Sorry, those charts don't mean squat when the value constantly declining.
I'm not saying start hyping this coin, but advertise more to get more exposure.
That is what this coin is lacking. The community can only do so much. The development team has the funds
for more advertising spend it. Still waiting for our silver and gold coin for original stake holders, they don't want to deal with it. Then spend it on f#*#@ advertising. This team has ignored the community when being asked to spend more on advertising, buy some youtube ads etc.. Why would investors keep hanging on to this coin when you're constantly seeing crap coins get ahead of this far more advanced coin, because they're doing advertising (call it hype whatever) at least they're doing what's right to get the name out. Take note XEM ranked #18 under VeChain lol. Yes I'm bitter about this as you can tell. You just have to see it from my point of view, im not hating, just saying. cheers.

So in my last posts I was highly critical of nem and the lack of exposure/interest.
Is anyone else not concerned?

Nem Reddit sub is dead
Nem Bitcoin talk is dead save for a few regular posters
Nem official forms are even worse than the 2 above as far as being dead.

The meetups are good I guess. But I don't see how you're going to grow a huge user base 15-20 people at a time in random cities.

Just a list of concerns that really bother me about this coin. I want it to succeed and do well, but I'm frustrated by the lack of forward thinking and exposure.
I've held a large amount of coins for 3 years. I expect things to get better not worse. Instead of fading into obscurity I'd like to see relevance. Hype, hope, excitement.. something as opposed to the nothing we have currently. People are indifferent about this coin.. and that needs to change. If I had all the answers I'd post them. But I don't. At the end of the day it's the foundation's responsibility to ensure this coin succeeds. I hope they can do it.

It's interesting reading about the perception that NEM is kind of aimlessly drifting along, despite the numerous headlines posted to the Telegram news channel and the many videos that come out about NEM's various features almost weekly, some of which are official marketing channels. I wonder if what's lacking is something that ties it all together? Possibly redundant messaging?

I definitely see both sides. The marketing is definitely there... and yet, the feeling that it's not there is very real too. And the price seems to be stuck at 25 cents now no matter what Bitcoin does, which is also interesting.

Still waiting on Catapult on the public blockchain though, but devs are doing their best!

Despite its virtues it's always been treated like a pure pump and dump coin. That became clear when it started to get noticed and it hasn't changed. I lost plenty dicking around in earlier days with it. Now I buy in dead periods and occasionally offload in mad ones.

Mad phases will be back. They'll be back for everything no matter how good or bad they are.

Wait for the next pump. Nem will be there unlike plenty of other coins.

I truly believe in this coin and honestly think it's one of the best out there. But I don't think the vast majority agree with that statement. Nobody seems to give a shit about it, and that concerns me.

I used to think that catapult would "catapult" nem onto the main stage and in the spotlight. But I wonder if catapult mainnet will even move the needle. With the way things are going I think not. If a superior solution exists and nobody cares about it, is it really superior?

I understand the whole market is down and that plays a factor, but a bigger problem is the coin itself and lack of marketing and awareness. Although on the plus side, Last time we had a big lull like this we came storming out of nowhere to reach $2.
This pathetic lack of volume compared to the rest of the to 15 is really concerning to me. Am I the only one who feels this way?

I agree the 'ninja' shit stopped being an appealing idea a long, long time ago and it was not a clever move in the first place but it's also over now and efforts are being made. It doesn't need empty hype either. A little justified hype would certainly not have gone amiss.

Right now a lot of seeds are being planted with NEM. If they don't lead anywhere its days as a top ish coin could well be over for the foreseeable future, but it will be chugging away long after almost everything else that's around now is dust.

Hey folks. It's been a long time since I posted. - My account, leoinker, has been compromised, and I get no response from admins in resolving the issue.
I managed to lock the account, but that is it. I did use a very long and secure password, I operate on a secure network, and don't use weak OS, like Windows.

Nearly all my online accounts have been being spammed with failed login attempts. The only one that was successfully hacked is this one on bitcointalk. I believe the security here must be weak. I really wish they would enable 2FA.

I hope you will all vote YES. myCoinvest is one of the first USA-based NEM projects, and has a goal to bring mass adoption of NEM to the United States. The USA is our weakest area of NEM adoption, and we intend to change that.

Could I just get a final clarification on XPX (ProximaX) being run on top of the current NEM blockchain?  Is XPX just a mosaic on the NEM public blockchain, or is ProximaX running indepentently on another public blockchain (inspired by NEM tech)?     I'm looking at adding to my investment in NEM(XEM), but need clarification on the PromimaX position.  I read the whitepaper.

These boys here crying for the moon literally understand nothing. NEM was one of the first coins to surge after the crypto market correction. It surged so much in such a short amount of time that it got overbought and the surge stopped. Now, it is taking a breather. After some longer period of breathing, NEM will surge again. The problem with these moonboys is that they really expect a coin to go up 10.000 % in 2 days and have 0 patience. 

maybe they just don't care about P&D and try to focus on the important stuff. It is easy to say that there is no marketing, but just because its not marketing to attract the end user directly doesn't mean there is none. They are targeting the companies and projects directly

Looking back, all I can say is I am really glad I invested in NEM rather than Steem which was built by the guy behind EOS
