Some individuals foolishly fall prey to scams even when the handwriting is boldly written on the wall with capital letters
It's either due to gullibility
Or greed..

I've got a traditional English attitude, and I don't want to be seen to be in the midst of a load of account sales.
Firstly you're on bitcoin talk, in the midst of tons and tons of spammers, scammers, account sellers/buyers ETC....

And you posting in the marketplce--auctions,would simply be you doing business,no strings attached whatsoever, you could self moderate the thread to keep it clean and free from those you're trying to avoid in the first place..

And you're @Jetcash,no ones gonna think you're in there spamming or trading accounts..
Now that's the good part of being a reputable member of this forum

One part that should also be put across as regards plagiarism on this forum is that,it doesn't really matter when the offense was committed..

You come across appeals where the OP claims he only did that(plagiarised)when he was a noob(for those who have ranked higher)
The fact still remains that a plagiarised content was found in your post history
It doesn't really matter how far back,as long as you're caught, you will definitely be banned..

So noobs who plagiarise now, and probably do not get caught, and happen to rank up...
Probably someday in the future, you could login your account and get the ban message
See you in Meta then...

Bounty managers should also discourage their hunters from using it as it just fills profiles with pyramids.
This has nothing to do with bounty managers, please give those guys a break
This is simply down to bad posting behaviour, and it's down to the individual/users ineptitude

I find it weird blaming someone else for anothers posting behaviour, take a look at this thread

None of them work for the so called bounty programs

If you wanna shop, then you can do that in a shopping mall nearest to you Grin

But if you're looking to purchase bitcoins, you can do that via a recognized exchange, you can try googling about them, to get a more detailed description and how they work
Here are few examples:coinbase,Binance,coinbull,Luno,markets.com
You can so purchase bitcoins via decentralized exchanges,if you feel they'll be safer for you
DEX such as:IDEX,Wavesdex,openledger dex,Oasisdex etc..
https://www.bestbitcoinexchange.io
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1629118.0
You can also purchase bitcoins directly from an individual, without the use of an exchange, but while doing such, the seller must have an account on this forum, and must be a trustworthy member
Also the trade Must be conducted using a third party trusted escrow service,to umpire the transaction, and keep you safe incase something goes wrong, the trusted third party must be of high reputation in this forum, and have a plethora of positive trust rating, take note; trust isn't based on rank

Thats the ANN section,marketplace(Altcoin)and the bounty(altcoin)(mktpalt c.board)
You can find bounty programs in there.

BTT is a forum(for discussions),Our(your)main aim here is(should be) quality discussions, bounties are simply secondary, and considering your account is brand new, I think you should concentrate on learning and ranking up, and not bounty programs, and here's why https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5030366.0

Re: Importance of miners
by
Highpitched10
on 02/11/2018, 17:07:00 UTC
. A miners doesn't necessarily have to be a cryptocurrency gray hair even a newbie can become a miner.
Threre no such thing as rank disparity in mining, its simply based on computing power,if we're to go back to 2009,then anyone could attempt mining from his/her laptop, but with the gradual development of the system,so also it became more difficult to mine, huge electricity, mammoth capital, mining rig and so on and so forth that costs a fortune
To become a cryptocurrency miner you would need to put together a mathematical puzzle using soft ware for example in bitcoin the puzzle made by satoshi Nakamoto where you get bitcoin after solving the puzzle.
Bitcoin is obviously digital, and isn't physical in anyway, what miners do is,when an order is placed by a customer, its the duty of miners to confirm this transaction and move it over to another block, and they do this but solving a cryptographic puzzle, and the first miner to solve this puzzle is rewarded with bitcoin from thin air/transaction fees

The 21mln bitcoin has already been programmed,so when a miner successfully confirms a transaction,he/she gets rewarded(they do not technically create bitcoins)

Re: Speculating the market?
by

Trading and investing in financial markets seem so easy. The market can only do one of two things. It can go up, or it can go down. So why do so many people lose?
It's clear why so many people lose, and trading isn't always so easy..
Yeah it's quite easy to buy when prices are low and sell when prices are high, basic hodling

But what about those who flout trading rules and buy when the price is rising(its always not so good), for example numerous individuals bought bitcoin when it was 20,000usd and they've seen the price fizzle down to 6000+,that's about 14,000usd dollars loss for those who've been faced with issues and had to sell off.
And for those who are still hodling, they only can wait and hope..

