Once again, and in less than 2 week the bitcoin price has achieved a new  high price and break  $7,500 range  on November 5 first time all-time, with out  add positive positive effect of new fork .

Demand In Japan and South Korea (the popularity of offline exchanges of Bithumb and Coinone ) exponential increase  .

So Why is the Market So Optimistic?

There will be a hard fork. People think they can get two coins if they buy now. Similar things happened before Bitcoin Cash fork.

The team is solid and community nice. However it's not very well known and the media focus is on BTC/ETH these days. I see ZEC being sold around 350-400 USD by the end of the year. That's my perspective anyways. I wish there were more places that would support z-addresses. I also hope there will be more places where I can spent the coin directly, otherwise this will be just investing thing, which I'm not that interested in. Some life to the coin would be nice.

I think ZEC is the top 10 mineable coin. There are very good miner support of the coin.

maybe zcash will remove from poloniex ? who now ?
From where did you get this "information"?
i ask only ? why in poloniex a long time the ZEC wallet is in in maintenance ?
Don't know, but I guess if they would want to delist it, they would write that, as they did several times before with other currencies.

It is activated now. However, there is some missing coins there so I have contact them again.

What will happen, when the altcoin season is over?
I have seen many coins that are up in price x20 x50 x100
Like pivx, decred, stratis and many more. Will they dump again?

And when will this altseason take end?

I am pretty sure there will indeed be a dump. Maybe leading alts like ETH, Dash or Monero won't be hit hard. But all the penny cryptos which have zoomed up in value, are going to crash to the bottom.
if being played by the big whales for sure those project will turned into pump and dump movement, that's really a problem from those alt project
they are just relying with community support and if being played by whales expect that the value will dumped down so hard.

I think the whale has more power than the community.

Well the recovery was fast, although the supposed cause isn't exactly resolved yet, so we might still see a few sudden drops here and there.

Why the fast rising? Is that because the BU is getting momentum and the battle will be short?

And day after day price of Zcash fall down. It's very bad that in zcash market there isn't short position.  Sad
I have one advice for holders who mining and holding: sell this coin, or you will regret for your choice when Zcash will fall to 15 dollars.
It will get another negative trend soon. the miner still dumps the coin and I think it will equal with xmr. Or it will be useless coin in the future and Komodo is much better than ZEC. based on his development results.

Why are you looking at it on a per coin basis, instead of market cap? ZCash is valued at way below XMR on a marketcap basis. So saying it will become in line with XMR after a dump is meaningless.
I just try to speculate if the supply of zcash already reached over 10 million coins. Or it will worth below the monero price.

The supply of ZCash is just 746,394 ZEC

Who made any profit mining this coin?
So much hype about 1ZEC=1 BTC.

Yea people can forgot about that because of development tax ^^.
When developer will be "hacked" ZEC will meet disaster.
Coin for me have high inflation and was OVERhyped to moon.

If you hold for the long term, the inflation will reduce, like the bitcoin.

There was hype about Zcash for sure. But it has been beaten down badly and now it is getting stabilized. I think this is the time to start mining it and if you are looking to buy into it, then I suggest you to wait till January as by then you should be able to get it for much better rates. By then, the slow start period would have ended and supply will be more.

The market capitalization of Zcash seems to be on an upward trend, although the price seems to be slowly declining. I doubt if buying it as an investment is prudent, given that not enough cash seems to be coming into the system to maintain Zcash's price. Miners seem to be selling coins at a lower and lower price.

It is better to wait for a few more months.

Re: [2016-10-18] Just How Significant is Chinese Miners’ Control on Bitcoin?
by

"Mining Becomes Specialized
When bitcoin began, miners were the “fanatics” who had fallen in love with bitcoin, noted Popper. But over time, mining has become a specialized profession available to those who have the ability to set up mining centers.

“That’s become something of a problem because the design of the bitcoin software gives decision-making power to the miners,” he said. “These miners around the world have a sort of voting power over the bitcoin software and what bitcoin itself looks like.”

Bobby Lee, CEO of BTCC, a Shanghai bitcoin exchange and mining company, explained that bitcoin’s founder, the eponymous Satoshi Nakamoto, saw mining as a way to award new bitcoins in a fair manner. “The only fair way he came up with was to give it for free to whoever wants it,” Lee said.

Gavin Andresen, chief scientist at the Bitcoin Foundation, explained how miners form bitcoin blocks and race to provide the canonical record of bitcoin transactions in exchange for being rewarded newly-mined bitcoins.

Price Rises As Less Is Mined
As the bitcoin price rises, it incentivizes a miner to activate their mining equipment, said Dave Carlson, founder of Megabigpower Bitcoin and Ether Mining Company, which is in the United States. Miners produce less bitcoin over time, he said, but the value of each bitcoin rises.

Popper said the industry has reached a point where the determining factors in who can profitably mine bitcoin is access to cheap computer hardware, and access to cheap electricity. “Right now, the place where those two things are easiest to find are China,” he said, noting that two thirds to three quarters of all bitcoins mined come from mining installations around China.

Scenes From Inside A Mine
The video then shows the inside of a Chinese mine, with employees being fed their daily meals and enjoying recreational games.

Zhu Rei, CEO of an unidentified Chinese mine “somewhere in Szechuan Province,” noted there are 15 workers who live and work at her mining facility. Their main job is to look after the hardware. The video shows shelves filled with mining computers that the workers maintain.

The geographical areas with the low electricity rates are in rural areas, Rei noted. She added that the number of people working in these mines is increasing rapidly.

A ‘Worst Case’ Scenario
Carlson raised the possibility that someone could decide that bitcoin mined in the U.S. should not be accepted into any of the bitcoin blocks in China.

“That’s a very scary, scary concept. It should be extremely scary to the people who have invested in the businesses that are built on the bitcoin blockchain.”

Charley Cooper, managing director of the R3 Bitcoin Consortium, said there should be some concern about China’s growing power over bitcoin mining. “What do you do in a situation where one particular entity or group of entities acting collectively gain enough power in an open system that they can begin dictating the governance of that open system?” Cooper asked.

Centralized Power For Bitcoin?
Popper said the issue is a test of the philosophy behind bitcoin. One of the main ideas was that people working together could create a better system than any one startup or entrepreneur could.

“This was the idea of communal wisdom,” Popper said. “It’s not at all clear that that software being developed by volunteers all around the world is going to be able to adapt quickly enough to keep up with the existing power and all the resources that they have to put into this experiment.”"
