Re: Are altcoins better than bicoins right now?
by

With the price of bitcoin continuously going down, do you think that altcoins could be better right now than bitcoins? I trust that bitcoin prices will still rise perhaps next year, but with the price still going down, maybe altcoins have a better chance. What do you guys think?
Altcoins are in a way better than bitcoins in terms of variety in projects. Tron, Stellar, Paragon are few examples of such altcoins that will yield more than btc in future.

Re: When do you know its time to sell your altcoins?
by
HaroldConway

Just wondering if ya'll have a typical formula you go by or a certain X percentage profit or loss.

I've been playing around with coins for just under a month now. $23750 total investment and currently up just under 10k in profit. One of the coins (IOTA) has gone up about 288%.  Obviously it would suck if it crashed but it would equally suck to sell if it continues to grow.

Just wondering what a lot of you folks do. I'm considering investing another 25 or 50k into coins. Ideally I'd like to net 15k a month off them but I know that may not be realistic on a monthly basis.
Buy low, sell high. Follow this not just in crypto trading but in stock trading as well. Buy at $1 sell at $10000 for example. I have PRG on my portfolio and it's higher than what i bought it at, i know i'm going in the right direction.

Re: how to choose a new coin
by
HaroldConway
on 21/11/2018, 16:02:40 UTC
as we know that there are too many coins in circulation.
What do you think of choosing a good coin to be used as an investment?
To choose a good coin, analyse the coin's performance based on its value, volume, ranking and whitepaper. XRP and PRG are great examples. Have a look at their record and how widely acceptable they are, it shows their value in between other hundreds of coins.

Re: Hold or Trade?
by

on 20/11/2018, 18:20:59 UTC
Hey guys, what do you prefer, hold till the end or trading? I know that people who are holding are actually saving crypto from total fall. But is it profitable to hold?
Holding till the end or trading definitely depends on the tokens you possess. It's better to trade btc right now but may be beneficial to hold other tokens that may have promising long term projects. So it may vary from situation to situation.

Yes patience is the key but not just patience hard work, consistency and focus is what one needs to get through this also one has to be well informed that keeps you equipped thanks
Patience is definitely the key. Buy low, sell high. Once you've bought, hodl and watch the game. Then sell when you're about to be a billionaire.

I want to know how you relate the risks to profits?
What is the determining factor for you to sell or buy coins?
How many of you are trading short-term?
Well it is not very difficult to manage risks as it is a good possibility that coins like Paragon, Stellar and Cardano can go very high. I believe they have the potential to go very high.

Hey guys. Today I want to discuss the theme related to work. Do you have a full time job and crypto is just an additional way to earn money? Or you are working with crypto everyday and It takes all your time. If so how much do you earn per month? Interesting to learn more about crypto investors.
Crypto is really great medium to store coins and use your earnings profitably. If you go for coins like Paragon, Cardano and Stellar you will see what a good coin is and how its projects are.

Scams everywhere now. Greedy ICOS that for some reason need 20 million dollars for a small project, Ridiculous.  Greed everywhere, thousands of coins that serve no purpose.  This is so far removed from satoshi's vision.  Premine bullshit  scams like onion.  Projects that have no reason to be on a fucking blockchain except to cash in money on the hype.  We need another fucking crash to clear out these shitcoins and scams, and you greedy mfer ICO devs are the cause of this bullshit.
Crypto has certainly not gone to shit. There are coins like PRG, ADA and NEO and they shall go very high in some time. These coins have an excellent performance and will go very high. It is assured.

Re: Which cryptocurrency wallet is the best?
by
HaroldConway
on 10/10/2018, 16:14:01 UTC
There is no single best option available for everyone. One size doesn’t fit all and when it comes to cryptocurrency wallet, it’s important to consider the following variables:

· Which cryptocurrencies do you trade? Bitcoin or altcoins? How diversified is your portfolio?

· Are you a short-term or a long-term trader?