It's basic, never sell lower than what you bought for, except you're in dire need of the cash

So many people also lose because they put all their eggs in one basket
No matter how little your capital is always try and split it into different baskets, that way in case of any mishap you'll have what to fall back on

When preceding comments get deleted from an original post, doesnt it immediately change the number of posts the topic has already, how are we going to keep track with the number of deleted posts and the original ones

Also there is never a time posts come to a culminating end, comments keeps coming in even after many months or so, there are threads on this front page that are over 6--7 months old
How then can you end calculations when comments are still coming in that very thread/topic

Re: What do you think only the rich can make profit from Bitcoin?
by
Highpitched10
on 01/11/2018, 20:07:34 UTC
Your return in investments are commensurate to your earnings, you can't expect to invest 100$ and earn more than someone who put in a 5000$

It's just basically easy to figure out,the major constraints in investing is limited capital, and so since the rich have enough capital to throw about, definitely they'll earn higher than those with far less capital

Smartness, patience and less greediness are vital tools in trading/investing
But the major determinant is investment capital, without it, the aforementioned tools are useless

The amount of ICO/campaigns/bounties that pay in recognized coins are as little as 0

They mostly love to pay in their own tokens,to promote their project

Creating a new section for a 10% content would be unnecessary
You can always search for them in the (Altcoin) bounty section,if they exist

Re: Do You Need To Put Your Emotion in Trading ?
by
Highpitched10
on 01/11/2018, 16:19:55 UTC
Honesty it solely depends on the trader/investor
The sole aim of investors/investing is to maximize profits.
And to the investor he/she doesn't/shouldnt care how they go about it.
As long as profit is yielded in the very end as opposed to loss, then it's fine/a successful trade..

Emotions/no emotions
It depends on exactly how they would be put into play, you wouldn't call a trader smart or an "Emotional" one simply because he traded with all the money he had
Thats being greedy and stupid, and doesn't always come out good...

Neither would you call a trader smart, and one who keeps his emotions in check, when he/she doesn't buy coins when the prices are low,but decides to purchase them when prices are rising(which is abhorred in trading)
That's simply being unwise..

Whichever term the both can be applied,as long as the trader keeps his head, and works to maximize profits, and suppress loss, then it's the right way to trade.
With or without Emotions

Re: What will happen to Bitcoin if there is a global economic crash?
by
Highpitched10
on 01/11/2018, 10:57:12 UTC
IMHO bitcoin has nothing to do with the world economy or the economy of a nation..

Bitcoin is a peer to peer electronic cash,it has no connection whatsoever with the government,if there is a global economic crash, then the only victims would be the FIAT currencies of our various nations

Bitcoin is at an individual level, that's why it's called a decentralized platform, free from the government and it's regulatory body and any economic meltdown whatsoever,it only affects individuals directly or the mass of users in general

The system can only be affected based on the demand and supply of the currency
Probably if there is 0 demand for the bitcoin, then that could signal the end of the currency(which is not going to happen)

Bitcoin would thrive even in an economic crash or meltdown

Rather than blocking newly created accounts through IP addresses tracking, I would suggest that a thorough KYC should be done for newly registered members
This system is anonymous, and anonymity remains key in keeping one safe in this network

I and 99% other users wouldn't give up our identity simply to come and post in here and read shitty threads like this one above@original post

on 01/11/2018, 05:50:06 UTC
His question was posted more then a month ago, and he is inactive for over a month now, just somebody bumped the thread today and here we go again, the same discussions.
Not that it's bad to have discussions,no.. it's just that we repeat ourselves every single time this happens.
It really doesn't matter how far back a thread was made/posted/started,as long as a user still has a thing or two to add to the discussion, then it's definitely OK still commenting on such threads..

We've got topics that've been on for close to a year now, and such topics still ocuppy the front page of their various sections as users still contribute a thing or two to the discussions daily

Well your assessment may be correct only based on the fact that this thread is a meaningless/redundant one

Bitcointalk has a total board of about 240
With an average post of 8018.93 posts per day.
And an average of 322.94 topics per day..

How in God's name are the moderators going to handle about 300 pending posts all on their desk, considering the fact that they also have issues to handle in real life..

It's going to be life draining for the MODS and just cannot be implemented
There are other methods to draw their attention to spam/plagiarised posts, and that's the "report to moderator button"

Instead of literally killing the moderators with more work to be done it'll only be fair if the community(@OP you included),contribute their/your own quota by searching for or anytime you come across something fishy, check for plagiarism/spam/copypasting and call the attention of the MODS

MODS are humans also
