What is IDLEChain?
IDLEChain emerges from the vision to create a blockchain compatible with MetaMask, fostering the development of a web3-based idle browser game along with tokens and NFTs by our development team. However, the project has evolved in response to the growing need for layer2 solutions in many cryptocurrencies. Thus, IDLEChain is not merely a testing chain but a fully functional blockchain incorporating both classic and layer2 functionalities.

Is IDLEChain merely a testnet?
No, IDLEChain serves as a demonstration of the aforementioned potential while functioning as a fully equipped blockchain with classic chain features and a layer2 for executing web3 developments.

Why a Monero fork?
Our primary focus is to showcase layer2 capabilities. While the choice of base code for layer1 was flexible, we opted for a Monero-based implementation to provide insights for projects relying on CryptoNight. Additionally, Monero's privacy features benefit all users outside the layer2. Moreover, allowing CPU and GPU mining aligns with our inclusivity goals.

Are there mining pools?
The IDLEChain team will not operate any mining pools, believing that a cryptocurrency thrives on community engagement. Hence, we encourage pool operators to participate. For those familiar with Mangonote (https://mangonote.org) pools, setting up for IDLEChain will be nearly identical.

When will IDLEChain launch?
Mining will commence concurrently with this post's publication. Subsequently, the next 24 hours will be dedicated to developing the website, block explorer, and Discord community. This gradual approach allows for wider token distribution before transitioning to layer2.

Why not resurrect a dead cryptocurrency for layer2 integration?
Initially considering this route, we realized it would benefit previous developers more than the community, especially considering potential economic gains from untouched wallets. Thus, we opted for a fresh start.

What are the layer1 specifications?
IDLEChain mirrors Mangonote's block rewards and other parameters, excluding Notary Rewards, which are redistributed to miners. There is no premine. Additionally, upon the layer2 blockchain launch, all miners will receive LTWO tokens based on their mining performance.
