Re: Don't buy facemasks for the coronavirus!

They won't protect you and you're just adding more waste to the land and water... They also don't cover your eyes which is probably how most infection gets in.

According to healthline and many other sources, COVID-19/the novel coronavirus has a diameter of ~120nm while face masks only have a filter up to 300nm. I've been looking through information on facemasks have two main purposes:
1. Industrial: This is where someone is commonly working with small particles that need to be blocked going into their respiratory tract, such as wood workers and the like. Thre is also a use case for these in China for their pollution levels since carbon particulates above 100 micrometers in size are known for increasing the risk of asthma and 300 micrometers are known for producing carcinogens pretty quickly (I hope i got that the right way round).
2. Medical: Contrary to what a lot of people would thiink, the N95 model (I'm told is the most popular in medicine) actually just stops the surgeon/practitioner from projecting salivery deposits onto a patient and aren't actually for reducing the amount of infection spread between the two - probably the reason most doctors actually don't wear these. Quarrentine outfits probably give the doctor a certain amount of time in with a patient before they're changed, or have additional tuping to allow for them to receive air from outside the quarrentine unit (either that or they have more advanced filters, there's probably some fancy electrostatics devices for this sort of thing).

Anyway, your face masks just mean you're improving everyone else's air quality and may mean your immune system starts to become complacent (well if my nose is already covered, I clearly don't have to do anything)...

And the eyes link back with the same tubes as your nose and mouth, hence why when you have strong eye drops, you can taste them in the back of your mouth or when you throw up you feel your eyes burning a little.

IF you're under 35, it's highly unlikely it'll kill you.
If you're over 35 but are still pretty healthy, you shouldn't face much issue with it either. I've known 60&70 year olds to have caught pneumonia and barely noticed it (just got a temperature and shivers). If you worry about it too much or you're not healthy, that's when problems can start to arise and probably the hope with a lot of mainstream media that you will catch something and give a payout to big pharma (I'm looking at you USA)..

That's the point of the facemasks, to protect others. That's been known since the beginning. You wear a facemask to protect others from yourself, and in turn others wear facemasks to protect you and others themselves. Then you have a holes who are inconsiderate.

So many people infected and so many deaths, yet I only know of two people from work, friend, and family who have had it. I don't k now what to think about that. Did the restriction made it so it would be so little, or is it not that serious. I mean they both recovered pretty easily.

I feel so bad for the owners of one of my local supermarket. A couple of months ago they had to close down because there was a problem with a wall or something, and so didn't past an inspection, and then this Corona thing hits. Business would had been booming. It's like missing out during a crypto boom.

Our troops were in the country illegally.  IF iran had troops fighting in the streets of Kansas, would we bad for killing them?

Thats a dumb question because Iran doesn't invade other countries.

You can say that in all wars the other country's troops are in there illegally.

From what I know of Trump he would never go to war with Iran. He really does seem to make the connection that it results in loss of human life, and wants to avoid that. Trump might just be one of the nicest Presidents we've had.

Re: Bitcoin recovery
by

If this is a scam, what are the chances that someone here will fall for it? First a person has to lose their password for example. That's a very tiny group of Bitcoin owners. Bitcoin owners, the ones who actually visit Bitcoin talk are probably more tech savvy than normal. So the lot of of such people is even smaller. And then for the 1 or 2 people that fit this lot, they more than likely will ask for help, not randomly look in the off topic section.

Then if one person fits all of those criteria, then they have to fall for either the OP asking them for money for their service. Or if they just want to keep the wallet, actually be able to crack a password, unless it's a very short password, they won't be able to brute force it.

I wrote too much.

It's good to bring awareness to people whose life was turned into a hopeless hell, only to be killed and then forgotten.

With technology now, makes you wonder of all the innocent people here now and throughout the millenniums.

The first thing that I thought about the way it was presented in the headlines here is if it's true or if it was a false flag. Because really, what does Iran gain by shooting down a US drone?

Some of these things never makes sense which makes one wonder.

I'm not from England, but how exactly does that work? Did she resign out of her own will because people wanted her out, or was she forced out in some way?

Knowledge does give you a strong foundation, but more so than than just simply knowledge it's experience.

You can read about all the mistakes that others have made, and I've done that, but you still end up making the same mistakes because it doesn't really click in until you experience the pain that the mistake caused. This is a very frustrating journey.

Don't think in all or nothing. Since you came in May of last year I'm sure you still make some profit. If you can just take out what you initially put it and just be grateful for any thing that you might earn in the future. If you don't then at least you didn't really lose anything.

