we can't say yet what will be the trend for 2019 but for the past year 2018, we have all the data and we can still use it for this year for reference.

Re: Trading is the key to increase your portfolio in the Bear Market

This thread actually has the basics of trading, well thanks for the information but what do you think will be the best platform to do some trading? Binance? bitfinex? bittrex? May you recommend some?
You have named good exchanges. But if to pick one, I would choose binance because it's so user-friendly aside from having big volumes and lesser shitcoins listed.
