i hope it doesnt upset but i am with cryptopia on this, i made my opinion clear & received a less than satisfactory response.

if you want/need a new coin, make it.

cbx is already decent, it just needs the tlc that all successful projects need.

please feel free to correct me, im open to information and opinion

+1

Exactly the way I feel about it. I'm not so concerned about time since I'm holding for the long term, CBX is a great coin. It is fast and easy to use. If we can solve some of the wallet and sync issues, we are golden. Cryptopia is kind of our lifeline right now until we have other options/exchanges in place. If we have a solid alternative, I'm fine with modifications to the coin and getting delisted etc. But I also think of the non-technical investors that have bought CBX. They wouldn't know how to manage a swap and I fear it would cut out our limited interest base as it is. I really like the new plan forward and am on board to support it until we get over the next hill.

Kudos to the core team!

This is not so good news for those that have coins trapped on yobit if they don't bother with the swap. Hopefully some pressure can be applied to them to release ppls coins and swap to the new chain.

Couldn't this give people an opportunity to retrieve their Yobit coins? If they transferred their Yobit coins to a holding account (managed by a CBX core member) They can account for the fact that they exist and verify ownership as well as remove them from circulation. Then give an equal amount in the swapped coin.

I still have a concern that the new coin will have to be relisted on Cryptopia since a swap is viewed as a new coin.

Price has taken a huge dump!  Undecided

I bought those below 20k on Yobit. I know it's a loss, but it will help keep things real for now. I don't know how many coins are over on Yobit, but I'll snatch up the ones people are essentially giving away and hold them to maintain the integrity of the price.

Hopefully you will be able to get them out at some point  Undecided

I had a little BTC on Yobit and so selling the BTG gave me enough. Haha no loss really. Smiley

Is the hard fork absolutely required? I'm concerned since this might lead to a de-listing from Cryptopia right? They like coin swaps even less. We've been listed as CBX on Yobit and Cryptopia for a long time, anyone who follows the coin knows not to buy on Yobit. I would really rather see it stay the same unless there is a fundamental reason for the change.

We have made hardforks in collaboration with Cryptopia a few times before, there were no issues. Cryptopia de-lists coins who meddle with their blockchain, which is something we will never do.

If nothing changes, then everything stays the same; including value and price. We are committed to bringing the modern cryptocurrency features that are inline with Crypto Bullion's "Precious Metal" ideology that will increase usefulness and add value.

Awesome - feeling much better now. I vote for no change, CBX is just fine.

In a few months we'll have some good news for the community. We are working on something that will put CBX on the map for good. Smiley

Stay tuned -Calvin

Hey Everyone,

Our wallet.dat file was corrupted. Once we repaired it, everything synced and we are back online. 5000 CBX have been donated late last night. We're happy to see everything moving forward so well!

Hey Everyone,

We are still planning on the 5000 donation. Our wallet has been out of sync for quite a while and so we haven't been able to send any CBX. Our engineer has been out of town and will be back later this week and we'll try to get everything back up so we can send it out. Sorry for the delay!

We already have 7 Full Supporters. Currently I can add you only as a spare node. I do not need your address for this.

Perfect - that works Smiley

still available this thread??
how can i join??

Yes, this is still valid. But you should understand the rules, especially that only
The first 7 participants who reach the rank Full Supporter will get paid.

You can join as a spare node in order to replace the disqualified user (if any).

Also agree on keeping the 1 42 coin sounds good for development.

I still say if there is no immediate road map or plan of action here within 1 week from now we should seek a deal out with a known development team and ask what kind of stake they would want in this to bring us something that is worthy of investors attention.

Why wait a week? Do you have connections with a known development team that would add some value to this coin? Please have them get in touch with me.

Just so everyone is clear, once the Cryptsy case is closed, they will be disbursing an equitable settlement from the funds they liquidated back to investors who lost value. Any CBX holder who lost coins who submitted a claim on http://www.cryptsysettlement.com/ will get whatever money the receivers were able to get back from the assets they liquidated - most likely in USD. Our group helped facilitate the liquidation and will allow those who lost money to get something back sooner. When you get your money, you should be able to buy CBX. The coins we purchased are legally ours, we didn't steal them from anyone and we don't owe anyone anything. We are currently working on tech developments, marketing plans, and generating ideas to make CBX sustainable and raise the price. We are not interested in a pump and dump - the price will rise on its own simply by the innovations that are about to roll out. We have a 5-10 year investment horizon on CBX so don't expect anything crazy to happen all at once, but this is a spectacular time to buy that's for sure.

If others with big ideas want to fund their own innovations and do something to help the coin that is fantastic. We don't mind suggestions at all, but we have a strategy in place and CBX will benefit greatly from these. Giving away a third of our investment is certainly not part of our strategy however.

We are just working on making sure the major stakeholders are on board.

Although you sound fair and supportive the above quote can not be true. I've been most active in cbx devteam and have always held over 20,000 cbx (yes the ones you are now holding).
I have rebuild some of my stake after that and have never heard from you or your group. It could have been good activitiy but the community response has always lacked. That's the same
reason as why Vonspass is not working for cbx like he did last year. CBX needs more incentive for people to be active.

btw. with the reimbursement of coins I meant the SPK coins that were given back, I was not worried about the cryptsy wallet.

We are working with Vonspass and others right now Smiley PM if you have questions.

