I downloaded the wallet. Looks good!  Cool
I got my tokens: very easy.  Grin

I'm happy. Only thing I can complain is the very poor way Peerplays is handling communication.
The website is not updated, press coverage is not existent, etc. This *MUST* be improved in the short term.

However the network is running and the code works, and I guess that's the most important thing.

Re: [ANN][ZEN] ZENCASH: Permanent, Distributed, and Fully Anonymous cryptocurrency

I've just discovered this coin and read a bit the recent posts.
It looks like the situation is/was a bit problematic.
Yet I see the price of ZEN at 1ZEN = 0.0055 BTC in

https://tradesatoshi.com/Exchange?market=ZEN_BTC

So about 1ZEN = 13$ ?!?!
This makes already a market cap of >13M$ which seems very high indeed.

Am I missing something? While is the price so high?

Let's face it. This project is almost surely a scam.

They raised >1M$ and cannot afford to pay somebody for communications on Reddit, Forums, Slack, Website and stuff?
"But we have our crappy Telegram chat, join us there" --> Screw that!

Yes, we are not "investors", we just made "donations"... LOL

Question (see also: https://www.reddit.com/r/Peerplays/comments/69ont1/crowdfunding/)

Today 9th May (4 days to go to the end of the Tier) we are only at 65.83% of the first tier.
If this ICO is honest, I think it is safe to assume that it will almost surely not reach the desired 5mil$.

So, what happens exactly if not all tiers are completed?  Huh

Possibility 1: Out of the 950.000 tokens distributed in this ICO, those that are not bought are burned.

Possibility 2: All 950.000 tokes are distributed anyway to those who participated to the ICO
(effectively reducing the price of 5$/token).
For example, if only the first tier is completed (5$/token for a total of 200.000 tokes), then all 950.000 tokes
are distributed to those who participated (proportionally), basically giving away the 950.000 tokes at about 1.25%.

I tried to have a look at http://www.peerplays.com/docs/Peerplays_Bulletin-Feb_2017.pdf
But doesn't seem to consider the possibility of not reaching the goal of 5mil$.

Please answer.

I like the project, but this ICO is very poorly advertized and promoted on the web.
I'd like also to mention that:
1) the reddit page is almost dead.
2) the webchat "https://peerplays.chat/" does not allow me to register ('wrong domain' error?)
3) this thread had very few questions and activity.

this seems a bit suspicious assuming that Peerplays aims at promoting a new gambling platform (and has already
accumulated significant money from previous pre-ICOs).

Please provide some explanations, I'm very interested and I'm still considering investing on this project.

Re: [ANN][POOL] Mining Pool Hub - Multipool. Multialgo, Auto Exchange to any coin.

I did this more or less as an experiment Smiley

The idea of preferring slow speeds is that you contribute to with a small % (say 1%) to each block
worded by your mining pool. If your MiningPool wins that block, you get your 1% of the reward associated
with that block. Otherwise my computational power is lost.

So, if your mining Pool wins say 10blocks/day, after 1 day of work statistically you get (10*Reward_of_each_block)* (1%).

The problem, instead, of renting a lot of computational power for a short time is that I might
contribute 50% just for a couple of blocks, and if those blocks don't win, I'm screwed.
(If the win, instead, I can get much more reward).

Is what I wrote above correct? Sorry I'm a total noob with mining! Smiley

Another specific question: what are the 'Round Shares' ? Are they collected over multiple blocks, or reset to zero after each block (won or lost)?

Hello everybody,

I discovered the service https://www.nicehash.com/

They rent computational power. I would like to use it with miningpoolhub.com.

I've tried and started it and invested 0.05BTC on mining Monero, without putting any limit (in GH/sec)

I didn't see the point of putting a limit, in fact the quicker the better?!? But I guess I missed something...

Indeed miningpoolhub.com only gave me 1.27 XMR in return, while 0.05BTC is worth more than twice than that.

What did I do wrong? What's the problem?
Any suggestion about using  https://www.nicehash.com/ in combination with miningpoolhub.com?

Thanks a lot in advance for any answer! Smiley

Transaction not confirmed: what to do?
by

Hello everybody  Smiley

yesterday I made a transaction using my Electrum wallet:

https://blockchain.info/tx/66cca8934cc94cfb86bed7fd44cefddaefac4e0d64b1db75f157248943124e72

I did pay about 100satoshi/byte (the maximal fee suggested by Electrum) and yet the transaction has not been confirmed after more than 24h!

How is this possible? Huh Is it really a matter of fees or there might be other problems? If the fee is not enough, why does Electrum suggest only fees that are not sufficient for having quick transactions?

How long does it take, typically, for the transaction to get removed from the network (i.e., for getting the money back?)
If it is more than 24-36h I might have to find other solutions.

I read that one can attempt a double spend by reinstalling Electrum and restoring from seed... But I'd like to avoid such 'hacks' if possible.
Also because I'm not sure I can set up fees higher than the maximum (100Sat/Byte) in Electrum...

Any suggestions?

thanks
