If bitcoin would sky rocket there would be much more investors and companies accepting bitcoins, even large companies like ebay.. So yes  Bigger prices would  effect ALOT bitcoin adoption.

I completely disagree we are too late.Golden time was about 4 years ago from now to invest into bitcoin basically.Nowadays investing is expensive as well as a risky game to enter onto

Re: Forum Hosting
by

hey

i would like to upload a site with a html start page and a classic, likely phpbb, forum

can you recommend a place to host this for a reasonable price in bitcoin without third party or provider ads that lets me have a custom domain (preferably .at)

i can create the start page and customize the forum style myself and would like to keep control over that

thank you for your time
You could just use any simple free webhosting program which are far better than any cheap paid hostings. If you are willing to host such a small website use hostinger.co.uk or haphost.com (Even provides Vps for free)

Re: Bitcoin is a inherent Ponzi Scheme, please correct me if I'm wrong
by

After figuring out how the mining works, that it becomes increasingly more difficult obtain, wouldn't that just cause the price to keep on increasing, like it will never stabilize and outside of the speculative fluctuations, the price will always continue to rise and the guys who set it up and invested early sit on an asset that will continually appreciate in value. The distribution won't ever be even and prices will never stabilize for it to be an viable currency for trade. So the guys who created bitcoin really made a Ponzi scheme for themselves as the price is always set to rise due to the increasing mining difficulty
It is now, give me a standing proof that it is and I would handover all my bitcoin to you.Bitcoin is a change, bitcoin is a new game we must trust

Re: Warning : Scam website
by
Hasher99
on 01/09/2014, 18:11:28 UTC
Guys, please BE AWARE OF the following scam website:
bitx10.com

I do not know if someone actually posted such a link here, but if someone was advertising it should be banned ASAP. I am working for a hosting company and just received an abuse report regarding this website :

Message: Fraudulent Site being hosted: bitx10.com Please note that the owner of the above mentioned site runs a fraudulent scheme and have thus far funneled thousands of dollars through the website. He offers people ten times their money back within a day. If one however go into detail and analyse the deposits received against the payments being made its very clear that no money is ever returned to any investor. All this information is readily available on the Bitcoin blockchain for anybody who is willing to do a bit of leg work. The payouts being listed on the site is all a scam and most probably money that is just bounced form one account to another to create the impression of \'payouts\' As they say, suckers are born every minute and this is clear by the number of deposits this person is raking in. For today alone there is more than ten already. If at all possible can this site be shut down before more innocent people lose their money to this scammer. Regards ****  ( censored by me )

I blocked the account, but it was total scam. Be aware of the possible things you encounter.

I will also copy/paste a part of the Whois information :

The domain is currently not operationable, but soon it may come online again.

Re: Do you really earn more money because you went to college?
by
Hasher99
on 30/08/2014, 19:08:37 UTC
People that go to college are in average brighter, harder working, more ambitious and for more affluante families and they are meant to make more money (as a group) than people that don't go to college

If you factor in the cost of going to college will you really make more money because of the diploma you will get?

Support : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nbUFBk3477o (few minutes video debating the subject)
Either or not you implement your knowledge or go into the field you graduated from,A college student is course more brighter and more intelligent than a non college attendee.Practicality comes from knowledge and knowledge from studying.

Do you mean they are going to do a sort of "EcuaCoin" shit? We've seen what happens with country coins. IF they want to go the crypto route, then they should simply adopt BTC.
It means they are gonna open up new crypto thing then how would it be decentralized again? They will for sure put on some measure to centralize it.

When will we stop pricing bitcoin in dollars, and start pricing bitcoin in real goods, ie loaves of bread or big macs?
Never is it will happen.Bitcoin of course exist due to its value in fiats, otherwise it would just disappear. No matter how much you argue reality couldn't be mended.

This person is tech-savvy and libertarian-minded. He's heard of Bitcoin but doesn't know too much about it. Any ideas for a cool way to give .1 as a birthday present other than just a print-out? Not too expensive, obviously  Cheesy
Make a paper wallet and give it to him as a gift card.No other way would be more impressive rather than this IMO

No its is not as so many people are onto the trend and we are the witness price increases cause the miners contribute onto generation of bitcoin.
