Yes, it is the PSU from Innosilicon, and everything is connected properly.

I just got the A4+, but I'm having problems connecting to the control page (192.168.1.254). I've changed the IP of my computer, checked that all the cables on the miner were fastened and in place, and ensured that the ethernet cable running from my router was giving an internet connection, but the control page still won't load and the red "fault" button flashes on the miner from time to time. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Re: ETH or LTC long term?
by

ETH for sure. While LTC has been doing well lately, it is basically a faster, cheaper Bitcoin. ETH does something new that LTC does not - however, that also makes ETH more likely to crash at some point if the updates fail. If you are willing to take a bit more risk, ETH is the definite winner.

Not going to happen - as the massive dump showed earlier today  Roll Eyes It definitely has some advantages, but it will not overtake Bitcoin so easily.

Re: Separate myetherwallets for trading and airdrops

If hackers can steal the private key to your airdrop wallet, they can definitely get the private key to your trading wallet. It seems like a good idea in theory to separate them, but in practice, I don't think it would make much of a difference.

If you have to download a wallet for the airdrop, there is the potential it could have malware inside, so always scan it in a sandbox first!

Block explorer and web wallet both seem to be stuck on block 43200. I have some coins in limbo now (sent from exchange, but not showing up)...any idea when they will be updated?

Bitcoin will certainly correct after the fork. Depending on how contentious the fork is, the price could correct a little or a lot. I would guess it crashes down to around 5000-6000, before holding value for a while.

Re: Bitcoin is Becoming a Global Currency

Just given current transaction times and fees, Bitcoin is definitely not a currency that will catch on globally at this time. However, should these issues get figured out with scaling solutions, perhaps in the next few years, more mass adoption will occur.

Stick with the original unless you are sure you can get profit - the rest probably won't be around in six months.

Usually sell them, and then buy them back cheaper after everyone else sells.

The projects that had no purpose and no real value may not recover from this, but I assume the majority of alts will over a period of time, especially those that are well-placed to disrupt things.

Probably a combination of future trading + the B2X fork (free coins if you hold BTC). I assume the price of BTC will fall significantly once the fork hits.

That's too bad. While Nova wasn't the best (hell, it wasn't even a good exchange), I will miss being able to find a huge amount of rare low cap altcoins. Hopefully when they reopen they will continue for this demographic.

Only the terrible coins with no use case are dying - the rest will bounce back soon enough after the 2X fork!

Vitalik is right, the vast majority of ICO's are ridiculously thin on actual tech - eventually people have to start realizing that what they invested in has no value, right?

Re: What's the best ICO you've invested in?
by
Howtrain
on 29/10/2017, 02:04:56 UTC
None as of yet - there haven't been many promising ICO's lately to me that realistically have a shot of being around in a few years. I do think Vezt (buying IP rights to music) seems interesting, but the sale isn't for another few days.
