Hi guys, I have a couple of alts in my wallet right now and I want to gain profit.
I want to earn a profit while waiting for a better market value. Should I enter trading(where I don't have an idea on how to and where to start) or should I stick on HODLing my coins?
Looking at the market movement, is it a good time to start trading?
Is it risky or not an ideal move if I start to study trading using some of my holdings/alts?
I am eager to learn how to do trading(short-term or day-trading).
Any thoughts? TIA
Holding would be the best strategy for you since according to you, you don't have any idea about trading. Holding will not give you quick profit, but in time, it can actually provide you a great profit. Just hold your coins now, and think positive that the market will soon recover and the price would rise up again. I want to earn a profit while waiting for a better market value. That would be holding for a longer period of time. I believe that the market will soon recover and the price would rise up again. Let us not lose our hope and think positive that it will be better. I engaged with young people and layman people in my communities on the quest of exposing them to cryptocurrency. During the period I discovered that they find It so difficult to understand the concepts, they are so much acquainted with fiat currency and traditional ways of making payment transactions.
I will be impress If I can get a valuable ways and methods in making them understand what cryptocurrency is all about and engage them actively.

I think that is possible and it already started. In fact, some of the hopitals in US and other country are now accepting BTC as payment.Every day I see more and more people starting to feel hopeless with the current market situation because of uncertainty when prices will recover and end this fall. Even more and more traders are deciding to resign from trading and sell all of their assets but that makes the price even more falling.
I think one the reasons why traders and investors panic is because of the number of negative news about crypto as well as the volatility of coins. One thing we have to learn is not let negative news and emotions control the situations. My strategy is to buy coins when the price drops sharply.
Sometimes I fail, because the price drops more than I expected.
But, to prevent this worse situation, I put 30% of my budget at the time of initial investment.
If the price getting down again, I put 30% more.
With this strategy, I am getting some money so far.
In conclusion, I recommend you guys to buy coins when they drops rapidly.
After sharp drop, there should be sharp rising.
That's why you have to study and understand the market before investing with it. But yeah, I guess that strategy is quiet effective. The best tims to buy coins is when the price is drippimg down and sell when it reaches your target price. One of the reasons why investors/traders loses money is because they fail to practice the proper risk management. I guess, it is better to study about the market you're investing with and make sure to only invest what you can afford to lose. If you fail, make it as a lesson and inspiration and try to recover. Just try again and move on.

I bought bitcoin when it was around $14,500 in January and I am still holding because I am not discouraged. I have great hope that bitcoin is going to increase in price and volume in some years to come.

You also have to be familiarize and have the basic knowldege about the technology to help you predict the future price movement. I've known some few friends who are into forex and stock investments. When they've learned that I engage myself into crypto trading and investments they discouraged me due to bitcoin's price volatility and unpredictable fluctuations. All I can say to them is that I only invest an amount that I can surely afford to lose and taking huge risks will definitely compensate you good returns as well. I bumped into this article saying that 4 in 10 Americans will never invest in bitcoin, which is somewhat realistic but still history can really tell that bitcoin has changed lots of millennials who took the risk and profited when bitcoin value skyrocketed to almost $20k last year.

I here and see that a lot of people are selling their altcoins for this reason or for that reason. In some cases I here that people are even spending their altcoins to buy Bitcoin. Now that one really has me confused. To me it's way to early to be selling your altcoins. It's like selling an original painting before it even gains in value or while it is still gaining in value. What smart investor does that unless they are selling out of fear or because they are desperate. For me I am holding all of my coins for now because it is way to early to even think about selling your altcoins; what say you?