· How secure are your trading tools and devices and what is the security record of your considered wallet?

· What are the wallets associated costs?

· Is the wallet UI intuitive and user-friendly?

· How mobile and accessible is your wallet? Is it difficult to keep and easy to lose?

· Does it allow you to make quick purchases or sell-offs whenever needed? What is its latency?

Here are some popular wallets that are considered to be safe and reliable in different situations.

Single currency wallets. As a rule of thumb, going for an official currency’s wallet is always a good option. Here are the official wallets of major cryptocurrencies:

Bitcoin: Bitcoin Core Wallet, Mycelium or Electrum.

Ethereum: Ethereum Wallet or MyEtherWallet (Paper Wallet).

Litecoin: Litecoin-QT.

Dash: Dash Core.

NEO: Neon Wallet, NEO-CLI, NEO-GUI.

Most of the time, official wallets are easy to find on the company’s website.

Multicurrency wallets (software). Here are some of the popular multicurrency online purses.

Jaxx Wallet. An optimal crypto wallet software that offers both mobile and desktop applications. Use it to store your Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash Ethereum, Ethereum Classic, Litecoin, Dash, Zcash and dozens of other cryptocurrencies.

Coinomi. Coinomi supports 64 cryptocurrencies and is one of the best mobile wallets on the market. The only downside is that at the moment it currently works with Android only.

Exodus. Exodus is a solid desktop wallet which lets you store Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Ethereum Classic, Litecoin, OmiseGo, Qtum, Dash, Bat, Aragorn and many other coins.

Fast Invest Wallet. Fast Invest is a quickly-growing European P2P loan operator established in 2012. Currently, the company is moving into P2P crypto loans and crypto trading markets and will launch a solid multicurrency crypto wallet for Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple and Fast Invest token (FIT) holdings. The wallet is set to start on December 4th together with Fast Invest ICO.

Hardware wallets. Although more expensive, hardware wallets are considered to be one of the safest options for crypto investors.

KeepKey. Supports Bitcoin, Ehtereum and majority of other altcoins.

Ledger Blue. Supports Bitcoin, Ethereum and majority of other altcoins.

Trezor. Supports Bitcoin, Litecoin, DASH, Zcash, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Ethereum Classic and other ERC-20 Tokens.

Digital Bitbox. Supports Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ethereum Classic and other ERC-20 tokens.

Cloud wallets. Although we stressed that online wallets can be dangerous, storing your coins on Coinbase and GDAX are safer than others. Coins in these exchanges are insured, thus providing a guarantee that you will be compensated even if the company is hacked.

A digital wallet may be the most important investment decision. Therefore, it’s worth to invest time and effort into choosing the right one. Although hardware wallets may seem expensive at first, at the moment, they offer the most complete cryptocurrency storage option, combining both safety and functionality. Nevertheless, there are some decent hot wallets as well. The final decision is always yours and you should stick with the wallet which lets you get a sweet good night’s sleep.
I used the MEW wallet. It is easy to use. It is a very strong security and the platform. I think this wallet is best suitable to for the long term

Re: New to Crypto, Any Advice?
by
HaroldConway
on 10/10/2018, 15:51:49 UTC
Hello, Im new to the Crypto world and wanted to hear some advice from the pro's on where to start. i havnt purchased any coins yet, but i have been using coinpot and various faucets. I was wondering if i should keep going with this or is it a waste of my time. Also they say theres no fee for converting coins, but i dont get the same conversion rate as i do on the coinmarketcap calculator. Basically id like to hear from the professionals maybe a strategy for really small trades, or that this is a waste of time and buy some coins with my hard earned money and go from there lol. and if thats the case, where to go. im in Canada by the way, if that helps.

Thanks for any help you can offer me. I hope to get more active in the forums and meet great/smart people along the way Smiley

                                                                                                                            Matt
Just make sure that you have chosen the best coins. The coins like Paragon, Cardano and Ripple are good for you to invest in so keep up with it.