Glad to see so many positive responses to the new rules! If you haven't already seen them head on over to #rules in our Discord.

The new rules are going to make AD11 a massive one for everyone, even newbies! The new multipliers got rid of the old pots and are going to allow for a more fair distribution.

I, for one, can't wait  Smiley

I do think the new rules make great sense Smiley There is a great incentive to hold and folk are less likely to dump even if they dont hold 5K plus PRiV.

It will ultimately mean a very fair distribution and also reward those that have invested if they haven't participated in all the airdrops to date.

I've been thinking about the new rules and I'm not so sure it will keep people from holding. For example, if one has 10k, they will need 15k more priv to make it to the next level. That's 1.5x more, but not 1.5x the reward. So I could see many selling, so long as they keep it over 10k. The same with 5k, at 10k they won't get 2x the reward.

Does this make sense?

Re: Is being rich synonymous to laziness?
by

on 02/08/2018, 21:17:27 UTC
Laziness if more of an internal quality, rather than a quality that's there based on your wealth. It's a personality trait. Some people cannot sit still doing something, they always need to be involved in a project. Some people can have a lazy personality, but be forced to work because they are poor. So it's more of an individual thing.

The biggest problem with altcoins is that it seems that when Bitcoin pumps, it kills the altcoin, and when Bitcoin crashes, it hurts the altcoin. I wish I knew that before because I figured that alt coins game me the better chance to succeed.

Some people are doing a lot. More than enough for one person, but the vast majority of people are not going to care about the effects that we have on the planet. They rather watch tv, relax and play their video games on the Here Now. (Little play on my name.) Can't really blame many because they're just so distracted by their life struggles.

Re: why do people agree to pay taxes?
by

It's part of the status quo. If they don't pay taxes they will get a in a lot of trouble. And most people choose that than to have their life and credit ruined. I'm sure that's not a good excuse for you, but if the government doesn't have money, then it can't run, and whatever you have won't matter.

I have lost Hugh amount of bitcoin, and I believe some person's here too have gone through same. Can we please share our experience and lessons.

My story :My wallet was hacked, by God knows who. That was 2017 may. I logged in to my blockchain wallet to notice that 0.9  btc I have been accumulating Since 2016 has been taken. Leaving less than $5 worth of bitcoin for me.

My lesson :  don't trust anyone with your crypto, laptop or password. Because I believe someone close to me did that.

That's horrible. That's why I don't even trust my family members with my computer, because you just never know. Just because they're family doesn't mean they are angels, especially when it comes to money manners. Criminals have family too. Hopefully you bought back before the big boom.

Re: [ANN] ALAX - The Blockchain Game Platform for Emerging Markets
by
HereNow
on 17/07/2018, 06:05:56 UTC
Good evening. While the volume of the coin is weak, but this is a temporary phenomenon. Be patient and the coin will please us. I wish everyone good luck.

All of the ALAX Airdrop participants, who followed the rules and fulfilled all the conditions, should already have ALX in their wallets! 🙂

HOW TO ADD ALX?
You can find a detailed guide how to add ALX to MEW in this blog post:  http://bit.ly/ALXDistribution
TLDR
Address: 0x49b127bc33ce7e1586ec28cec6a65b112596c822
Symbol: ALX
Decimal: 18

You can trade the ALX tokens on QRYPTOS, CoinBene, CREX24, (and of course EtherDelta). You can find all info about past and future listings on our blog, in section EXCHANGES (http://bit.ly/AlaxExchanges).

I hope to see ALX being listed on Coinmarketcap very soon and will be glad if it will done within a month or two. And I guess the community would love to hear some good news from the devs very soon. Smiley

Yes we are already working on being listed on Coinmarketcap, when we get there our community will be the first to know, so stay tune on our telegram, discord or slack and our social medias Smiley

Nice to know that! I'm optimistic that being listed on Coinmarketcap will have a positive impact on the project and giving it more exposure to the crypto community. Imho.

Well, I think the volume of $300,000 is strong, compared the majority of new coins that I follow. When you said low I was expecting like $20,000. Of course I understand that a volume in the tens of millions is more desirable.

Right now it is a decent volume. Not impressive or so, but definitely something investors can work with.

Exactly most of the other coins that I'm involved with have much lower market caps, so I'm happy with this, since ALAX is a new coin. And I liked that you said Decent, because of "Decent" is involved with ALAX.
