Hi Memehunter,
just wanted to share some quick thoughts about the Ante.
In the last tournament, I think the Ante was set a bit too high.
It was about 80% of the Small Blind — that does happen sometimes, but it’s pretty rare.
If you look at typical structures on sites like PokerStars and SWC, the Ante usually ranges from 20% to 40% of the Small Blind.
An 80% Ante is more in line with specific tournaments like Ante-Up, which require a specific playing strategy.
I'm not necessarily against it — it can be fun and challenging,but I’d suggest using that format only occasionally.
For regular events, it would be better to use the Ante structure like they do on PokerStars.
I'm OK with this structure, no problem, just thoughts.
