Dan reviewing other coin's code is the best marketing strategy XC could have.

All of the other coin's investor's see their coin's code was reviewed by a guy named Dan, and so they look him up...

This leads them to XC... and because they are already invested in a coin that Dan is reviewing they are more likely to invest in XC.

This is a VERY high yield marketing strategy, and money cannot buy better leads than this.

When a falling knife forms as the price drops its usually a bad sign..

However, I have noticed that when a falling knife forms and the price holds (as it has for a bit)... it means a minor pump is coming..

We shall see.

Re: [ANN] Whale Watchers trading group

i like the name of the group alot

problems with that is always - if you can gain enogh trust from people to believe you know what u are doing

u will have to do alot of public trades for this

I have been in Whale Watchers for a couple weeks now, and knightlife999 has definitely gained my trust!

He spends a lot of time putting out alt coin picks (with analysis) twice a week for the group. He gives safe entry and exit points for each coin. He also passes on his many years of experience in the Forex markets to younger traders like myself. I have noticed his technical analysis tends to hold up well with the larger market cap coins.

The group is also full of people with different backgrounds and skill sets. Naturally, group chat leads to interesting perspectives//ideas.

I think the group is well worth the cost. Any crypto trader that is not already in a group should definitely consider joining Whale Watchers.

What exactly is PoSA? i'm trying to understand that, its some kind of confirmation anonimity for transactions?

PoSa is the acronym for "Piece of shit anon"

I get just as excited for a YourMother post as I do for a new episode of Game of Thrones!

Dammit vidarh, you're blowing my plan!  I was hoping I could bullshit someone into thinking they got the most fantastic deal ever, while making a fair 470,000 satoshi per coin profit for myself.

Some of my schemes would work better if the other people involved were dumber.

Oh well, it was worth a try!   Grin

No. It wasn't.

51% Speculation
by
IceJelly
on 13/06/2014, 19:12:57 UTC
Hi guys, still rather new, but thought I would share a few paranoid observations I had. Please share your 51% speculation/paranoia as well!!

1) Ghash.io 51% will slow corporate acceptance of Bitcoin. Executives/board members of large public companies (who do not understand the Bitcoin network that well) usually are very risk adverse, and it will be harder to convince them to accept Bitcoin as a payment method if there is even a possibility of a 51% attack. I know it is never in Ghash.io's best interest to act maliciously, but they won't see it that way. I also understand Bitcoin is a world currency, so it doesn't need adaption by large companies to hit the moon... but the trickle down effect from these companies would take us to Mars.

2) China nets billions and billions and billions of dollars each year in net exports, from intentionally depreciating their currency. The power to do this is EXTREMELY valuable to them. I'm not saying Bitcoin would ever grow large enough to threaten this in the near future... but if more and more Chinese people continue to use Bitcoin against their government's wishes... the government may see it as a threat to a system that generates enormous wealth for the country. It would be in China's best interest to invest in a massive 51% mining farm to either kill Bitcoin or salvage it into Chinacoin. This action would deter Chinese people from investing in future cryptos.

Altcoins wallet.dat file
by

Hi guys. Still rather new to Cryptocurrencies.

I recently downloaded a few different alt coins, and I was wondering where the wallet data (wallet.dat) for these coins are stored.

I want to keep all my data on an external hard drive, so I want to know if these coins installed the data files to another directory.

I am on Windows 7.

Thanks for the help guys.

GPU Mining for New Alt Currencies
by
IceJelly
on 19/04/2014, 01:28:02 UTC
Hi.

Im new to mining and looking to invest about $1000 in a mining rig.

I have been closely monitoring alt currencies since the new year, and I must say... they get more and more thrilling each day  Grin

Basically, I want to have a miner that I can use to mine the new pump and dump currencies. After the initial $1000 investment, it would just be me making bets on what currencies I think have a chance of jack potting, and then using my rig to mine them.

I know each alt currency has its own hash algorithm… so I was wondering if investing in a gpu miner would be the best way to go for my plan.

I am also considering buying contracts to use corporate miners for small periods of time

Thanks in advance for the input/help.
