Yes hope big whales comes into this ICO and make investment, any how we still happy because the minimum cap has achieved so the investor and the bounty participant don't worry about the next development.
"Big whales" have potentially been tipped off by insiders that this coin is run by KNOWN SCAMMERS. Not sure if the BFL guys are actually behind SkinCoin, but based on the active promotion of phishing sites and it being in the gambling space generally, it seems like a pretty good bet at this point.

WOW! Inform the masses as to who the nefarious actors are behind this venture and the Investards are jacking off all over themselves wanting to get as many of the tokens as possible. Fuckin amazing!
Disgusting, ain't it? How many are outright paid shills, I wonder? Many seem either illiterate/English as a Second Language, so paying Eastern Europeans to promote it on boards like this doesn't seem too outlandish.

Not only is this shaping up to be another con by the same 'ol hucksters, but the "Skin/eSports Gambling" ICO market is getting insanely overcrowded - new competitors by the day, some of which have far more reputable names and/or actual software to show off ahead of time.

Here's yet another: https://neverdie.com/

Thanks for the warnings. While it seems no one will heed them during the funding stage, your posts will undoubtedly be chronicled in the aftermath.

You got to be fuckin kiddin' me! Surely, NeverDie isn't that new venture that Marshall Long is behind.
Marshall Long of Cryptsy infamy?!? Surely you jest! Cheesy

eSports ICOs seem to be the haven of scammers galore.

Another ICO that's competing directly with SkinCoin: https://unikoingold.com/

And this one has some pretty big names behind it. The E-Sports betting sector is prime for crypto disruption, but things are definitely getting crowded.

I just heard from a reliable source that Sonny Vleisides and Jeff Ownby of BLF fame are the true people behind Skincoin. I only wish I would've gotten to this thread quicker.

Read this if you're not up to speed: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=274997.0
If true, this is the Kiss of Death for this project.

How are those two not in jail already, anyways?

Looks like the counter has been disabled on the homepage...

Does the SKIN team not want to display how far they are from their goal? As much promise as this ICO has, most successful ones are sold out on the first day.

It may be just something technically. I don't think that founders of this project have something crutual in their minds. Too much people are interested in success of this project, and founders and supporters as well. I am sure everything will be o'k.  Wink
Look at the page source, the HTML for the progress bar is clearly commented out.

I know there is another project named" Firstblood", which as far as I know, is another project that focus on the e-game industry. The e-games are very popular during the young children, and I think both of them will be success.
Yes, there's Firstblood, which has no ICO yet: https://firstblood.io/

...and there's also Gilgam, another attempt at the same thing with an ICO active at the same time as SkinCoin: https://ico.gilgam.es/

While the concept behind all of these e-sports betting tokens is quite promising, I've yet to see a SkinCoin developer (or a developer of any of these coins) explain what makes their project different from the others. SkinCoin has a clear mission with the skin betting/trading, but others already have whitepapers for robust betting platforms which seems to be just in concept phase with SkinCoin

It'd be nice if someone from SkinCoin could explain what makes their token unique when pitted against these other two (and GameCredits, for that matter).

This platform looks incredibly robust and the eSports industry is rife with opportunity. A betting coin/app for gamers could be a big hit. However, this is hardly the only ICO in this space and it's definitely less publicized than the competition.

So what does Gilgam offer over something like SkinCoin, doing the exact same thing, ICOing at the exact same time, and has raised far more money?

This ICO is in an interesting space and looks to be a good idea. However, it's not the only eSports ICO going on right now with a near-identical business model. What differentiates SkinCoin from something like Gilgam.es?

Someone knows or has idea / predicted on what value can popolous starts in the exchangers? Thanks!

Most likely the presale price since there was no ICO.

I'm going to call BS.
Since when does a token offer an ICO and sell all coins to the Chinese during a pre-sale?

Like really? I can understand selling 20% in pre-sale and the rest in the ICO...
What was the whole purpose of announcing a  July ico?

Honestly, that's some screwy crap. I can only imagine how screwy they will be with the project.
Good luck with your pokens...
Have yet to find an ICO that didn't include a fair amount of tomf***ery. Status, Populous, TenX... the list goes on.

