Re: Gladius - monetize your internet

They are already quite popular and involved. But the success would be related to how well their actual product and the service it provide works.
They would need a large decentralised and global userbase of their app to provide proper security to their clients. Which can be harder to achieve with current rewards.

I agree. To be able to combat effectively they will need to build a quite large user base to contribute bandwidth. As far as the idea it is a sound concept I believe. The execution I believe they have the self motivation.. But there is also the user base requirement. I'm interested to see how it moves forward.

Gladius - monetize your internet
by

Does anybody have any additional thoughts on Gladius? The platform is aimed as a cheaper alternative to cdn and ddos mitigation that is soon moving into beta as well releasing an airdrop aimed at teaching you about the project. It seems like a great opportunity as compared with what Uber did to the taxi industry of reducing cost and monetizing something you already own/pay for being your internet. I'd be interested in what other people have to say about it.

Please note I am a Gladius supporter, I am just curious on thoughts of the project if other people have heard. Good or bad.

Anybody selling a high level bitcointalk account let me know, with price will pay in bitcoin or ethereum whichever youd like  Smiley

What do you intend to do with the account? Buying accounts is usually a precursor for committing scams. Or for defrauding signature campaigns. Although not illegal, it is definitely discouraged and is treated with suspicion.

Because they are used for scams and for other fraudulent activity, buyers and sellers of such accounts (and the account itself) should be tagged by a DT member to avoid misuse of the traded account. Tagging is a precautionary and deterrent measure to protect other users from potential scams and scammers.

It's also shady practice to see someone jump from newbie level to hero member or even legendary by simply paying a few coins. Not nice.

Good day friend Smiley i would like to use the account for marketing a platform my company is launching - along with the account i will be looking to launch several signature campaigns

The price of altcoin and bitcoin drop. Should we be panic? What do you think of the situation. Will ICOs stop because of the ban by China, Russia and Korea? Will others follow those countries? What is the future of ICO?

Re: Big Governments Are Crushing Cryptocurrencies -- Bitcoin Down 10 Percent
by
HotCryptoNews
on 05/09/2017, 12:06:13 UTC
Well it's really only China. ICOs are still legal basically anywhere else in the world.

But yeah, this move from the Chinese government has significantly undermined the current pump. Price was almost at $5000 before the correction came that brought it down to around $4700, and when the news came out again the price went down to sub-$4000 territory.

Though price seems to be rebounding back and i think that this is going to be the start of another bull wave - albeit the new regulations. Even though this brought crypto investors nothing but bad news, it actually helped bitcoin get out of a pretty big bubble that was just waiting to be popped.

Some people tend to forget that Bitcoin is a global market, unlike Forex and the rest of the markets. For this reason, it needs a good 48 hours post-news in order for market participants to make their decisions about what they are going to do. I predict that somewhere mid week or friday as of late, the correction will end and we'll see a clear recovery marching back towards new all time highs, this time to kill the damn $5000 psychological barrier.

So let's give the market a couple of days to absorb the news and realize the fact that these news are irrelevant to Bitcoin, and there's no reason to sell at all.

100% !! thank you !
thats how new people lose money, as soon as it goes down... panic sell..only be greedy when others are nervous and be nervous when others are greedy Smiley -Warren Buffett

Re: Big Governments Are Crushing Cryptocurrencies -- Bitcoin Down 10 Percent

Big governments are catching up with Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. And are crushing them.

A couple of days after announcing that Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs) are “seriously disrupted the economic and financial order,” the Chinese government banned ICO funding.

That was certainly bad news for cryptocurrencies, which crushed across the board, with Bitcoin losing close to 10 percent, Ethereum 21.74 percent, Litecoin 24.92 percent, and BitConnect 32.10 percent.

Coin/Investment Trust   Change 24H*
Bitcoin (BTC)   -9.84%
Ethereum (ETH)   -21.74
Litecoin (LTC)   -24.92
BitConnect   -32.10

Do you know how dumb that comment is?! Governments crushing cryptos??? Ehhmm NO! It's all about ICOs! Just ICOs! And only in China! There are a few more countries out there I would guess right?! The market is overreacting as we've seen so often when you some news came out which may only influence a small portion of the market in the future. Nothing of a big deal. Just a dip you should take advantage of. That's it!
yeah it is all about ICO's but it is having an affect on crypto, i agree though - governments are NOT crashing cryptocurencies  Grin its already recovering anyway

I don't believe this is a "crash" as you say, its simply the market adjusting to change, its like an eco-system, it has to balance out in times of extreme change but it will correct over time, a really good time to be investing I'd say !

Re: Monaco (MCO) - has been grabbing big attention recently!

In the Cryptocurrency market, things can happen and it is very difficult to determine which altcoin will pump because whales and investors decide. MCO has attracted a lot of whales, which has made the MCO market keep rising in price in the last two weeks
Also, the release of the new cards will force people to hold on to their MCO for 6 months, i believe in that time it will really rise !

wow this is very impressive, so this news that makes MCO price up 2x from its ICO price? I am so regret to have sold MCO at a low price. if i hold MCO and  I sold it now maybe I can get a big profit Angry

Yup, few days before app launch it went as high as almost 30USD  Grin lots of people regretted letting go of their MCO, this is a personal opinion, but i will not be surprised if MCO goes up to about 50USD in the near future after Asian trade platform listings and working VISA cards  Cheesy

They have just released their app and card registration on IOS and Android, September they have 2 main projects i know of - Registering in more 'main stream' trading platforms and that VISA confirmation before their card launch end of September, these are all things to look forward to , i recommend getting into MCO now while its at a very low price. Hi, folks. What are your top investements in ICO?
And why you have chosen these projects?

Personally I have only TenX tokens by now, I belive making cryptos spendable everywhere is crucial.

I've made lots of money on MCO (Monaco), and its still just going up every day,so if you wanna catch a decent wave theres money to be made there

Re: [CURE] - Mining a cure for cancer
by
HotCryptoNews

[CURE] curecoin.net

I was digging through the exchange's selection of dirt cheap coins lately when I found this and thought I'd check it out.  Really cool stuff.

CureCoin is a distributed protein folding network used for research in solving diseases and (I think) curing cancer.  I'm a little murky on the specifics of protein folding, honestly it's pretty complex.  But it's doing good stuff, and it takes a lot of CPU horsepower, so the good folks at Stanford University came up with Folding@Home, which uses peoples home computers to collectively equal the power of multi-million dollar supercomputers.  CureCoin has partnered with them to create a crypto-currency based on letting users earn Cure coins by participating in this research.

Good stuff.  I like it.  So I'm trying it out, you can mine with either SHA256 to secure the cypto-coin network, or CPU/GPU mine to actually fold proteins.  Either way gets you Cure coins.  More info on this at the link.  It's very simple to setup, like any other mining.

Wouldn't you use all that GPU horsepower currently mining various versions of Bitcoin copycats on something actually productive?  Sounds like a winner to me.

I'm not sure what the investment potential of [CURE] is.  The chart looks pretty healthy, volume is low but there's still enough variation going to get some good trades in.  I bought a good sized chunk of it and I'll report back with the results of that here later.

I wish i knew about this project sooner, i will be distributing links to this foundation on all social media platform i have a big following on... LOVE THIS Shocked
