Bitcoins will make you fertile.

And altcoins will make you sterile.  Permanently.

@OP: For a legitimate job that can pay you at least partially in BTC, try working for the Internet Archive.

The blog post that explains it: http://blog.archive.org/2013/02/21/employees-to-be-paid-in-bitcoin-please-donate/

Go away beggars.

You should really try btcjam.com - it's a much safer way to get loans.

However, there are some sites that make a significant payment after you've put some time into them.

For one thing, free.btc.pt can give 0.02 BTC after about a week of clicking on "Watch Video" and changing to another tab.

Re: Can we get a sob story sub board?
by

The only issue with a sub-board like that is the same issue that came up when a board for rants was proposed:

People want to have their sob stories/spam/rants/whatever read by people.  If there's a specific sub-board for that, then less people would read the stuff that is posted there.  The ranters wouldn't like that, so a sub-board would be a bad idea.

Re: Anyone still GPU mining?

It makes sense to switch to Litecoins when GPU mining and sell LTC for BTC

Or PowerCoin - it's still relatively new and mining should be easy; if the value goes up, you can exchange it for Bitcoins.

Begging is really annoying, especially when the post made to beg is just to be able to PM someone.

Please take your begging somewhere else, as well as your spam.

Re: The reason for the 5 posts/4 hrs rule
by
Illimensky

I dont think this 5 posts 4 hour rule is any good its a pain in the ass and spammers/scammers are still going to make accounts.

The 4 hours, especially, makes it even more of a pain in the a** for scammers.  Most scammers are going to be too lazy to go through the process of setting up an account, making 5 posts, and reading the forum for 4 hours.

You also overlook the point that the 5 posts / 4 hours rule also helps with the purpose of making new uses familiar with the forums.  This system cuts down on duplicate messages, since the new user has been able to read more posts on the forum.

As you said, scammers are still going to make accounts, but they won't be able to post on them.

At current prices, no - it's around 13 cents.  Still pocket change compared to what the OP gets every time someone joins the server from his referral link.

By the way, what "bitcoin banks" are there to stay away from?  (Aside from the Bank of Bitcoin)

Re: Is Ripple a Scam?
by

I was not sure, like many people on this thread, if Ripple was a scam.

Then, I realized:

  • Even though the creators of Ripple say that it is open source, it actually isn't.
  • You don't have any wealth in Ripple's system - you just have debt.
  • Ripple has already been 51% attacked by its creators.

I would stay away.  As far away as possible.

Once upon a time, there was a Jesus. She walked out unadorned. Then, as bagpipes blared and didgeridoos fell, the star exploded.

Enter the vassals, creating comically obscene gestures with cryptocurrencies. Jesus cried!

Andy B. Casagrande immortalized the scene with photography. Space robots had been shoving corn vicariously into other crevices, hoping that Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis... perhaps silicosis, or QueerOsis, or trees could accomplish impossible synchronizations.

Fifteen wishes weren't exceptionally productive. She touched herself vigorously with tremendous pillows; creaming out butter flavored LiteCoins. Ironically, Bitcoins never lowered the dust limit so that Luke-Jr would be anally probed by martians invading us to steal our fish for little did we know, Fish is the solution to all our global problems! Seamen relentlessly fapped out the next generation of ASICS which actually works without any electricity at all. Powered by shipwrecks, signals meant that mermaids knew cryptographic encryption algorithms' weaknesses in theory but, in reality, Rpietila gave all.

Thursday passed without BFL taking the biggest shit, which when combined with their largest fanboy, Atlas, every miner stabbed Satoshi irregardless. Meanwhile, trolls eating crow poop, crow testicles, and God's vagina laughed.

Artichokes roasted sweetly over flaming gays, joyfully prepared numerously spiced blockchains sacrificing virgins disregarding matter. Therefore Jesus announced peasantry raping holidays. Upon reflection, Jesus quixotically decided retroactively somewhere in Reptilia's bosom to fuck an ant hill and myrkul touched himself feverishly ravishing all pillows! Lophie touched electrically his "contacts", pondering why her earlobes looked so tasty dipped in mustard sauce from Meze's toilet. Meanwhile, under scrutiny from DHS, MTGox got DDOS'ed by CIA bots, Chinese pygmies licked thousands, drooling custard from cracks forgone.

Alas, we combusted gloriously into eternity with malevolent douchenozzles. Faunlets screamed condescendingly into their rapists' buttholes. Nymphet's carefully propositioned orgies began fondling Eminem's mobile phone until climax commenced. Jailbaits serendipitously surrounded Clinton's ASICS with their pussy cats. "STOP!" The sign clearly said across a dark alley. Cheese fell curiously from long faces, inedible, moldy, green, and cheesy testicles blossomed into uncanny tsundoku associations. Yanderes' throbbing cunts glistened against Ripple.

Meanwhile, in MtGox headquarters,
