Re: Trade or HODL?
by

Hi guys, I have a couple of alts in my wallet right now and I want to gain profit.

I want to earn a profit while waiting for a better market value. Should I enter trading(where I don't have an idea on how to and where to start) or should I stick on HODLing my coins?

Looking at the market movement, is it a good time to start trading?

Is it risky or not an ideal move if I start to study trading using some of my holdings/alts?

I am eager to learn how to do trading(short-term or day-trading).

Any thoughts? TIA
Holding would be the best strategy for you since according to you, you don't have any idea about trading. Holding will not give you quick profit, but in time, it can actually provide you a great profit. Just hold your coins now, and think positive that the market will soon recover and the price would rise up again.

Re: Is cryptocurrency so difficult to understand

I engaged with young people and layman people in my communities on the quest of exposing them to cryptocurrency. During the period I discovered that they find It so difficult to understand the concepts, they are so much acquainted with fiat currency and traditional ways of making payment transactions.
I will be impress If I can get a valuable ways and methods in making them understand what cryptocurrency is all about and engage them actively.
Anything we are not familiar with and we're not used to be with is really difficult to understand at first. But we should always take time and be willing to learn what Crypto is all about. Reading news and articles and researchimg would be useful.

Re: Panic of traders
by

Every day I see more and more people starting to feel hopeless with the current market situation because of uncertainty when prices will recover and end this fall. Even more and more traders are deciding to resign from trading and sell all of their assets but that makes the price even more falling.
I think one the reasons why traders and investors panic is because of the number of negative news about crypto as well as the volatility of coins. One thing we have to learn is not let negative news and emotions control the situations. Let's be patient and think positive that the market will soon recover.

Trading requires a lot of knowledge and skills in order to be successful. Basic thing you have to know is to study and understand what coin is growing and what's the best to invest with. You also have to embrace volatility. Investing in crypto is risky but also mean that the potential for profit is good too. It is sensible to always check the volatility of the exchange you're growing with. And lastly, you have to understand the blockchain technology to help you predict the future movements to avoid loses.

Re: DO YOU BUY WHEN THE PRICE DROPS SHARPLY ?
by
Iandi anne
on 05/10/2018, 14:48:16 UTC
Good day, mates.

My strategy is to buy coins when the price drops sharply.

Sometimes I fail, because the price drops more than I expected.

But, to prevent this worse situation, I put 30% of my budget at the time of initial investment.
If the price getting down again, I put 30% more.

With this strategy, I am getting some money so far.

In conclusion, I recommend you guys to buy coins when they drops rapidly.
After sharp drop, there should be sharp rising.  Cool
That's why you have to study and understand the market before investing with it. But yeah, I guess that strategy is quiet effective. The best tims to buy coins is when the price is drippimg down and sell when it reaches your target price. It takes a long tome but it is an effective way to make good profit.

Re: What you should do when you lose most of money?

One of the reasons why investors/traders loses money is because they fail to practice the proper risk management. I guess, it is better to study about the market you're investing with and make sure to only invest what you can afford to lose. If you fail, make it as a lesson and inspiration and try to recover. Just try again and move on.

Re: Still HODL?
by
Iandi anne
on 04/10/2018, 22:25:05 UTC
Right now is a tough time for anybody holding tokens. The HODL strategies put into effect a mere 3 months ago have cost portfolios a huge % loss in value...
I myself have witnessed thousands upon thousands in value destruction. Hrmmm, but what to do now?

Although I have watched, slowly and painfully, tokens descend in value equivalent to a brand new Cadillac down to a value where I cant even sell them for a used 1980s Ford where the bumper falls off...

Instead, I opted to HODL… But the question remains...
Should one effectively Sell-Out and take that broke down ford valuation now?
OR.
Does one still HODL and dream of Lambos full of Women and cocaine?

HODL is for long-term investment and for the people who firmly believes that the price of coins will get higher in the future. I, myself, will continue holding my coins until the price reach my target. Let's think positive and be patient.

I bought bitcoin when it was around $14,500 in January and I am still holding because I am not discouraged.  I have great hope that bitcoin is going to increase in price and volume in some years to come.
Yes, that's right! Keep holding your coins until the price reaches your target. Do not let your emotions control the situation to avoid loses. Be patient and think poaitive.

do you have suggestions , how to avoid mistakes in trading and take less risk ?
and what need to learn for be a good trader ?
Only invest what you can afford to lose. In trading, you have to have the skills and knowledge in order to have good profit. You also have to be familiarize and have the basic knowldege about the technology to help you predict the future price movement. It's also important to always check the volatility of the coin you have chosen for trading. Remember that trading takes high risk but also means that the potential for profit is good too.

What is your recommendation for Crypto trading,  Day trading or HODL
Experience in crypto trading big loser or winner
I think it would depend on your knowledge and experience. If you are an expert in day trading, that would definitely give you optimal profit but if not, you can do HODL 'cause for me it is safer and may also give you good profit.

https://www.livebitcoinnews.com/4-in-10-americans-will-never-invest-in-bitcoin-says-latest-crypto-study/

I've known some few friends who are into forex and stock investments. When they've learned that I engage myself into crypto trading and investments they discouraged me due to bitcoin's price volatility and unpredictable fluctuations. All I can say to them is that I only invest an amount that I can surely afford to lose and taking huge risks will definitely compensate you good returns as well. I bumped into this article saying that 4 in 10 Americans will never invest in bitcoin, which is somewhat realistic but still history can really tell that bitcoin has changed lots of millennials who took the risk and profited when bitcoin value skyrocketed to almost $20k last year.

So with this article it shows that there is still high percentage of Americans that is willing to take risks to invest in bitcoin just to make some good profit in the near future. What are your thoughts regarding this one? Share me your thoughts.
Yes, I agree with that. In investment, the higher the risk, the higher the chances of having good returns. But we should always remember to only invest what we can afford to lose.

Re: Why are you selling your altcoins so soon?
by
Iandi anne
on 11/09/2018, 22:50:50 UTC
I here and see that a lot of people are selling their altcoins for this reason or for that reason. In some cases I here that people are even spending their altcoins to buy Bitcoin. Now that one really has me confused. To me it's way to early to be selling your altcoins. It's like selling an original painting before it even gains in value or while it is still gaining in value. What smart investor does that unless they are selling out of fear or because they are desperate. For me I am holding all of my coins for now because it is way to early to even think about selling your altcoins; what say you?

So tell me, why are you selling your altscoins so soon?
Most of the people are afraid because of the last crash wherein the prices of crypto falls. They tend to sell their coins because of panic.

You should only invest what you can afford to lose. Cryto is about taking risk. Better to study and research first about it and how the market moves.

Do not panic. Hold and wait for the price to go up to avoid loses. The makret will never stay like this. In timw, it will recover and the price would rise again. Be patient and think positive.

Yes, in time the market will recover and the bitcoin will reach its stability again. The dropping of its prices today is technically natural. Nothing to worry about. Be patient and be positive.
