For this week, despite the holidays, the team still did some work to prepare the stage for later.


- Several bugs were fixed, along with a general polishing of the code

- File transfers have been integrated in personal and group chats, due for the next release

- Our in-app customer support system with dedicated agents is in the final stages of testing. This will allow users to quickly solve any issues they might encounter, and will be live on the app with the next release

- The roadmap for 2018 has been further developed and written. It will be published within the next two weeks

For the final update of 2017, we have made several noticeable improvements in usability:

- A completely new design, with animations to designed to make the use of the app simple
- Group chats are now fully released and usable!
- We made several optimizations to the performance of the app, which results in a much more fluid and quick user experience.

Make sure to download the latest update, as you won't be able to use the app otherwise.

Hi guys, bit of an update of what has been done recently and plans for the future:

- Group chats with HMQ transfers within them should be released this week, certainly before the end of the year.
- Our Hybrid Private-public blockchain system will be rolled out on the app in the next two weeks.
- The API will likely be released in the same time period, January at the latest. It will allow our partners and other interested parties to interface with our ecosystem.

We designed our app to be as lightweight as possible specifically to provide services to countries with an underdeveloped internet infrastructure. We are working with several startups to promote integration and onboarding, including those from the Humaniq Challenge initiative, and as we start finalizing everything, we will release more detailed information.

The ICO price was set at 1000 HMQ per 1 ETH, which was worth roughly 50$ at the time. Due to different bonuses, ICO participants will have a different entry price. With a 5.9 million initial marketcap, the average ICO token price was 5 cents, or 3600 sats at the time, roughly speaking. Anyway, here is the development update for this week:

The latest release included some UX changes that we developed in consideration of user feedback and analytics.

1: A new onboarding and registration process with animations was developed and introduced in the app.
2: We switched to a swipe pin system. A notification was sent out to all users to set the new password.
3: Along with that, we introduced several invisible changes in preparation of the release of group chats on the main app, indicatively due for next week.

We have established a partnership with Coinfirm, a Regtech startup that will help us with providing better security and compliance for our user's transactions.

Development update for last week:

Since the middle of November we initiated customer development process. We're testing the implementation and viability of various use cases and services.

This week we launched a paid in-app survey for our users in Tanzania to learn more about their habits and tendencies. Along with that, the update also introduced several bug fixes.

Group chats are getting ready to be released in the app in a few days.

The list of the first 5 countries are Uganda, Zimbabwe, Rwanda, Senegal, and Tanzania.

The last few days Humaniq Global Challenge team have been traveling through the villages of Kitui suburb and talked a lot to the local people. The majority of them are domestic and farm workers. On average, they make $1 per week only when, for example, a bus ticket to the town costs $2. They manage to survive in these condition by helping each other: for instance, if a family has no food, their neighbors help them to subsist. In exchange for that, when the time comes, they repay their neighbors by helping with a harvest. Most people from the village we were visiting didn’t have a mobile phone. When answering questions how would they use it if they have it, they told that, above all, they would use a mobile phone for a job search, salary receipt and being in touch with farmers around the country for experience exchange. An inconvenience of getting paid in cash turned out to be based on a gender issue: while men make money, women are occupied in raising children and in maintaining the household; if the money remains in the men’s hands, they are most likely to be spent on anything but the family needs.

Please keep in mind that the Humaniq App will have a built in exchange and will be partnering with local money operators in Africa for fiat transactions.
