I think we have a few years left of mining at least. Not sure id want to rely on it as my main income though. Im hoping the GPU market goes down a bit also, not buying at these prices in this market. Perhaps that is just wishful thinking?

Ive had two aftermarket rx480 fail after a month or so....Maybe bad luck, temps were ok. Unfortunately they wouldnt replace them because they were discontinued.

Hoping my vegas will last years, it seems reference pcb is pretty well made imo.

I sold some of my ether yesterday, do you think that was a bad idea...? I kept about 70% of my stack though, so even if eth moons now it will be ok, I hope. Im thinking bitcoin will probably go up again after this, hopefully.

I am actually trying basically everything I can to see what different settings do. Half of the fun is tinkering!

However, I am a bit reluctant to flash a liquid bios on an air card without some more information, it seems like it would perhaps not work because of difference in cooling, so thats why i asked you for more information.

Without having to type alot, are you saying using a 64 watercooled bios on a 56 card is ok? Im on a stock 56 cooler.

If anyone has a working vega 56 softpowerplay config for monero they would be willing   to share, that would make me happy! Currently chugging along at 5900h/s with three 56+1 r1700 cpu at 670w at wall (ryzen around 500h/s). Vddc hovers around  1.025v with  stock registry -30 frequency -8pl pstate 7 min/max.

Im thinking  I can probably get the same results with lower vddc core voltage, thus lower power consumtion and temps?

A reg tool would be extremely helpful imo!

Also, has  anyone tried setting 56 memory voltage to 1350mv, does it work  without  bios mod? Would be nice to be able to run mem at 1100mhz  as I can do with 64 bios, but without voiding the warranty  by swapping bios (though I think  in the eu you can basically change software in your electronics without voiding warranty by law, it seems)

Im talking about changing 0xE42  (1250mv) to 0x546 (1350mv)

Try to remote desktop to the computer. My 3xvega56 rig hangs instantly if i use my attached screen with the blockchain drivers, but if i remote desktop, it works.

5400 h/s +550 h/s for r1700 cpu at 650 watts total at the wall. I havent edited registry yet for proper undervolting, im sure i can get the powerdraw down a bit... (i hope)
