Dear all Ophion Investors and Members,

Due to legendary idiot member Hueristic (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=198573), We are having a hard time continuing developement or getting interested parties involved with development. We have now just lost one of the exchanges because of his messages. He is ruining what Ophion could be for you.

Ophion is to be developed by 2 people I know well and have worked with (Still in discussion about payment) But our communication is good. We can continue this project but I really dont know how much we can make from it now as a bit of fud like this can turn people off.

Hueristic is throwing accusation at everyone and everything and lying himself to make our project look bad. We dont know what his problem is. We have no other choice but to stop the project. We are unable to fully pay everyone back due to the fact we have used funds for Marketing (Community Manager, Sig Campaign), Servers, Developers, Translators and more. But we can pay back what we can.

If you are out of pocket, This is Hueristic's fault, not ours. we only wanted to make a good project for the community, but I guess that is not possible with such trolls. I am out of pocket myself also.

Regards,

Sebastian Bates

I'd be very careful here, you notice the Red coming out?

Stop the lying and answer all those questions or it's time for me to start a scam thread on you.

OK, That may be true as I do not speak russian. Here is a link to the questions you have not addressed. All you have to do is answer them rather than deflecting as you have been doing. It makes you look shadey.

Ohh and nice try retard that tried to send me a virus. Lol talk about simple.

We will answer questions...

In the mean time more about this virus.... how was it sent to you? Email? Send the header (the WHOLE email including what smtp server it was sent from) there are ways to do tests to see if this email is actually doctored by you then or see if its real and send the file we can look at it, there are ways to disassemble things or get signatures from them. But hey, I think you're lying there yourself.

So you are saying you are NOT Sebastian Bates?

I am Sebastian Bates, not everyone we hire is me.

What is your problem? Please just say it outright so I can answer instead of all these absolutely stupid pointless messages.

If so be it, ask a graphologist to look over everyone on bitcointalk and prove that I only have this account?

As for your other claims, I made a keybase.io account because I thought it a public key was needed for bitcoin, which I only started using a few months back. When creating this account it asked me to create other accounts like twitter/github which I never had before. These are all new.

The project is still heading the same direction even if I need to educate myself with monero a bit, it will be the same project. I am curently looking into creating payment ID manually in monero to add tx_extra 32 byte. The project is going ahead, Developers will be invested, It seems we may have hired 2 today, people I Know also so work can start quick and we have a third possible intern starting.

I'm not going to let you ruin this project with your pointless absolutely stupid accusations, now grow up and if you don't like the project just don't be here.

I'm confused... So when trying to purchase some OPH for a test run it brought me to the screen where they have the public address to send bitcoins and showed the QR code with it, and when I went to scan it was a completely different address... any reason as to why?

Hi,

Thanks for pointing this out. Now fixed.

Instead of storing the address in a variable I was calling the function twice; so two different addresses.

Wouldn't have made a difference, payment would have still went through to your account.

Appreciate the find Smiley

I can't for some reason login to my OPHION BACKOFFICE.. I tried every password I use and every username but can't login and  I purchased the last day of the first wave ICO price. Yesterday I logged in fine but for some reason today the login isn't in my chrome history so am stuck..I saved that long passphrase thingy but no idea now how can I login? Can i send you my btc text i.d s you can view the transaction and help me get my account back?  Cry

I now managed to login one account but it shows no history of my purchase..

so now can't remember if i made 2 accounts because i couldn't login to one/ and now can only login to the one without a purchase in it?

This is my txd. I.D I want to invest more but I need to find this investment account..as I want to add to it.. thank you..

How is this even possible?

BTC Invested: 16.90273619 BTC
OPH Purchased: 171,167.386537 OPH

How can more ophion be bought with that amount of bictoin?
I think there is an error in the live statistics, please look at it.

That was an error from yesterday. The algorithm we setup to determine how much OPH was given per amount of btc was turned around so it gave more than it should have. We were notified of it yesterday in forum and were able to catch it before we lost too much.

We lost no more than 2100 OPH due to the error, so we decided to let the three people who profited from the bug keep it.

But really its so good for dev or project manager to be more transparent to all people/investor here as op said the project is stated to be planned to 2 months ago, i think thats enough long and proper preparation for their coin and now they introduce it to market.
this thing already explained by hazelnutter, but i'm agree with your point that this project should be more transparent, however it's to make the investor safe and feel this project is worth to be invested

I guess that leaves me with the question as to how do I make my project more transparent. I've given out my identity, with my LinkedIn profile and I have released the addresses that the ICO incorporates along with a spending log for the project. What else is there to give out?

Oh wow, Hueristic.

You have no substance or evidence to that claim.

We initially posted information about this project and ways we could do this around 2 months ago in the projects forum. It took a little thinking over but we decided to go with Bitcoin mainly because I do not know many altcoins.

We are also trying to be as transparent as possible, Showing our funds and showing what we are spending them on.

After ICO launch we have been receiving messages about bitcoin not being a secure network, you really should read back in the thread. The last few posts were around a discussion to to move to monero because people were not happy with counterparty or bitcoin.

In regards to DavidoAlto.

