Mine's so tiny and cute compared to some of these monsters!

But I'm into tiny and cute.

I added a couple of long bolts to put a little space between the hubs. Now it looks like a retro supercar engine block  Grin

thanks for your post,

I would like to mention the website http://www.schilderijenexpo.nl/schilderij/ed-van--t-loo
These paintings are all sold and costing over 600 euro
In the past we sold his art for over 500+ euro.
I asked Ed can you lower the price for the bitcoin community,  its already lowered to a reasonable price in our opinion for the community + we are not talking about a box of eggs you eat within the same week.
You can own the painting for your entire life. If you calculate how much it would cost @ the end it would be less than 0.10-0.02 eurocent a day.
a good painting inspires you, brings joy, enhance your room which is if you ask me priceless.
I already did lots of succesfull offline transactions(art), the first online art transaction was last week the sunflare got sold(i am still waiting for a rating from the buyer)

Re: Please help!! R9 290 CGMINER

I've been told that Linux BAMT works better than windows with the R9 290 graphics card.
Maybe that is something to give it a try.

Got this up and running in 5 minutes - all 5 cards working, no issues. .. it is BY FAR easier and better equiped for 290 cards. I had downloaded it two days ago, but was reluctant for having to learn one more Linux system.. .but there was nothing to learn. edit the config, start it... it even finds and installs your cards for you.

ive tried bamt, it kept rebooting my pc(h61 pro btc, celeron g1620, enough ram.) can you send me a link of a working Bamt version that doesnt mess up your usb stick

Re: 3 7950's on a 850w PSU?
by
Hippievogel
on 06/02/2014, 16:29:08 UTC
I have a rig that's been running 7 months with 3x 7950s getting 1900kh total  on a hx750 psu pulling 700w from the wall

psus differ very much, despite the label. Some may even work above reported load for hours, while other die at 80%. There's usually a number on a label per each rail or set of connectors for MAX load.

http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/NOX/Coolbay_HX_APEX_700W/images/psulabel.jpg

cheap brands/ cheap psu always combine the total load as you can see it is a 700w psu(If you look better you can see the load on the 12V is 600 only), mine ax860's can handle 852 alone on the 12V)
I think the way to go psu's are the ax860,ax1200(7 Years pick up warranty), some platinum seasonic's, Lepa g1600(not sure about warranty but 5+ years for sure) and the Evga Supernova 1300 G2(10 years warranty). I dont see any other Psu being a good bang for buck value.

best one is Gentle Typhoon if you can find them, always sold out because they are so good
i just bought the grey metallic Arctic F12 Pwm Pro(same brand as knc uses)
This one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835186033.
if you do a push pull configuration(which i recommend) make sure you put rings on the one that pulls otherswise it will hit the screws of the Cooling rib.

Re: PSU for 3x VTX3D R9 280x cards
by

on 31/01/2014, 10:27:56 UTC
Hey there - is a 1000W Gold-standard PSU enough for 3 of these cards, AMD Sempron CPU and 3x powered PCIe risers? The PSU I was looking at is the Corsair RM1000:

http://www.corsair.com/en/power-supply-units/rm-series-power-supply-units/rm-series-rm1000-80-plus-gold-certified-power-supply.html

I was also looking at the Corsair AX1200 PSU (1200W) but it costs 100 euro more than the RM1000, and if I don't need 1200W, might as well go for the RM1000. Thanks!

you dont want to go for the RM1000, i got several psu's and even with 0.10dollarcent a kwh its worth to go for the ax860/ax1200. the efficiency on higher loads(65%-90% load) the rm1000 drops with atleast 3%
remember there are 8760 hours in a year saving 10watts is 80kwh.
look at the graph
Rm1000
http://cwsmgmt.corsair.com/media/cms/psu_charts/RM1000-EFFICIENCY.png
Corsair ax1200
http://cwsmgmt.corsair.com/media/catalog/product/a/x/ax1200i-efficiency.png

as you can see the range of all loads stay above 90% on the ax1200 the rm1000 on the other hand drops like a rock after 55% and up load.

Re: [WTB] 65NM BFL ASIC Hardware
by
Hippievogel
on 28/01/2014, 23:57:47 UTC

so diff is going crazy, your power bill is about to outrun your earnings, and you'd like to make a little bit more off those BFL ASIC before you can't make any more.. Let me help...

I have dirt cheap power, and I can get a few more months out of those boxes.. so I'm offering $5/GH for working, problem-free BFL 65NM ASIC hardware. That works out to:

5GH Jally : $25
25GH Little Single : $125
50GH Single : $250
60GH Single : $300
480GH MiniRig : $2400

Escrow of course (\wave OgNasty), all payments will be in BTC at current BitAverage price.

PM/thread/etc fine.

yeah sure, what a price. are u serious. a ghash cost still 10+ dollar in hand.

Nope I hadnt noticed them.

However I have just found out that their units r avalon clones and are very power hungry...1250w overclocked!

Antminers use 400w overclocked.

stock clock 2 antminers @185 avg. each(including 4 fans) and 20 usb sitcks u1 uses 763 watt on a Corsair Ax860(230volt outlet)
