Re: Node closed itself with no errors

So im syncing a full node of Bitcoin Knots (I don't know where to ask about this so im asking here and hopefully it's ok since it's just a fork) and unless im tripping, it closed itself with no error at all. Where can I find the log that would help trying to find out what happened there?
This kind of problem sometimes occurs when syncing a full node. If you ever see that both Bitcoin Knots or Bitcoin Core sometimes suddenly crash or close on their own, especially during syncing. If you want to find out exactly where the problem is, you need to look at the logs. Sometimes this happens because of problems with the logs. Usually, there are logs like this:
Code:
Linux/Mac: ~/.bitcoin/debug.log
Code:
Windows: C:\Users\<YourUsername>\AppData\Roaming\Bitcoin\debug.log
Since Knots is built on Core, it also keeps logs in the same place. By opening that file, you will understand at which stage it crashed or closed. And you can find the solution to the problem from there.

Bump, nobody dares to give Linux a try?  Cry
Wow, Satofan44 you are genius man bro. You have presented these guidelines with great patience, it will be a great help for others. Here I see that you have to download Bitcoin Core first, then run LND Note and sync.

Let me see, I'm doing a little research on these issues and I will update you soon.

Re: Reasons to use only Discretionary Income for Bitcoin investment.

Investing with your discretionary income allows you to pile up more bitcoin for yourself overtime and hodli till your desired time.
Suppose we can invest the extra income we earn from overtime in Bitcoin assets for the future, instead of just enjoying it for the immediate pleasure. In that case, it will turn into significant savings for us later. We will get good results over time if we invest a little bit regularly. Enjoyment is possible, but building future security is much more critical.

Re: Need some help with setting up a cold storage

I have an old PC but it is  32 bit currently running on windows 7, it's been a while I use it but I felt like just setting up another cold storage on it.
I will be changing the hard drive  to a new one but I'm  not sure which  Linux distro and the self custody wallet that works on x86 Pcs or it doesn't  matter?.
Old PCs are a very secure option if you set them up as cold storage. Since your PC is 32-bit and x86, it would be better to choose a lightweight Linux distro accordingly. I would use Debian with LXDE, or AntiX, both are lightweight and run very well on 32-bit.

Again, regarding wallets, there is a light version of Electrum that still runs well on 32-bit and is perfect for cold storage if kept completely offline. Just install it, write a seed phrase, and leave it without a net connection. You can also check out Armory if you want, a little heavy but great in terms of security. All in all, it is a really good idea to use old PCs in this way. Electronic waste is reduced and secure financial storage is created at the same time.

Why do you rush to invest? For quick profits?
Bro, investing in a hurry to make a profit can be compared to gambling. In fact, those who do not know anything about the market properly are the ones who rush more. The market does not forgive anyone, if you are not patient, let alone make a profit, you do not even have real money in hand. Even after taking great care, many people may lose and if you invest in a hurry here, it does not enter your mind how to make a profit.
