I'd be happy to return on CleverMining if/when X11 and/or scrypt-n is/will be supported

We're launching X11 and Scrypt-N this week!

Great news! Are you going to implement X13 as well?

Wow, what just happened with X11? I checked this morning and my earnings was sitting on 0.024 and profitability like 169% vs LTC, just got a payment of 0.038 and profitability shot up to 369% - awesome! Definitely not complaining Wink

Re: [ANN] WhatMine.com | Compares ALL Coins Profitability

So does anybody use this site to determine what they are going to mine? How accurate has it been?

I've been using it for a bit now, has been quite accurate so far but I have been bitten a few times with coins that aren't exchanged frequently / no buy orders etc.

The difficulty updating seems to be pretty accurate and i'd say 90% of the time has been better than CoinWarz by a decent amount.

The only thing i'd suggest is limiting the exchanges to your favourite ones and making sure to double check the following:

  • Actual difficulty of the coin before mining (I do this by going to the Dashboard on my mining pool of choice)
  • Test the exchange that is listed, actually compare the numbers yourself and go and make sure it is an 'active' market

Been doing this and it has been giving me about 35% more return than multipools such as waffle / clevermining etc.

Keep up the good work OP!

Btw, any news on an API? Wink

This looks awesome so far, great work!

Hope all the little bugs can be ironed out and this info can be 100% trustworthy soon!

1 issue i've seen is for example, KarmaCoin has profitability of 0.075 BTC/day at my hashrate, which is great, but if you look at MintPal there are actually no buy orders at all.... so I've mined a whole bunch but they won't sell Tongue

Not sure how you'd check against that, though.

edit: Just realized I can filter by volume, so adding > 10 BTC volume avoids this issue. Nice!

Re: WARNING: Potential 51% attack on Litecoin by GHash
by
Hotsauce

Hmm, I just threw some numbers in my brain concerning this..

so 1 LTC in 12h with 2.7MH/s.. Thats 10 LTC in 12h with 27MH/s and 100 LTC in 12h with 270MH/s and 1000 LTC in 12h with 27 GH/s

So if I understand correctly.. They have almost 40 GH/s now.. Thats roughly 1700 LTC in 12h or 3400 in 24h.

They do this promo for six more days which gives:

6 * 3400 LTC = 20.400 LTC

20.400 LTC * 16 $ = 326.400 $

So they spend 326.000 $ AS A PROMO Huh WTF ??!?! Are they cooperating with Coca-Cola or so ??

You need to remember, CEX is the company behind this. They have become massive. $ 326,000 is nothing but advertising/marketing costs to them... there's no way pool operators can compete when companies this large get involved.

Also, in saying that, I highly doubt GHash/CEX will execute a 51% attack on LTC. It would destroy their reputation and they would end up losing millions, Bitcoin commodities are far more profitable in the long run than taking over the LTC network for a brief amount of time...

Agreed, 100% to both questions.

I started on GHash.io last night, so only have 32 hours or so til I can withdraw, once I've done that i'll definitely switch back to waffle.

no hard feelings Terk, but im moving to Scrypt Guild (from the owner of BTCGuild), achieving 0.007 per MH/per day

im achieving way more profits and only 2% 1,52% rejects and my WU is over 3 MH/s while here i could only get 2.7 MH/s

www.scryptguild.com

Where do you see those stats on ScryptGuild?

I also have these cards, have finally got them running stable @ 1.1v ~720Kh/s

Using almost the same settings as in your post, however I found that these cards don't like anything over 1050 GPU engine

My settings:

Code:
--intensity 13 -w 256 -g 2 --lookup-gap 2 --thread-concurrency 8192 --temp-target 78 --auto-fan --gpu-engine 1050 --gpu-memclock 1500

Minning altcoibs I have 15$ day but in clevermine I hace 10$ is normal? Is more profitable mine altcoins vs this?

Mining in Clevermining IS mining Altcoins. There has a been a severe drop in Profitability recently so i'm sure if you'd stuck mining altcoins solo you'd see the same drop.

Now is 0.00599
http://www.clevermining.com/profits/24-hours
I'm a bit scared

Other profit switchers are not doing THIS bad. However, it is the market that is fucking with profitability.

I'm curious as to which ones you think are doing better?

Even the one you promote in your sig is sitting at 0.00597191 Huh

Terk, I reserved a subreddit (/r/clevermining) if you are interested.  Thought it might be an easier way to communicate so everyone could see all your posts & others replies without scrolling through multiple pages.

I'm the mod there, so feel free to message me with quick proof that you are Terk and I will gladly hand over the subreddit to you.

This!

A subreddit is way more organized and will be so much easier to keep track of updates. You could also get a few users that have been loyal since the beta to do the moderating, I'm sure there are a few here that wouldn't mind that at all.

Hi Terk

My latest payout hasn't reflected in my wallet yet (normally it shows within a few minutes, it's now been 35 minutes) and if I check the TX ID on blockchain.info it says "Transaction not found"

https://blockchain.info/tx/35fe42921b6bca647cae4abad7402ddf1d6434ccbd96b68eca5c3156296d8019

Is this normal, do I just need to wait longer for it to be confirmed, or has something gone wrong somewhere along the lines?

