I love experiments in the cryptocurrency sphere and am ready to participate in them. But I'm not ready to pay for the experiment money, if you want to test something, give the community a beta version of your product and let a limited number of people do the testing.

Re: Augur - 51% up in 24h?
by

The impetus for such growth, presumably, was the launch of the new veil peer-to-peer forecasting platform built on Augur, 0x and Ethereum technologies.
The platform is operated by Veil International Ltd, a company in the Cayman Islands, and at this time it is not available to users from the United States, Cuba, Syria, North Korea or any other region with limited cryptocurrency legislation.

Milk, eggs, bread and bitcoins?

According to GeekWire, Coinme, a manufacturer of cryptocurrency ATMs from Seattle, has entered into a partnership agreement with the manufacturer of Coinstar machines, which will allow paying for purchases with bitcoins in grocery stores.
The new partner Coinme has introduced service in Safeway and Albertsons supermarkets in California, Washington and Texas. Kiosks will allow customers to purchase bitcoins for cash of up to $ 2,500. Upon completion of the transaction, the system provides a code that can be used on the Coinme website to get acquired bitcoins.

Despite the fact that many people call the current period "crypto-winter", Coinme CEO and co-founder Neil Bergquist believes that a startup with ATMs is flourishing: "Our customers use Bitcoin for remittances, diversifying their savings or simply as a gift for family members interested in Bitcoin."
Coinme's CEO and Co-Founder Neil Bergquist is convinced that cryptocurrency is now more useful than ever: "People stop gambling with the price of cryptocurrency and are beginning to use the technological advantages of the blockchain."

Do you think people who own Bitcoin will pay for their daily purchases? Everyone remembers that pizza was worth 10,000 bitcoins, now it would be a huge fortune.

Re: Should We Trust Blockchain ?

The comment above is absolutely correct. Centralized exchanges spend very little attention on security and a lot of attention on making big profits. I am sure that this is not the last major and successful hacker attack on the stock exchange (there are thoughts that Cryptopia itself arranged this attack in order to get the money of its clients).
Do not keep your money on the exchanges!

This is why "crypto is a money laundering machine!" narrative is not true. Binance has been freeze funds sent by Cryptopia hackers, it is very easy to tag suspicious transaction on the public blockchain network.

It is possible to get a good profit from participation in the bounty program only if you have a developed YouTube channel or you write large and competent articles, because only for this in these bounty companies there is no big competition. In other companies (All social networks, Telegrams, Signature) a huge number of people participate and at the end of the company your profit will be insignificant.

At the moment there is a huge number of centralized exchanges and the project Nauticus Exchange  needs a lot and serious work to become a competitor of the leading exchanges. I do not know that this exchange can offer better than Binance, Huobi or other exchanges from the top 10, so it will be very difficult to attract users / traders to their exchange.

Re: STO vs ICO
by
IgorShumilo
on 17/01/2019, 07:52:33 UTC
What is ICO?

ICO or the initial coin offer is a new way to raise funds, during which startups sell their tokens in exchange for popular cryptocurrencies, for example, BTC and ETH.

What are STO and DSO?
In simple terms, STO and DSO are regulated ICOs, although there is a long way to go before their full regulation. Thus, in the future something may change.

Currently, the defining aspects of STO and DSO are the fact that they are under the control of the SEC and represent a new innovative way of tokenization of traditional securities.

Advantages and disadvantages of STO and DSO
The fact that STO and DSO are regulated implies greater safety than ICO. STO and DSO are protected by SEC regulatory activities. Another advantage is that digital tokens can divide up to 18 decimal places, which makes the asset more “liquid”.
Another big advantage is the fact that STO and DSO offer greater flexibility for business owners. This should help attract more investment and lower the barriers to entry. Following a strict set of standards, rules and regulations, STO and DSO are much more transparent than many ICOs.
STO and DSO have their drawbacks, which is not surprising, because the STO and DSO market is relatively young. One of them is that DSO and STO limit investment opportunities, being available only to accredited investors.
The safety of both instruments is achieved by the fact that investors are required to undergo the KYC and AML procedures. Of course, the process becomes more complex and in this it loses the ICO, which provided any investor with the opportunity to participate, regardless of their origin, financial status or age. However, this made the ICO so risky.
Last but not least, because of their profile, STO and DSO require special platforms for sales management, which can make the process much slower and more expensive.

Can DSO and STO replace ICO?
The answer to this question is not as simple as it may seem. It is unlikely that ICO will completely disappear from the market, but STO and DSO may well be a serious competitor, since they contain solutions to many problems inherent in ICO.

Re: What to expect from crypto in 2019?
by
IgorShumilo

With the onset of the 2008 financial crisis, the world lost confidence, which was based on trust. Bitcoin was launched at the time of absolute necessity, Satoshi sowed seeds when it was needed. The world did not need a new VISA, people needed an alternative to banks. Initially, Bitcoin was created as a means of accumulation, and by no means a replacement for such payment giants as Visa.

This is very funny. Please see what the volume was at the peak of the price, it is only $ 25,000, this is a ridiculous volume. It was an ordinary shitty coin pump. I can find a lot of such coins and arrange them for thousands of dollars for several thousand dollars.
Be careful when looking at such coins, you can lose all your investments!

Do not believe any person who speaks about the future of any coin, nor who can say about the future. Look at the top 15 cryptocurrencies in 2014 and see now, you will see very few coins that survived. I am sure that in a few years the top 15 will change and no one will tell you who will be in it! Do not invest your money on the basis of someone else's opinion, only your own analysis!

At the moment, I do not know of any promising project that ISO is conducting. It seems to me that there are already enough projects (more than 2100 coins and tokens) and it is time to work 24/7 and show the results and implement your roadmap. 95 percent of all projects are complete shit and fraud and never will show the finished product. It remains quite a bit, only 5 percent, and they should build the blockchain infrastructure of our world.

Now there is a bear market and all the coins have lost much in price, time to buy coins that have the ability to staking. I have already bought a few and advise everyone to have a few such coins in my cryptocurrency portfolio, this is a very good opportunity to get a small constant profit and cover unsuccessful attempts to trade)

I believe that this is a complete list of what every cryptocurrency asset owner should know. Unfortunately, the majority does not think about it and believes that they will never steal his assets from him. It is strange that there are still no courses on the use of cryptocurrency, in which people were taught how to do it correctly, because many people repel cryptocurrency due to the fact that they consider it a difficult process!

The Tron project is very interesting, but I often read publications where they say that this is a marketing project and in fact their code is written very poorly and they will never be able to do what is written on their roadmap. Many say that they will not be able to integrate the torrent into their blockchain and this is a hoax in order to attract investment in their project.

This is very funny. The team wants to collect $ 100 million to create a blockchain project, but you have nothing but white paper, your twitter was created a few months ago, your roadmap has nothing but bonuses for buying tokens.
The team was late with their idea of collecting money, a year ago they could raise some money, but now people are smarter and will not carry their money in such a project, especially in a bear market.
Be careful, I think this is a scam.

Re: The Most Successful ICOs of 2018 and How to Learn from Them
by

95 percent of coins and tokens are frauds, created to raise investors' money and buy a Lamborghini or an island. 95 percent of the projects will remain only on white paper, and never will show the finished product. I am sure that soon regulators will begin to prosecute the teams of these projects. Soon we will hear a lot of court sessions related to fraud during the ICO!

Now a very large number of cryptocurrency exchanges and the team of the project nauticus will need to work very hard to attract a large number of traders to their exchange.
I participated a little in ICO and in the bounty of the company and I will be watching with interest the development of this project. Success will be if you work 24/7.
