Re: Loan Required : 0.45 , Collateral worth 0.6 approx

I'm still alive i have not been assassinated, I was a bit busy  so couldn't keep up but not to worry I am sending darkstar 1 million bcn which is enough. As i messaged you I'm not able to repay you because of the market ups and down i just want the market to recover a bit. I have and will never default a loan that's my guarantee

I don't mind you taking out this loan for months on end, I just don't like feeling antsy about the collateral situation. Let me know when you send DarkStar the BCN as some of that will be used to support this loan.

Thanks,
Hatcher

What is interesting is ant200709 is asking for another loan immediately after he's been paid back rather than just asking for an extension on the loan that he had at the time. Is he really so anxious to be generous, and offer everyone amazing opportunities, or could the last loan could've been done with a friend, hoping to ensnare others?

This was getting intense to read. Where's Max? ,has someone assassinated him in real life. Will there ever  re compensation for loss on the loan?!

Stay tuned..

There is no loss. This is a collateralized loan. Not only does this not concern you, but you didn't actually read (or comprehend) the thread before you made this comment.

This loan has technically expired. I would be ok with extending it, knowing that the collateral situation is reliable (and transparent), and if the interest rate is consistent with what was outlined at the start of this thread. At the end of last month Max did ask to extend this loan for another month, yet he only wanted to pay .01 BTC interest for the extended period which is a decrease in interest by 33%. The interest rate is already very low (about .1% a day), so I told him I couldn't accept that, and asked that he keep it at .015 BTC for the month. He hasn't responded to that message from over 4 days ago:

Hey would like to extend the loan again to 31st august with repayment amount of 0.49. I have already messaged darkstar to add additional collateral so you don't have to worry about it

Last two months you did .015 each, and now you want two months for .01?
Hey sorry for the misconception it is till 31st July i always get confused between June and July

Ok, then make the total repayment amount 0.495, and it is consistent with the interest you have given in the previous months (.015 BTC each).

Dealing with max has become quite frustrating and honestly I'd rather just be done with it at this point. DarkStar_, do you want to take over this loan for me? Seeing as you have the collateral, and he seems to be more communicative with you. The total amount he owes me (before July 1st) is 0.48, but I'll settle for 0.475 BTC, and you'll get the full month of July's interest, whatever interest rate you establish with him.

Thanks,
Hatcher

People should really consider game theory when offering insane interest rates such as this. If you have enough collateral to cover the loan, then it is probably best just to sell it to get the funds you require. Of course, this can bite you in the ass if the price increases and you have to buy back at a loss, but you are offering 40%. That means in order for this to be a good decision the value of the collateral must increase above 40%, otherwise you would be better off just buying it back vs. paying that kind of interest.

Of course, the price can also go down, allowing you to buy back in with profit, so locking in a loss of 40% is clearly bad bet when you consider that possibility. But when you increase the interest to 80%, after your offer is dismissed, then it becomes pretty evident which of the two parties would be making a bad decision here.

Essentially what you're saying is you found a private key collision on the Ethereum blockchain, and Ethereum would be broken as a result of it (since you are claiming you got access to someone else's ~$400k worth of ETH/ETC and could fuck them over if you are successful in liquidating it). If this was true, it would have a devastating effect on ETH and crypto as a whole. Pretty bold claim - would love to see the proof of it.

Hi. I'm not usually one to ask for loans, but my ETH withdrawal at Bitfinex has been pending for a long time, frustratingly, and I need those funds to make a time-sensitive bet. I can cover the loan value with BTC. This is going to be an extremely quick affair, and I'll give you .001 BTC for helping me out.

Thanks,
Hatcher

You are offering the full value in BTC as collateral? I'd be down with that. Feel free to use 3rd party escrow of course

Thanks for the offer, but would rather not pay an escrow fee. Don't know how realistic it is that I get this loan filled at this point, but I'll lock the thread in 15 minutes.

https://shapeshift.io would be a better bet, wouldn't it?

Nah. I already have the ETH (it's just stuck in processing limbo). I don't want to buy more ETH with the poor exchange rate ShapeShift offers.

I think max might be having issues irl or something. He did respond to my PM and added more collateral (852 stratis, and 118 ETC that's still not sent). Would you be fine with giving him a bit more time? I don't think he's trying to scam or anything. I'll cover any losses you might get from waiting.

Sure, if you can cover any potential losses, I have no problem waiting.

48 hours have passed and max has been online multiple times (4 times that I've noticed) and he's made no effort to respond to this thread or my PM. At this point the collateral value has fallen well below the repayment amount, and my principal is currently being threatened. This is not the kind of risk I envisioned with such a low interest loan. Please send the collateral to my addresses so I can get what I can from selling it and he can pay the difference when he gets his act together.

Stellar (Bitfinex):

The collective value of the collateral for this loan has fallen below .5 BTC. DarkStar, do you still have some collateral to shift over to support this loan? I'm thinking 0.05 BTC should be enough until the loan term comes to an end.

Nope, max's loan with me is actually below 100% value.

Ok. Then I'll give him 48 hours to top up as mentioned earlier in this thread, and if he doesn't do that within that time frame I will ask for the collateral to be transferred to me.

PM sent to max.

I think he's gone, but I'm not sure if this is enough evidence.
He gave his account as collateral, that's why he's gone:

Status:
Granted
Signature Verified.
You can pm me your log in details now, once I have taken over your account, I will send funds asap.
Did you see Message to Sellingaccs? Sellingaccs seems to have defaulted on another loan already.

Someone who gives his forum account as collateral for a whole month doesn't strike me as a person who cares very much for this forum.
You may have paid 0.005 BTC for an account that's already 0.005 BTC in debt. And since DT strikes against account sales, you can't even sell your collateral, which makes it worthless.

To be fair, his tag from Hatcher is still neutral, not red, and his second loan term hasn't expired yet.

Kahc forwarded an email to me from him, and I have had some correspondence with Sellingaccs through the email address that was left. He continues to mention that payment will be delayed, but I'm holding out hope that he will eventually repay the loan.

I want to sell 200 DCT tokens. Since I am not registered at one of the exchanges Decent is listed, I would like to sell it here for a cheaper price.

Current price according to CMC is 0.00006331 BTC/token, thus in total 0.012662 BTC. I would sell it for 0.011 BTC.

If someone is interested to exchange, please pm me. If the user is trustable I would go first.

I can transfer directly to buyers exchange address. It is a great chance to make quick margin gain.

How come that you're legendary at bitcointalk and you still don't have an account at Bittrex?

Why would you expect a legendary member to have a Bittrex account? Bittrex forces strict KYC upon anyone that uses the exchange so it's very reasonable for someone not to want to deal with that shit. OP is presenting a good arbitrage opportunity for someone who does have an account and since it's convenient for him, he doesn't mind taking a small loss. Nothing here strikes me as being suspicious and I would do it myself if I could use my Bittrex account.

Re: Anybody take Sr. member account as collateral here? i need loan around 0.3 BTC
by
Hatcher

EDIT: Even with a zero-risk collateralized situation, you would be hard pressed to find someone who would be willing to lend their BTC at an interest rate of 8% for 6 months.

17% per year is a very high interest rate!

Are savings banks give as much?

It's not a lot for crypto lending. Exchanges that offer margin funding (Bitfinex, Poloniex) occasionally get to this APR without you needing to make a 6 month commitment - and the only risk you are taking there is with the platform itself. If the lender is taking on an extreme risk of default, they would want even more interest.