Thanks!

I think blockchain.info is out of sync. When you go to their home page https://blockchain.info they show last block known by them as 288773 from 1h 30mins ago. My local wallet shows 288783 blocks, so blockchain.info seems to be 10 blocks behind. Probably something crashed over there and their wallet sync stopped. They usually fix such issues shortly.

The transaction you mentioned was sent and already has 3 confirmations. While blockchain.info has its issues, you can see the transaction on another block explorer: http://blockexplorer.com/tx/35fe42921b6bca647cae4abad7402ddf1d6434ccbd96b68eca5c3156296d8019

Thanks! That was odd, but all sorted now.

Also, EU server is working perfectly for me so far, been 4 hours and I'm at 0.96%, brilliant!

Terk, unexechanged coins for me is consistently equal to or larger than coins ready for payout.  After payouts, I have noticed unexchanged has stayed near 0.01 or higher.

Can you explain how your exchange process works, what frequency we can expect you to make trades and provide payouts?  It was advertised somewhere that this pool pays out more than 1x per day.

*this is asked in a very positive tone I promise*

In the last few days we've been mining a substantial amount of coins which are not available to trade at any exchange offering full trading API so that it could be fully automated. These trades are done manually (which isn't a big deal) and all records about these trades also need to be imported manually (which is a huge pain in the ass and it's why I've been doing it in batches every second day).

I am just finishing a script that would allow for semi-automated import of these manual trades from this exchange so that importing this data would take me a minute, not an hour. I'm testing it on a dev server and will have it running on production within hour. You should expect most of current unexchanged coins to be cleared for payout then. And then there should be no delays in processing manual trades from this exchange.

I decided to work on this before finishing new servers, because I know that high unexchanged balance makes everyone nervous if it remains for too long. Status of new servers is that both EU and Asia are up and running and are mostly configured. But I still need to make changes in my core application to work with multiple regions and put everything from all regions in one bucket, so that everything will work as one pool and you will earn the same BTC/MHs regardless of which server you're using. Plus some health checks and additional error handling for such distributed environment. This will take me probably 5-9 hours. All in all, I expect the servers to be up and running later this night, probably within 8-12 hours. Unexchanged balance should be cleared and paid within couple hours.

How's the script coming along for the manual trades? Sitting at 0.06 unexchanged at the moment... a little higher than i'm used to :S

Looking forward to the EU server as well!

Keep up the good work.

I do apologise if this is a bit off topic.

This is where I got my prices from http://preev.com/btc/gbp

I actually stumbled into the mining scene after seeing how another guy that keeps koi carp as myself heated his pond............Yes I am a crazy Japanese koi fan.

I actually have a 3kw solar system on my roof, but I never feed back into the grid because I use it all and cannot fit any more than 18 solar panels on my south facing roof.

My koi pool heater is electric and 3kw, so when its on that uses all the power that the solar panels kick out when working at 100%

The theory for me is by using water cooling on the gpus and running the heat exchanger in my koi pond return water feed pipes I will be heating the pond for less than I currently am as the mining rig 6 x R9 280x are only using 1950watts. So in theory I will be heating the pond for less power, allowing the solar panels to feed the rest of the house when at 100% and possibly even feed back into the grid. I will not remove my 3kw pond heater as it is on a thermostat, so if the mining rig ever fails there is a back up, as I am currently heating the pond (2340 uk gallons or 10640 litres) to 17c through the British winter and 27c through the summer, either way I have to pay for that as it is my hobby and I get great pleasure from having my koi.

Once the weather warms up I will be retro fitting the mining rig into the filter house and plumbing the gpu cooling system into the pond water. I saw a guy online in the USA that did something similar who was a big time miner and used his swimming pool to remove the heat from his mining rigs.

So hopefully I will be saving on electric, earning some crypto currency at the same time, doing my bit for my carbon footprint, and possibly making a bit of fiat (cash) too.

I just want to get the rig stable before I place it in the filter house and get other peoples opinions on what they do when the price of electric outweighs what they are earning in crypto currency.

I have thought of the best laid plans of mice and men, and the local burglar coming to steal the mining rig from the filter house (shed) but hopefully my cctv system and the 2 Protection trained Presa Canarios (Curto bloodline from Tenerife) should deter anyone from wanting to risk life and limb for the off chance of a few gpu cards or koi carp LOL.

All opinions and insights appreciated.

Thanks,
Axco.

Sounds like you have an awesome setup and a good plan, I know this is off topic but I'd love to see some pics of your Koi's if you wouldn't mind? Wink

Hash Rate: 720 khsec
WU: 681 shares/min
Rejected: 8%
Stale: 0%

8% is about normal on this pool at the moment, go to your stats page and look at the 'Rejected Percentage' chart, in the last hour the pool has gone from 8%-14% and then back down, as long as you're under the pool rejected rate you're golden.
