I personally would love one. Getting back into crypto after a long hiatus, would love to set up a mini plug&play rig that can hold it's own against the mass of ASICs nowadays. Still have a have a block eruptor in a desk somewhere, have fond memories of that lil guy Smiley

We've made it this far, I wouldn't be surprised. I read that exchanges are getting thousands of new users a day, and the price is almost $19000 in some places.

Yeah, it can be annoying, but I think that as long as they are limited to one thread per service then they aren't breaking any rules.

Nah, often times the reason people join is to ask a question. If they are blocked from asking their question the moment they join it will be much more difficult to integrate them into the community

Re: MULTIPLE ACCOUNT

It is allowed, but one of their main uses (Signature Campaigns) ban them.

It is not just moderators but any trusted member of the community (DT1 or DT2) that can give negative trust which will make the account wortless.

What does DT1 and DT2 mean?

They are the two levels of Default Trust. EX: DefaultTrust is DT0, people trusted by DT0 are DT1, and people trusted by DT1 are DT2, etc.

Always good to have a new enthusiastic manager, but if I may offer a bit of advice, try redesigning your banners. The yellow highlight on a red background is kind of off-putting, and if you are designing the signatures as well you may scare off a few interested parties. Best of luck!

Your node connects via Tor *and* your regular IP by default IIRC. To run it only through tor, try using the commandline `-proxy` argument

Hi E5! Quick question about your stuff, what level of access does the DirectTV Now account grant? Is it the purple / 'Gotta have it' level? (see here: http://cdn.directv.com/content/dam/dtv/gmott/html/compare-packages-account.html). If I were to get multiple accounts from you (either vouch Wink or regularly) could I get a 'bundle discount'? For like 5? Do I get to choose the email / password the accounts go to? How long do accounts usually last for? Thanks!

Did the old account have an address you can sign a message from? That is generally how theymos handles account recoveries.

Re: Block Size of 1,068 KB. Can someone explain this?
by
HeroC
on 27/08/2017, 18:51:24 UTC
There is no longer a hard limit on actual block size, it is now calculated on the contents of the transactions to be close to 1MB. I saw the algorithm on here somewhere, I'll see if I can find it again. But yes, it has to do with the activation of SegWit.

Re: Is it possible to generate address using defined text?
by
HeroC
on 26/08/2017, 17:43:08 UTC
No the private address or private key and the public key are derived using a mathematical formula. There are Services out there that attempt to give you a vanity address, but all they have done is generating a mass number of keys and parse the list that they've come up with for some common words names things like that.
The private key is Created from the public key using math that same public cable always produce that same private key and vice versa.

If the private key is made from the public key, what's stopping me from taking your bitcoin address (public key), calculating the private key, and taking your coins?

It is only a one way calculation. The Private Key can get the public key, but not vice-versa.

I have that same dongle, and I got it for ~$20 I think. It's on amazon, and comes with two antennas, some adapters, and the dongle itself. That website is also really helpful for setting up different things with it. I tried and got some AM Radio, the National Weather Service, police radios, and a few other things. It's a neat trinket: http://a.co/dFsVWBz
