So what coins / ICOs did you invest in ? Did you do a SAFT or just buy?

Sent a few ETH into Quantum1Net to begin with. Their team is definitely a cut above the rest. Might be more heading their way but I'm also looking at a few other ICOs, it's always good to spread your risks.

If you are juggling that kind of cash, I would insist on two things:

- Background checks. Check the backgrounds of the team to heaven and back. Not just to check for scammers, but also to check for teams with good intentions but insufficient skills.
- Ask how the project expects to make money. You can't just hope for the price of the token to rise on the exchanges because of hype. Does the project have associated value with the tokens, like a product or service? If it does, can the project justify the use of cryptocurrency to access its product or service?

With respect to the background, don't just check Linkedin. Check Crunchbase, gust, angel.co to see if the leaders have had success in the past with startups and such. Dig deep. If they have listed companies they founded, make sure they companies exist.

These are a given, yes. It seems that quite a lot of these ICOs are run by tech guys with next to no business experience or any successful ventures to their name. Having spent a few years as an assistant researcher or software developer doesn't give you the skill set needed to make a successful enterprise.
What I look for is guys who has show themselves capable before.

I appreciate those of you who came forward with advice and ideas, even if you are promoting your own particular project.
The ICO markets might have had some bad actors but truth be told, I've had my fair share of those doing regular investments too. That's why I ask for Linkedin and such, I can quite easily weed out scams.
To decry all ICOs out of hand is just stupid IMO.

Do you guys seriously think I would reveal personal details about my fiscal status and previous investments on an internet forum??
I mean, come on! I ask for some ideas on how to invest in a to me new field and you demand that I qualify my previous investments to you?

You are doing it the wrong way.

Wait 10 minutes, you will offered with many good, bad, great, worst, neutral projects which will confuse you more Cheesy
^^^

I have $25,000 and I won't ask someone on what are the ICOs that I can invest this amount of money instead I'll buy bitcoin and hold it for few months if I want to take early profits.

I already have a fair amount in bitcoin. I don't like to put all the eggs in one basket and ICOs have a better potential to grow given that you do your homework and aren't an idiot. Hence this thread, I aim to branch out.

Well if you are in the US trying to dodge it, especially with $25k you might run into troubles. If you're looking to 10x it, then be ready to lose the $25k as it is going to be tough.
I know what I'm doing, believe me.
A return of 10x would be nice but unfeasible to hope for. Doubling or tripling my investment is not impossible to achieve by backing the right ICO.
I don't think bitcoin will be hitting $20.000 anytime soon and I don't intend to spend my time day trading. As such, ICOs it is.

Why not try investing in https://yumerium.com because the project has the potential of performing greatly in the crypto market. This is one the best ICOs in the crypto world of business.

scam project, I would stay away from every single ICO, nothing but scams now.

Haven't had the chance to look through their linkedins yet, are there any obvious red flags?

I would just invest in a "blue chip" like bitcoin or ethereum. Many ICO's are just going to turn out to be scams and until we can pass some of this legislation its going to be like throwing darts in the dark.
I doubt bitcoin or Ethereum will show the same exponential growth that it did a few months ago. They've had their run. A new fresh ICO that is legit is in my mind the best bet for a god return of investment, before the market is regulated to death. The regulations are what makes me look for low KYC in the first place. The SEC rulings dealt immense damage to the ICO investment opportunities for us in the US.

Don't trust anyone in crypto. They can advice you a lot of ICOs but you should always do your own investigation before investing. At least check ICO team in linkedin, ICO reviews, ratings, social media activity, especially telegram. And invest only if you 100% sure that the project will give you good profit.
Obviously I won't give a dime to a team who has not complete Linkedin pages and a history of business behind them.
What I want is some ideas, there are several hundred of ICOs on here, it would take too much of my time to sift through them all.
So, anyone got any ICOs that can be looked up on Linkedin?
