IN cryptocurrency no one could tell anything for sure. But if you are looking for X10 or something, BTC and XRP are not your options for a short and mid term investments.

Well, I do not think that it's a smart idea to keep bitcoins for so long! New cryptocurrencies are becoming stronger and stronger, I really doubt that it's a safe long term investment. There is a bright future for cryptocurrencies and it's a good idea to be involved, but you must control your investment on a daily basis. Even thou that bitcoin cost a fortune now, it has never been as weak a today (talking about the market cap).

Yes I do. Yes it's not growing as fast as some other coing recently, but I think it has a strong potential in the future. Other coins grow mostly because of wales pumping them. ETH will grow because it's a usefull coin that has a lot of chances to be adopted by big businesses in the neares future.

Re: Is it safe to participate in ICO's?
by
IceOleg
on 16/11/2017, 04:42:55 UTC
Right now there are many ICOs coming out, is it really safe to participate in any of it and spend that much? In participating ICOs I have high hopes that these coins could be the next Bitcoin or other currencies that are really going up in the market.

Yes and do - as with any investment! It's the same with traditional stock market. Is it safe - yes, is moderately safe if you investigated the business of the company accurately, understand it and you are sure that the team behind the project is a group of reliable professionals. If you do not do any reasearch and just buy tockens from different projects with a promising name and fancy design - than it's a gambling and it is not safe.

You can win in both scenarious, but I prefer to invest to the projects I really understand, that's why I rarely invest more than two ICO or 3-4 companies at the same time.

It goes up and down every month! It's not a surprise and there is no signs that it will continue to grow or BTH will become the #1. Whales pupm one coin today, another one tomorrow. Just follow the flow!

Re: Bitcoin Gold (BTG)

Could someone please share a link to the legid step-by-step guide on how to claim BTG if I have my private keys saved on time? Does someone actually managed to do that?

install coinimi wallet on your mobile, add BTG as currency, after installation click on BTG, click on 3 little squares on right top, choose empty wallet, insert your BTC private keys, follow instructions, wait until BTG appears in your wallet, took me 4h waiting,  transfer to exchange if you want to sell them for another crypto.

Thank you for the reply! Unfortunately all the mobile wallets are for android devices only and I have ios... Will have to wait for some more time probably!

Re: Suggest me the best ICO to invest.

Looking to invest 1 btc in some good running ICO which is legitimate and has good potential.
Do not suggest any ico just because you are a part of their signature campaign.Give a good reason please that why you think it is a good investment opportunity.

It's strange to see questions like this from an experience forum user. How much did you paid for your account?)))
I think this forum is the worst place to ask questions like this - people are just going to promote projects they participate at to get their referral bonus.

Investment mean research. Research mean reading white papers and other sources, but definetely not this forum.

Re: How to know a good project?

You can first look at ICO websites:
http://icorating.com/
https://tokenmarket.net/blockchain/all-assets
https://picoloresearch.com/upcoming

It will help you at first spets to understand what is going in ICO!

Thank you for this information. I found them very useful.

These websites write ICO rankings for money. The more you pay the better ranking you get. They even give a high rank to shitty scams like Paragon coin ICO.
Do your own research! If you are not ready to spend dozens of hours to investigate the project - you are going to gamble. If you want smart investment - be smart and research!

Re: Investing in Ripple

Why should one invest in Ripple?

You should invest to the projects you are sure about. Do your homework, investigate the project and invest if you understand the business model and sure about it. There is totally no sense to ask people here - most of them are not professionals and going to promote the projects they like.

Up to me - Ripple is a great long term investment since it's very close to become a real payment tool and become usefull.

panic buyers - panic sellers.
Stop panicking! BTH do not do anything, it's just a short term trend, BTC will dominate the market, ETC will be the #2 for some months or even years!

XRP
ETH
NEO

And I totally do not care that they do not grow a lot recently. I think long term and I belive that this coins will be used as the payment method in the nearest future = they'll become usefull assets, not just some virtual code...

I think one day bitcoin could cost as much as 0. One day or another it will be replaced by some other more advanced and more usefull crypto based source of payment. At that day there will be not much sense for people to hold it and they will try to sell it for at least something! Who's going to need it than? Probably some collectors will sell them at Sorthsbeys after several hundreds of years like an antique software Smiley

In my mind, nothing can replace bitcoin.
source link: http://bitkan.com/news/topic/43149

Of course it's not! The world is changing superfast today. Bitcoin is great, but now it's used just llike an asset. And it will be replaced  as the coin #1 by some altcoin that will actually be used like a payment tool.