Like I said..Tenx is not fair play company for me because they are giving you misleading tutorials how to contribute, but in reality you cant invest.

^---exactly this

telling us all to use myetherwallet for fair play. well, we all got FCKED.
apparently we were told to use it so we couldn't use more than 60 gwei and their homies could just bypass all of us. thanks a lot for wasting our time and SCREWING us over.
Certainly feels that way. I was going to use BTC originally but thought, "Bitcoin is so slow, might as well use MEW to make sure I get in."

But now it looks like everyone who did use BTC (with unconfirmed freakin' transactions no less) is in but those who followed the directions got short-tokened. How is this even possible?

My timestamp is also changed like I sent 30 min ago. Altough I sent in first seconds of ICO. Any comments?
This question deserves to be addressed.

Also sent within first seconds - my timestamp changed twice! Then the transaction disappeared entirely with a new one taking its place. Very frustrating.

THE SALE IS OVER - IF YOU HAVE PENDING TRANSACTIONS, THEY WILL BE CANCELED AND RETURNED! THANK YOU ALL!

What About BTC Transaction inside Correct Time Range?

No Blocks were mined from Ico Start to Ico End.
That TX will be payed?

Thanks
If this is the case it's a total horse heap.

I specifically converted BTC to ETH ahead of time because I knew BTC's block time is notoriously slow. If ETH transactions that were sent well within the time limit get deleted but completely unconfirmed BTC transactions are accepted, there's some serious shenanigans afoot.

Oh, and my TX timestamp was also changed from seconds after open to 15 minutes after, how is this possible?

There is still 29% of tokens available.Julian should give them to us, who did everything according to his tutorials.
If not, Tenx is not fair play company for me.
Amen

Not holding my breath lol. I suppose this beats establishing a "pre-ICO sale" last minute with high buy-ins.

Even though we had to wait in CIVIC everybody got his tokens Smiley
Pretty bad ICO, oh well, what do they care - they got their money.
Of course, CIVIC was the only ICO I was interested in that I didn't try to buy into! >__< Glad to know at least one company knows how to run a token sale professionally.

Well, actually if you check the addresses that were accepted, some of them use 60 GWEI and not 50 as stipulated by TenX.
I send my ETH using MEW too, I did it like 3 secs after the beginning of the ICO and yet my timestamp is: 1:12:47
I guess the website was too overload and I'm too far away from the servers -_- !
Same scenario, mate! Pushed the TX right at open, but was timestamped much later. Still pending, assuming I didn't get in. Real disappointed.

That f***ing bullshit  Angry Angry Angry Angry

+1

3rd ICO I try to participate in and they ALL end up in this bullshit... I'm gutted! Angry

You and me both, man. FUN, Status, Populous, and now TenX. Transaction pending despite getting in right at open.

Either MEW is routinely fucking up or ICOs simply aren't available to the "little guy" on any pragmatic level whatsoever.

Oh, well. Hopefully I get my funds back in a timely manner. Wish TenX the best, I've heard from people already using their service that it works swimmingly. Rare these days that an ICO has an actual product/service before launch.

by

on 29/05/2017, 22:13:49 UTC
For the ZEC mining, you do not need the special bios for 7970. There is very little difference.
Not massive differences no, but some. There's a whole thread dedicated to ZEC BIOSes for Tahiti cards with modified memory straps which give better speeds: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1676474.0

Unless there's a way to hit ~290 H/s without a BIOS mod? 290-310 looks to be about the max for the 7970/280x cards.

claynore the v12.5 has some issues with auto fans speed on MSI AB 4.3 with Sapphire R9 290 TriFan,using win8.1 64bit Catalyst16.8.2, the fan speed goes from 70% to 40% while mining, so I wonder if you could do anything for this?
Are the fan issues present in v12.4? Don't think 12.5 gave any noticeable increase in speed so if it fixes the fan issue I'd use it instead. Moreover, I've always heard that Catalyst 15.12 is best for the R9 series when mining ZEC, have you tried using them instead?
