Re: Have you make money from ICO?
by
Hobbledehoy
on 15/10/2018, 09:06:48 UTC
Yes so far I have made a good amount of money from the coins but there comes a point where you do not make any money from the coin because they cannot get listed on an exchange. There is always the risk of this happening but now with so many scams in the market I am no longer investing in the ico market.

Re: good progress of Ripple

So far ripple is looking to be doing well, even though the coin has had a hard time during the last crash it seems to be holding up just fine. I really do believe that the coin is going to be one of the altcoins that does well in the future and see tremendous new all time highs with the prices.

Re: How safe is exchange?

Safety is not the top when it comes to exchanges a lot of them are very prone to hack which is why people are always advised to make sure that they never leave their coins on any exchanges. So you should make sure that you are only putting coins on the exchanges to trade but nothing else.

Re: My Portfolio is Down

If I have converted my portfolio to fiat two months ago, I will have 50% profit if I'm to invest the money back at the moment. I have learned a lesson again
There is no way that you could have known that the price of the coins would be this low at this point, if we had known then we would have all converted our coins and waited for the prices to come down back to this point before buying. What is done is done and now all we can do is to wait for the coins to recover back up.

Re: Crypto currency unpredictability
by

Today’s event about ripple and Etherum has just shown to all that in crypto currency, prediction is not totally allowed neither is it the best resort.

We can only focus and do our research works
The risk is inevitable

hope I get more ideas from replies

You are right, there is no way for anyone to predict what will happen to a coin and ethereum has managed to show us that once again. The best thing to do is to always wait and see what happens because if you try to predict the market thinking that you can then you are just setting yourself up to fail with the coin.

Re: The most frustrating thing about crypto
by

And that is exchanges who are keeping coins/tokens hostile for a long period of time. When I deposit or withdrawal from an exchange often times it just keeps it in pending status. Now I'm waiting for an idex deposit, 4 hours passed. My worst case was a withdrawal at cryptopia which took 30 days.

Crypto is not ready to be adopted by the masses. Lots of suicides would be the result...
You need to use another exchange then, if your coins are being held for hours then what you should be doing is contacting the customer support of the exchange so thy can resolve it. You need to understand that all exchanges are not the same and yes, there will always be exchanges which are better than others so you need to use the better ones

Re: How to spot an ICO SCAM
by
Hobbledehoy
on 02/10/2018, 21:56:58 UTC
There are a couple of things that you could look out for to spot an ico scam
You should always look out for the team members, make sure that you can put a face behind the project, without a face then you should be very wary
Make sure that you confirm and crosscheck any information before you invest your money into the project
Look at the previous places they have worked at

Re: 80% of ICOs are Scams
by
Hobbledehoy
on 27/09/2018, 21:55:57 UTC
I would have to say a higher percentage than that are actually scam coins. The fact is that there are so many coins that are useless now that even if at first they are not scams, the end up being scams because there is no way that the creator of the coins can actually sustain the projects they have created so the next thing would be to dump the coins and sign out

Re: What do You looking for in ICO?
by
Hobbledehoy
on 25/09/2018, 05:06:10 UTC
I look for a good product, one that I can be sure that people would still be using in the coming years. That is the best way for me especially if I am investing in a coin for the long term. Also I look for one with interactive team members, people that are always making sure that the investors know what is going on with the project.

Re: Does crypto bring more risk than benefit?
by
Hobbledehoy
on 20/09/2018, 20:19:04 UTC
Central bank Governor of Spain has told the cryptos bring more risk than the benefits to get. but I believe on more risk more gain theory. If you can not trust crypto, you will not be able to see its value. Risk is associated with all kinda business. It just has to be calculated properly that which one would be profitable for you.

please share your thoughts in favor of mine statement or against.
For me I will say that the greater the risk then the greater the benefit, true cryptos come with a lot of risks but i don't believe that they bring more risks than the rewards that they bring. You just have to be able to pace yourself and as long as you are making smart decisions then you are not putting yourself into as much risks.

Re: Ethereum is better than Bitcoin?
by
Hobbledehoy
on 19/09/2018, 19:33:16 UTC
No it is not, bitcoin is still the better coin there is no two ways about it, ethereum remains the best altcoin though but in terms of market value and prices, bitcoin remains the king of all of the cryptos. With the amount of people investing in the coin, it will continue to dominate the market.

