Re: Will banks ever offer bitcoin deposits?

Who knows   Roll Eyes  we should expect anything when it comes to bitcoin.  It possible to happen since almost everywhere is about bitcoin.  Banks can adorbt it since its a means of investment.  But this may take some years to this time.

It will definitely happen in the future when countries adopt crypto as a legit way of payment but we're a long way from that.

You're just too young to think about that. When you're mature enough it'll come to you. I'm not saying anything bad here, for every person it's different. Some people change their opinion and get married at 30-40 or 50yrs. The main thing here is to find your own path and somebody will come along to share it. On the other hand if you still haven't changed your opinion in a couple of years then it's OK. Ultimately everything is achievable and it's all your choice. Don't think negatively on something you haven't experienced yet.

Now btc acceptance I think for now is being done all over the world now. We are all waiting for a time that people will totally accept btc and when this happens the banks cant resist it and will by all means accept the deposits of btc. It is just a matter of time.

It's not a matter of how many people use BTC but it's unpredictability.

We all know how risky bitcoin is. Let's imagine the most riskiest money deposit situation.
What do you think guys, will this moment ever come and banks decide to offer us Bitcoin deposits (e.g. fixed profit on 1 year deposit and etc).
This can be very, very profitable for banks if they make correct decisions.
P.S I don't mean freebitco.in's offer of holds on their wallet. I mean if official banks ever offer us this service.

I think In the coming future It will happen. Because It is the future technology.
I don't think that I will agree with you, because Bitcoin is a decentralized crypto currency and no one controls it either a central bank or a government behind it and its nature is very volatile that anything can happen anytime, Bitcoin's price could fly high or fall into a pit in a very short period of time and this kind of nature is very risky for those banks. Even in the future, I don't think that it would actually happen that banks will be accepting crypto currencies or maybe if there will come a centralized crypto currency in the future they might hop into it. But for now, it looks extremely impossible to happen.  Cool

Banks won't accept dealing with crypto at this time because it's too volatile and unpredictable and that's just not good for business as far as the banks are concerned. BUt in the future when everything gets regulated and crypto stabilizes, banks will certainly do something to get their piece of the cake.

It is useless decision, people can have their own bank aka wallet and they don't need to save bitcoin in bank.

It's not the same. The bank will keep your coins safe and secure and you'll have some kind of insurance. Paper wallets, hard wallets, digital wallets can be stolen or hacked but if it's in some bank then you don't care because that's the banks problem not yours.

There are possibilities of growing market of cryptocurrencies and soon some banks will also offers a variety of bank insurance including depositing a number of bitcoins.

Well maybe you're right, I can see some banks offering to hold your coins for you for a certain fee or to invest it for you for an interest or something.

I see that people support that altcoin suits better for day trading, and not for holding. I just don't get why.

in my opinion, trading as well as holding altcoins, it does not matter, since altcoins price will change every day, I think holding altcoins for long periods will be better

Trading with alts can make you bigger profits than trading with BTC because the price range of ups and downs on alts is much bigger. Some alts could go several times up or down but BTC needs much more time to do it. So BTC is best for holding and alts are best for trading. But you can also make money off trading BTC if you do it at a right time.

is it possible that if my country's government still prohibits bitcoin to make transactions directly because bitcoin has not been inaugurated as the currency that applies in my country

Of course. There is no way that they can completely prevent you from doing crypto transactions. The only thing you need is a pc and internet connection and viola. I mean they can make it harder with banning exchanges and services so you can't make withdrawals from ATMs but all that is manageable. You just go to a neighbor country, withdraw money and take it home.

One of the rules for most banks is not to operate in speculative or unregulated business ventures, until bit coin and crypto currencies fall under some forms of regulation banks will generally avoid or limit their participation  in it.

That's true, they invest in stable markets where they can make lots of money. Crypto is to unpredictable.

I believe that we should wait until the market stabilizes to start investing in promising coins.

What is the point in doing that? Shouldn't we buy now when everything is down and sell when it stabilizes?

Nothing you can do about it to be honest, have to just hold and hope that you bought at the right time.

You can do many things but the smartest one is definitely just holding. But now the BTC is rising so soon we'll see the results of our patience.

Hopefully sooner the bank accept bitcoins, for now all i know that the banks allowed bitcoin as online payment.

The sooner they do it the sooner the BTC price will skyrocket.

You are saying correctly, you should not leave the industry crypto-currency due to several failures. Everyone should understand that investing is a risky business, and investing in a crypto currency is a risky business in a double. However, by investing in crypto currency you can increase your capital at least twice.

Why just twice? With right investments you can become rich. That's why it's so interesting.

I think banks will not offer bitcoin deposit. Because banks will not enter such risky transaction like bitcoin. But i don't take away the posibilities that in the future maybe it will happen.

Why not? The greater the risk the greater the profit and banks love profit. They will find a way to lower their risk but to keep the profit.

It's a good idea to start scaling into quality altcoins and buy the blood. There are some risks, of course, that bear market will last longer.

Buy now or regret it later. That's my opinion. Alts are cheap and if you don't buy them now then when?
