SEC Shocker: Binance Lawsuit Dropped, Crypto World Reacts Fast

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has officially dropped its lawsuit against Binance and its founder, Changpeng Zhao. This unexpected move comes nearly two years after the SEC first accused the exchange of violating securities laws.
In June 2023, the agency asserted that Binance was responsible for artificial volume boosts, careless handling of client assets, and deceiving investors about its main practices. As the lawsuit has been dismissed with prejudice, no future claims may be made on the same ground.
The company saw the announcement as a major success that benefited Binance and also the entire blockchain industry. Binance believes that this action will increase trust among digital currency users across countries such as the U.S., Europe, and elsewhere...

Yes, I recently read ETH using POS might be an issue which delays or even destroys the chance of ETF approval. We might have to hang on and wait for clear answers.
Not sure why everyone is asking OP to close this topic when clearly there is no needs for it. This a speculation board and OP is speculating whether ETF will get approved or not and what will happen to Ethereum price if approval is done.
I doubt that the ETF will get approved so easily. Bitcoin ETF approval took a lot of time and I feel Ethereum's ETF will go through the same phase. Yes, the price will go up in similar fashion like Bitcoin but it won't happen this year.

Yes, but we are talking about something which is almost impossible in today's world. A few rare private schools might be eager to do it, especially if they were founded by wealthy crypto winners. Telegram University!

I agree they are doing a big business this year, and do not see the issue as a real threat to BTC.
"If this doesn't wake you up and make you do the RIGHT thing..." I have the habit of making good choices and this didn't "wake me up" any more than I already am, thanks for trying.

On second thought: $100,000 USD will be too easy, with that much momentum why not $357,034.63?

Re: [2020-01-16] Chainalysis traced $2.8 billion crime bitcoin sent to Binance Huobi
I thought that this might be good job on investigative journalism and a confirmation of the theory that exchanges are part of a global money laundering ring. However, again, when I read where this report was based from, the skeptical me thought that this was only another paid for advertisment from the corrupt world of bitcoin news media as usual.
Blockchain analytics firm Chainalysis said Wednesday that it traced $2.8 billion in Bitcoin being sent by criminals to crypto exchanges in 2019, with the bulk of those transactions going to Binance and Huobi.
"While exchanges have always been a popular off-ramp for illicit cryptocurrency,...
... "Overall, just over 300,000 individual accounts at Binance and Huobi received Bitcoin from criminal sources in 2019," Chainalysis noted.