There is a lot change going on in the coin market cap top 200 this days and I don't know if I'm the only one who's aware of it. Could you believe new (4months-7month ago) listed token/coin claimed much slot in the CMC top #200 list. Are those old project which belong to the spot claimed no more profitable?

Your opinion Smiley

I don't think that they are no more profitable, just that they now have a lot of competition and they are going to have to step their game up. Crypto coins are always profitable no matter how old they are, it just depends on the ability of the coin to evolve and adapt and the kind of project that it isq

Re: SLeepless nights doing bounty campaign is it worth it?
by
Hobbledehoy
on 13/09/2018, 21:59:04 UTC
I know that there are other members here working day and night doing bounty campaigns. But i think that doing bounty campaigns is not worth it especially if you had a lot of work during the day. Some are just boasting on their bounty campaign earning wherein fact maybe because they are lucky to receive those awards but somehow do not wish that you could be like them because some of the ICO project that you will going to work will not give bounty rewards and some of it will fail, or just pause. So no reason for sleeping late at night.

There is no reason for you to be losing sleep when doing bounty campaigns you just gotta make sure that you plan your day accordingly and make use of your free time to work on the campaigns, way too many of these bounties do not pay out for you to be having sleepless nights over them

Yep you are spot on, there is no way that we should be dumping in a bear market, the only thing that we should be doing is buying up the coins and making sure that we have a large enough stash that will make us very rich when the next bull rolls around. This is the time to be greedy

Re: Which is more important for us, more investment (ETF) or more adoption?
by
Hobbledehoy
on 11/09/2018, 20:17:22 UTC
I think that etf is what would bring more people into the market, when people can be sure that there are a lot of applications of bitcoin, then they would be more inclined to start investing in it, which would mean more adoption. We could really use way more adoption right now in the market.

If this project will succed it will be the future of fintech, as they say. guess this idea has the potencial to overcome the current banking institutions . what do you think ?
 https://orbistransfer.com

I don't really know about the project but you should be very careful when you are investing in new projects and make sure that you are not putting too much money into the project at this point. It does look like a good project but there is no way for anyone to tell for sure right now. Be careful.

Re: How do you feel now?

Uneasy. A lot of the investment that I made was put in ethereum and now that ethereum is being this way I don't know what to think anymore. Also the rest of the market is not helping either, we are seeing more of price dips than we are seeing recoveries. Value of coins are going down each day, no way to tell when they will be better.

Re: Crypto is weird
by
Hobbledehoy
on 04/09/2018, 18:34:38 UTC
When you look at the prices of cryptocurrencies you can see people have bought at really high prices. If you have bought $1000 worth of DeepOnion for example at the price of $19 then you would be left with $86.42 worth of DeepOnion right now. But even at these low prices right now you can still see lots of dumping going on. Logic would tell you to buy as much as you can at these low prices and hold for the next bullrun but the opposite is happening. There are some ups these days but it get's dumped very quickly. I believe we haven't seen the bottom yet.

Yea I agree that it is. The way that the prices move, the way that they fluctuate. Sometimes when you look at how volatile the market is, it just does not make any sense. One day you are looking at a coin at a new all time high and the next you are watching that coin fall down to prices that you never even thought that it would hit again. Crypto is really weird.

Re: 3 best altcoins in 2018
by

I would have to pick
Ethereum
Monero
Neo
These are the three coins that I think are the best altcoins so far in 2018. They have the most potential out of all of the altcoins that i have seen in the market so far this year which means that they are the best for me.

Re: Goodbye bitconnect
by
Hobbledehoy
on 29/08/2018, 18:59:27 UTC
Bitconnect is officially removed from the last trading platform in the coin's ecosystem. This is the first MLM coin with ecosystems in the early and middle stages of development. It acts as a multi-level model and pays interest to investors when participating. This can be said to be the goodbye of the older brother of the MLM trend with the crypto market

Thank God, the first crash happened with the bitconnect scam crashing, that is what set off all of this and this incredibly low market that we are witnessing now. With every trace of it gone then the market can start to recover quite well and on to better things.
