Thanks for 11.3 claymore, much more stable than 11.2 so far, and the auto dcri option is very nice. Are you working on auto dcri option for dual mining? Also can I request more dual mine algorithms?  thanks

Hi, guys, I am new in the mine business, I live in Spain and I would like you to recommend me which video cards to buy, with good hash and low energy consumption.

This is what a got so far:

Asrock H110 Pro BTC+
Intel Celeron G3930 2.9Ghz
Kingston HyperX Fury DDR4 2666 PC4-21300 8GB 2X4GB CL15
HDD 80 GB
EVGA Supernova 1000 G3 1000W 80 Plus Gold Modular
Riser Card PCI-E Express
GPU = unknown

I would like your opinion, I do not judge anyone

Thank you

if budget is not an issue I recommend 1070ti
ETH 31.3mh/s
125-128w

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2324651.320

The real challenge is how to get them easily with a decent price Grin

This is bad advice.  For less than half the cost you could get 31Mh/s on an rx 570, for less watts aswell

Claymore claims dual mining doesn’t hurt eth mining performance, but this is not true. I tried eth+xvg and eth hashrate dropped from 174 to about 160. Changed DCR1 to 4 and eth increased to 169. Back to eth only mining fast.
My rig: 6x rx 570 4G.

Hello, for xvg the dcri value needs to be 35-45, I find that range doesn't affect ETH hashrate

Hi again.

Firstly thank you to everyone for helping me get off the ground with my rig.

I now have 4 cards:

2 x 570 4gb and 2 x 550 4gb.

Running the 2 x 570s I get around 20(ish) on each card. So I sold a few things and got a 550 4gb - plugged that in on a riser and restarted Claymore..Found 3 x gpus..Great.

The 2 x 570's now run at a reduced 15mhs and the single 550 4gb runs at 8mhs. Which is not as good as the 2 x 570's..

Stranger still is if I add another 550 4gb it will only ever see 3 cards ? I have interchanged the risers and cables and they all check out.

Has anyone got any ideas about the reduced speed and 4 th card ?

Many thanks for any help.

Ken

Forgot to say Windows 10 - 64bit Gigabyte z170 board

Hello mate,
Try uninstalling and reinstalling the AMD drivers when you change the number of cards on your board.  That fixed it for me.
Everytime you boot up, check device manager to ensure the system can see the cards.  If the cards do not appear in device manager then I suspect a riser issue.

Youll need to mod the bios and overclock to get 30MH/s on the rx 570s

Look up polaris one click bios editor

DUDE !!!

Thank you so much.

Uninstalled and reinstalled Crimson driver - device manager instantly sees 4 cards.

I know I can clock the bios and stuff, but Im new and this cost me a lot of money (I know its not alot to others) so for the time being I'll keep it all stock.

Also - the cards now run;

570 - 22.933
570 - 22.445
550 - 10.174
550 - 10.183

Loving this.

Thank you again

Ken

Hey again mate, good stuff.

Ok well open the AMD settings thing and overclock the cards at least.  for the rx 570s, go core clock 1150 and mem clock 2000.  and make sure they are on compute mode. Do that at least Smiley

For me Phoenix Miner gives more stale shares on the pool than is reported in the software.  Generally Claymore gives less stale shares I find.

New stable blake2s verge pool:
http://xvgminingclub.info/
low fee, hashrate growing rapidly
we find blocks very often
try it yourself!

Can't connect? is it working right now?

Wasn't working for me too.
In the russian chat at the bottom I deciphered that you can also use stratum+tcp://185.185.70.246:5766

I tried and it connected.

Thank you mate! it is connected now

It's time, boys and girls, to box up your graphics cards and put them up for sale before the mad rush as Ethereum (and all Ethash coin) GPU mining is about to come to an end.

"Ethereum ASIC chips will enter mass production stage in February 2018 by TSMC’s 28nm process. The F3 miner is expected to hit the market in Q2 or Q3 2018."
http://news.8btc.com/bitmain-to-release-ethereum-asic-miner-f3-with-72gb-ddr3-dram-in-q2

Reddit chatter saying that it will be roughly the same as building a rig, so 180MH/s for about $2500.  That's what the performance of this asic will be.

Many connection issues on nlpool today...

I noticed. We got some extra attention from new fans who sent us a few billion welcome packages over the network.

Working on it, it should soon be stable again.

Edit* in 10 minutes from now it should be up and running again. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hello, still having issues with your pool... job timeout, disconnect

Hi all,
is it better to stick to last August driver for blockchain, or to upgrade to one of the recent ones on compute (rx cards)?
(I am too lazy to check...)

The Aug drivers are buggy in my experience and cause rig restarts.  You'll be fine with 17.11.4 or something like that. Just use compute mode like you say.

ahashpool info...
Now: 13:51 UTC | Next Payout: 08:08 UTC (in 18 hrs 16 mins, min 0.01 BTC)
439 miners 4.5 TH/s
it only pays in BTC after auto conversion
but minimum payout 0.01 BTC ? it will make small miners to receive their earning like for ever

hey mate, use nlpool.nl, it is the best I've found.
Finding blocks regularly and pays out in XVG and 0% fee (for a short time?)
