Re: What are the common characteristics of successful people?
by

on 02/02/2017, 13:39:48 UTC
I think luck has something to do with it.
Being in the right place at the right time, having an idea at the right time in history, having parents with money who can back your business idea... Plenty of people would be successful if you just added some of those factors into the mix.

Not much impact yet.  Our games are aimed at people who like to gamble, and who like to do it using BitCoin.  I think that subset of the market is still quite small at the moment, but it is getting bigger all the time, especially as China adopts BitCoin more I think.

You always have to be careful what you wish for.. you ask for immortality
and you get to stay alive, but all dried up and unable to move or speak or something.

I think it definitely depends on 'how'.  Wouldn't mind being 27 forever!

Can I just ask a bit of a random question...

what sort of games do people enjoy playing?

There's a lot of the same sort of BitCoin game out there.. dice.. chance.. that kinda thing.

If you could choose a type of game - what would it be? (other than safe, secure, actually pays out your winnings etc!  Wink )

Re: Tutorial - Start Your Own Faucet!
by
HelpfulElf
on 31/01/2017, 09:46:26 UTC
We're thinking of adding a faucet to our site https://bitcoin-arcade.com/

I'd like to ask everyone two things:-

  • Would a BitCoin faucet encourage you to stay and chat and/or play?
  • How much is a reasonable amount per giveaway?

Play Fun Vintage Arcade Style Games with BitCoin or BURST.
No registration, on-chain & play in minutes.
 https://bitcoin-arcade.com/

Well, first you need to know "FaucetBOX.com is closing", so you need another script...

ok - well we'd probably write our own script anyway, but any update on how much
you might expect per 'drip' of the faucet?

We would want to reward players for chatting and also for playing with a special bonus I think... ?

Re: What Are Your Thoughts On Vegans? Or Going Vegan ?

I think even going vegan for a few days a week can help your body to become more healthy -
too much cheese and fatty meat isn't good for anyone!  It helps the environment too, it takes
a lot more water and energy to grow a cow than the equivalent in plant protein.

But.. each to his (or her) own.  if you want to try some great recipes though, there are
tons here, most of them more delicious than you would believe - and definitely not boring:

You don't have to be 'pale' and 'weak' on a vegan diet at all.  Some of the world's best weightlifters are vegan:

and if you think vegan food is bland and tasteless (or expensive for that matter) then try this recipe- it's AWESOME!

Cool Idea- Definitely think we should have a games section!

Haven't done any roleplaying for a while now, but have done DnD and internet games in the past.

well I never!

Apparently there are some (not loads, but still..) places you can get food and drink for BitCoin in the UK

http://www.wheretospendbitcoins.co.uk/category/food-and-consumables

Including a village shop, a butchers and even a farm shop!

Last time I went to a farm shop they looked at my Visa debit card with suspicion.

How can you have that inside information, it will only be possible if the market is rigged just like rigged games in sports betting.

Well I think enough said there..  I think the sports market is massively rigged!

There is no such thing like that in trading, the price moves in real time and it is the true performance of the market.

Well - unless you work for a company and you happen to know that they're planning to buy out another company next week or some other big news that will push the price up.. or down...

Re: How to tell your Girlfirend about BitcoiN??
by
HelpfulElf
on 27/01/2017, 14:00:07 UTC
I even get her to make simple tasks for me like faucets and stuff like that. Key is to tell her all the nice things in simplest way possible, like what kinda vacation can we afford if bitcoin flies to the moon.

Uhhhhhh, just like to add that not everybody involved in BotCoin is, like, a GUY.

I'm not, and though I'm more than happy to get any info about how BitCoin works from anyone and everyone,
(I definitely don't know it all - or anywhere near!)  - please not 'in the simplest way possible'

Yeah - sorry, I'd have to agree. Unless you have some kind of insider information (not sure that would be legal, but anyway) then I think trading is exactly the same as gambling.

Also, insider information works for betting too... it's all way more similar than I think people want to believe.

In any case, if you're an ordinary 'human' trader you're going to lose out to trading bots and companies with massively faster connections to the data (so they can move faster) than you ever can.

Just my opinion mind you!

The little horses are cuuuuuuuuuuuuuuute. Make 'em run! Don't worry, we give them a lovely e-carrot and fresh straw in their digital stables every night.

Seems like loads of people are addicted to coffee! I love coffee. Got an aeropress for Christmas,
and even though I'd had half a pot of coffee already.. had to try it out of course.

Ran around like a loony talking 30000 words a minute after that.

You can have too much of a good thing.

I was watching a program about this the other day where they put a gambler in an MRI machine and measured his brain while letting him gamble.

The interesting thing was that the pleasure centers of the brain lit up almost as much from just having a go, as actually winning.

it seems that the brief moment when you think you might win is almost as good as when you actually do win!

Nice games, almost you used a different background than other games, i played on the grabber. I think that you could add the QR codes on payment address, it will be easier for users who use mobile wallets. Good luck on your project !

QR code is a great idea - thank you, will get that done next week.   Cheesy

Had a lot of problem with PayPal, great if you're a customer, not so great if your a business.
We got ripped off loads of times, people would order, then deny it.  Because we didn't have
a physical product to deliver to an address, we lost out every time.  I'd never use PayPal again.