1. According to DavidoAlto profile he lives in Los Angeles where as I'm Near London
2. DavidoAlto gave an argument to use monero if im correct... why would we question ourself like that.
3. DavidoAlto may be posting on this thread because he is in our sig campaign?
4. We have no affiliation with this guy, we dont even have the same writing style
5. nothing DavidoAlto has posted has benefited us in any way

How would we possible be trying to scam you if we are trying to hire developers for c++/QT to help with development. We even messaged Dogedarkdev to ask if he would project lead the development for payment before your post was even posted and this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1476551.0

You have made a completely out of the blue unfounded claim which makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

What would you have us do at this stage? We are trying to make a fantastic project with the help of the community, but its not always that easy.

There may be some stuff that seems out of place regarding features, like multi-sig, but that is because its based on Bitcoin and we are now moving to monero, structures will have to change. We will have to update the website and whitepaper and this takes time. Its almost a re-design and all the work is included as well as our full time jobs.

I still need to read more on monero also, I am only going by what fluffypony said we could do with a tx.

Both are important and both will be address with the utmost urgency, especially community and marketing for now.

The feature set is fantastic, we are bringing features never brought before to crypto-currencies. This will be a breakthrough and on the monero network.

Everyone,

After a chat with fluffypony (Riccardo Spagni) - Monero Core Dev.

It appears Monero (https://getmonero.org) is a perfect solution
They have a solid built network running already with an extremely active development team

a. Monero is secure, private and untraceable.
b. The technical aspects such a block size are dynamic and will grow as Monero grows. unlike Bitcoin.
c. tx_extra script allows us to pack much data and even encrypted data into a single transaction without any fragmentation (This is a huge plus)

I cannot fault anything and with the support from the #monero-dev IRC Channel, This project can be finished on time and be more secure, quicker and better than ever I thought. Not to mention how easy and nice it was to chat to a core dev almost instantly and what a nice guy he was too.

From a user perspective nothing changes apart from having to download the monero client/node which is a whole load faster than Bitcoin core.

This is the way we are going, I believe this is the right direction of the project.

I will update with more tomorrow.

The above seems like a good solution for the 'problem'. Being that the ICO will give us a head start to so we can survive. I do think that just features are not the key to succes.
To make it an succes you need to assign someone for marketing tasks with some budget.

Most of the coins I've seen die a slow death because of lack of marketing while their developers are doing their utmost best to develop and develop.

Agreed, This is why we plan to offer our current community manager BTCat a more permanent role or look for someone else who can run the community side of things.

Sorry to interrupt but feel that some steps are skipped or forgotten. In the ICO phase it should be clear what you invest (buy into). It seems to me that all in a matter of a 5-10 replies, the complete project has changed? Perhaps the dev. can elaborate this

Nothing has changed apart from the network we are using. In fact if anything it will work better and more secure.

You are buying into the same market with the same goals and features. There will be no apparent different to the end user.

@Sebastian

There are 2 options on the table right now. Can you give us an ETA for either option. I am very interested that if the project will be build from scratch how long it will take to build it?
The development of Bitbay started in december 2014 and it's still in BETA

Below answer from chennan seems the most viable option, for speed, support and awareness.

Honestly, that is another reason why I mentioned Monero because I got that vibe from you... the monero community funds the work of devs for all kinds of tasks and projects (which most of the time the devs are seriously underfunded for the work they do)... even though I never post on their pages much, I do love watching the community grow and they have a passion for making everything just right before they release anything out into the wilderness.  You should definitely probably talk to some of them on IRC for some ideas/help on the matter at #monero ... or better yet #moner-dev ... seems like they are always lurking around on there.

chennan, Thanks for your massive help on this matter. You have turned a great project into a greater project. I will be on IRC to speak to these guys soon, Most likely tomorrow as its late here now and I want to make a good impression and do my research. Its been a long time since IRSSI was loaded up that's for sure.

This looks like a good direction and monero looks like a great currency.

-snip-

Perhaps...
But the concept how it is is good enough for people to invest over 16 BTC in just a week. Which means investors believe in it. So do I tbh. If it is a final choice
- We use APi's and never develop a unique system or
- We use a custom system

My guess would be option 1. With software you will see many things that are developed needs fine-tuning. This hidden markets feature is something genius. Let's see how that will play out.

The strength of any successful product lies in it being unique. Sure small bugs will come and they will be fixed, something that will happen with either option...

But as investors wouldn't you be more attracted to a cutting edge environment made with the sole purpose of it being the next big thing? I would.
Simply because it can't be cloned easily and it can (or should i say, it will) last longer...

+1

We would have funds and we could hire devs to get work done quickly and work in a fast and productive way, Eventually funds will diminish, but developers like me who love open source projects will stay and more will always be along to help fix stuff like bugs WHEN they happen.

I wouldn't want to put people off though when as Chennan has said, there is a lot of investigation into Bitcoin, especially because of its publicity, maybe we could be realistic, work the same method but with a coin like Monero. I could get speaking to the Monero devs about introducing some form of asseting on their chain.

We just want to do what is right for the community and the project, I don't want to create some half-assed project that will die in 5 months time because we didn't put enough resources or thought into the development process.
