[ANN] Mulierum | POW | GhostRider
by
Herbert
on 31/08/2024, 05:50:24 UTC
Mulierum is our first major blockchain project. It is basically a fork of Raptoreum, which was a fork from Dash, which was a fork from Bitcoin.

Why did we chose this fork ? Because of it’s mining algorithm first of all due to it’s capabilities to reject ASIC which are very known to consume a lot of power.

Our team believes that POW is more fair way of coin distribution.
But you can stake your coins just by making an internal transactions within your wallet.

Note: You don't need to send your coins to someone else wallet.

Thanks to staking with SmartNodes mechanism, you contribute to the security and decentralisation of the Blockchain network.
The higher the percentage of staked assets in the network, the more difficult it is to attack it.

In case you need help in deploying SmartNodes We have detailed document on our
website.

Our team believes SmartNodes is better than POS as all transactions are verified by
miner yet you can stake your coins without locking them.

The idea is simple: a coin that helps people earning assets while mining and staking using the Mulierum features.

Each Mined block offers 5000 Mulierums, from this

75% goes to the miner
20% goes to the smartnodes
5% goes to the developers to maintain the network.

The Mulierum blockchain has already integrated private wallets where the balance can be hidden directly from the wallet.
The smartnodes are accessible directly from the wallet as well.

CPU Friendly

GhostRider algorithm is both CPU/GPU Minable but CPU's are more efficient for mining Mulierum.

Smartnodes

Smartnodes are used to handle smart contracts, and provide 51% \ double spend protection. In addition this allows:

- Larger allowed contract size.
- Greater variety of programming languages can be used.
- Removes the scaling issues and large increase in gas tx fees.

bitcoinmonitor.net will shutdown.

I hope to have it running 2-3 more days, but circumstances are out my control. So right now there is nothing I can do about it, and it seems unlikely that it will be back up soon.

The website is down. Are the callbacks still calling back?
Ah, Murphys law  Angry Server went down and caught me off-guard as I was just on the road on the way home from vacation. Restarted it this morning and everything is running fine again. Callbacks were not triggered during the downtime, but in the meantime all missed transactions should have been collecteted and callbacks done.

Hey,
I am using your website and it is absolutely AWESOME! I have a question though, I am making a php script that is using your website for notifications on payment, and how would i $_GET this information. I used to use blockchain http calling and it put the results in the URL, and I could easily use $_GET to get the data, but your POST posts in json, and getting doesn't work for me normally. How would I get things from your json post

It is a bit quirky with php to get the raw post data. It should work like this:
Code:
json_decode(file_get_contents('php://input'))

Currently there is quite some delay for notifications > 0 confirmations. I will post again when this is sorted out.
Turned out there was a huge backlog of tasks in the system, mostly caused by someone trying to monitor satoshidice addresses again. I disabled this agent and the site is now quickly catching up, taskqueue is almost 0 right now. I expect within the next hour all pending notifications should be handled.

possible bug?

In the API docs it is mentioned that

watch_type:
    "1" = Watch for deposits,
    "2" = Watch for withdrawals,
    "3" = Both.

However when I create the agent using the API, the values "1" and "2" seem to do the opposite (based on the "Edit agent" window and my experiments)

Thanks for reporting this. Fixed the documentation  Grin

Is the site closed for good?
Probably... I'm not decided yet if i bring it back up. Definitely don't have time for it at the moment.

There is a problem with notifications at the moment. Only 0-conf notifications getting through, notifications for higher confirmations are not triggered. Looking into it right now...

Working again, but may still be a bit flaky. System is catching up on the lost notifications, that might still take an hour. I will have a closer look on the logs the next days - please reply here if you see any missing notifications.

Is it not hard to transfer money to the account if it isn't in your name?

From which exchanges have you had luck with SEPA transfers, and how long did it take?

FWIW bitstamp explicitly prohibits this kind of "third party withdrawal". They only will withdraw to bank accounts running on the same name as the bitstamp account.

Re: What safeguards can I use when attempting 0 confirmation transactions?
by
Herbert

To make life harder for potential double-spenders make sure to
  • have a well connected node
  • immediately rebroadcast received transactions relevant for you to as much nodes as possible
  • run bitcoind in "nolisten" mode so it is not possible for an attacker to directly "inject" malicious transactions into your bitcoind instance

Note that this just increases the difficulty of certain double-spend attacks. By no way it makes them impossible.

Site is unfortunately offline as my hosting administration account was compromised and I need to rebuild all related servers. Right now I can not tell how long it will take.

Server rebuilt and running again Grin. Still catching up on the blockchain, might take about an hour until it is up-to-date. Let me know if something is not working as expected, as I was quite in a hurry getting it to run again...

For the first time in over a year there was a successfull hack attack today on bitbattle.me. Good news is that wallet protection measures worked, so the hacker did not manage to empty the hot wallet (although he was quite close...). But the site will stay offline until I have more information on the attack.
If you placed bets while the hack/shutdown was in progress and did not receive your payout/refund please let me know so I can refund you.

I had 2 reports on stuck payments the last few days. The root cause is identified and I'm working on implementing a fix. Until this is in place and you don't see your payout transaction coming through, let me know so I can manually fix it.

The tx was generated with createrawtransaction and signed accordingly with a 0.7.x bitcoin client. Now when I try to send with sendrawtransaction the behaviour is different it with 0.7.x (transaction gets accepted) and 0.8.5 (transaction is rejected with Code -22). It seems that IsStandard() fails with 0.8.5 but succeeds with 0.7.

Does someone know where the behaviour is changed? Unfortunately I can't debug this at the moment and from just looking at the code i am not understanding why it fails.

Thank you!