There are enough people willing to assist with activities yet there is no managing of the available workforce. CBX needs a workforce manager.

Now market has to digest the big sell off of reimbursed coins plus bitcoin keeps going up. CBX is not strong enough to win.
Once it could keep up with the price of Primecoin but that's no longer.

For the moment I'm completely out of CBX until I see new initiatives develop and more positive growth (or bargain prices ofcourse  Wink)

CBX can win again but it must be done more professional and deliver on promises how to allocate development funds (especially on marketing and PR). When people can be hired for the work they do then you get a job well done, the volunteering route is non consistent and does not create the flow of good efforts. Perhaps it could when a few people organize Trello workboard and invite all community to participate. If every coinholder would spend 1 hour per week on a Trello task we would have a huge workforce and lots of output.

The 124k wallet should have been nulled. Even now they should be forced to put 1/2 for a development fund.

This coin is so ripe for a revamp it is crazy.

I have no idea though how a coin as aged and actually quite as known as this is not on any well known exchange. All other top alts from 2013 are on btc38. quark, mec, wdc, dgc prime etc.

This was a fairly distributed well managed coin at one point but then did not keep relevant.

Would not take much to turn it around but the 124k that can be used to manipulate the market needs to be tackled else it will go nowhere.

If they have any sense they will donate 50% of it for a development incentive pot to encourage some new developers.

I would have prefered it nulled really why should cryptsy steal my cgb and give them to someone else anyway?
How come a lot of wallets were recovered by goldcoin dev and are being handed back to their communities to be best used for there future.

Why are you against us holding 125-130k CBX? We are in talks with the core team working on strategies to increase the value and marketing of the coin. Our 125k wallet isn't a threat to the coin or the community, we are more engaged and interested in the success of the coin than ever. We are going to roll out some new programs and get this coin moving soon. We are just working on making sure the major stakeholders are on board. We haven't sold a single CBX and don't plan on it unless we need to use some to get a new exchange listed or something. I hope you can relax about our stake in CBX hunter.

Hey Everyone,

We are getting closer to working on CBX. We still have some projects going on but in the mean time has anyone started working on adding CBX to Bittrex? https://bittrex.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/202583854-Submitting-a-Coin-to-Bittrex

Cheers!

I'm also working with BTC38 to get this coin listed there. The exchange is clunky and takes patience, but they have a ton of volume over there. It would be a really good step for CBX.

That would be a good add.
Although whats happening with btc and ltc deposits there atm?

Not sure how cgb wasnt there already it was there with mec, dgc, quark, wdc in the top coins of the 2013 wave.

There is a Chinese law that requires a 1-2 week delay in getting BTC & LTC withdrawals, but we have moved a ton of coins over there and have received all BTC that was withdrawn over 2 weeks ago. We have had to put in tickets for coins where we deposited too many (there must be a flag that stops large deposits) but within 24 hours the coins have appeared in the accounts. Like, I said, it's clunky, but the volume is very high even on unknown coins.

Re: [ANN][EAC] EarthCoin - EAC v1.3.2 Now Available!
by
HelpTheCoin
on 20/04/2017, 16:42:37 UTC
So where can we exchange our EACs?

btc38 says "EAC wallet malfunction, is waiting for EAC official maintenance"

and jubi has not an english version.

And who conducts the "official maintenance"? I see sometimes great volumes in btc38, but I cannot participate.

I have the same question. Still got some old earthcoin that i want to transfer to btc38. I thought that someone had indicated that the issue with btc38 regarding earthcoin was recently solved? Has anyone got an update on this?

Also is there any news on earthcoin. Is is still being developed or dead?

Well, the story was like following:
I made a transfer of my EAC to BTC38 in beginning of December 2016. The EAC transfer did not get credited with BTC38, so I started a support ticket and asked what is going on. The answer was, that there is an issue with the wallet and I should wait, it will be fixed.
Two weeks later still no credit of my EAC transfer, so I wrote again back to them. Same again two weeks later and so on. I ended up in February/March 2017 with dozens of questions and answers in the support ticket, as finally on one day they wrote me, that the wallet will be fixed and I should check soon. And yes, I finally got my EAC credited.
So I posted here the result, that BTC38´s wallet is/was working again with crediting EAC.
Not nice to hear, that currently deposit is not working anymore.... Is this true?

Here's my conversation with BTC38:

service staff 小叮当: You provide screenshots and prove the existence of the EAC's transfer is a BUG, EAC, there may be a risk of the bifurcation now let's stop function of deposit. Waiting for EAC administrator to repair it.
(04-19 18:13)
Calvin Weight:Where do I send the screen shot?
(04-19 18:18)
service staff 小叮当: Just consulting administrator, now deposit has been recorded, please check the balance. But EAC deposit function temporarily stop working, please don't in the deposit, after waiting for recovery in use.
(04-19 19:03)
Calvin Weight:Any luck on fixing the EAC wallet? I only have 1 last deposit...
(04-20 21:44)
service staff 小叮当: Only the EAC administrators to correct it. Not all of the deposit will not be recorded.
(04-20 22:59)
Calvin Weight:So it's not a BTC38 issue it's the EAC developer's issue?
(04-20 23:23)
service staff 小叮当: Yes, because we receive the invalid EAC, so the EAC exist bifurcation BUG.
(04-20 23:28)

Again we are willing to help fix this if we can.
