Guy sent me a PM under the name Shdvb. I'd messages him earlier in the day and was waiting for his response. I was getting ready to take my boy to the park when I got a response. The scumbag used the same name with an apostrophe that I didn't notice. As soon as I sent they payment I realized I was scammed, literally seconds. Noticed no feedback or posts. I was one of those guys that thought I was far too smart to get scammed. I'm a member of a few other sites where communities buy and sell on reputation and never had a problem. Took my eye off the ball and got punished.

Am I pissed off? Yes! But you know what, that scumbag has to look at himself in the mirror everyday and know what he is. Whatever this life holds, he may have to answer for his actions somewhere in this lifetime or the next one. I feel very stupid right now, but just gotta let it go. Luckily it was winnings from sports betting this week and not money I had spent. Anyway guys be careful out there, I'm done with the whole selling Bitcoin online via this forum. I'm sure there's lots of honest people, but dam there's a shit load of scammers and dirtbags too.

Sorry to hear that u lost 5 coins here by my impersonator, aka shdvb. ,you said here you are a member of few other sites to buy and sell, could you tell me what are they? I need to expand my business elsewhere so the more me out there ,less scammers outside. Roll Eyes

Bullionstacker is the place, but the Bitcoin market is very small there. It's mostly people buying and selling gold and silver.

Okay here's how I got scammed and feel like a dumb ass  Sad

I sent Shdvb a PM wanting to sell 5BTC. Didn't get a response so posted on the thread

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=583572.0

I get a PM from Shdvb with his price and where to send it. Was rushing out the door with my son to go to the park and sent the BTC over. Literally seconds after sending it I realized it was a scam account with an apostrophe at the end and zero posts. No one to blame but myself. $3000 down the drain to some scumbag.

This weeks lock is Haken. Last week was Brondby this week Haken. Drew the game 1-1 last week. With the game at 0-0 Haken had a player red carded and a penalty against them. Losing 1-0 with ten men they equalized in the 85th minute. I like this bet and odds.

Cork City vs BK Haken- BK Haken win 2.53

It's a pipe dream. These casinos wouldn't be open if you could make 10% a day.

Okay we are all here because we enjoy gambling. Some are addicted, some in denial and some just flirting with it. I've been gambling since the age of 16, over 20 years now. I've rode the highs and crashed thru the lows, in the end I still enjoy gambling.

My advice is to dam well make sure and take advantage of the highs. Over the years I've noticed the peaks and valleys. Some days no matter what, you can't win. Nothing can change that and it sucks. Now the peaks. Those days everything you touch turns to gold. They happen, just not that frequently. My experience stems from live gambling, casino and sports.

Let me tell you how the mind of most gamblers works. When a gambler is winning, he gets to a point where he switches to protect mode. He's turned that $50 in to $250 playing blackjack and now he's dropped to betting $5 a hand again. Now let's reverse this. He's now stuck $250 and guess what? The bets get larger as he chases. You will witness this pattern in most casinos all over the world.

Now what you should do when you are hot is press! And press hard! Don't be afraid to lose your winnings, when your hot you want to take full advantage of this. On more than a few occasions I've turned $500 into $15,000 just by pushing. Six the hard way three times before rolling a 6 or 7, each time bumping it $25 more. Roulette wheel catching double spins, it happens.

In closing I will say that over the long run we all lose. But when your running hot and it does happen, press like a MOFO. Don't go in to protect mode, set yourself apart. Good luck whatever your betting on.
Maybe you did "win" 15 000, but I'm almost sure you lost more for the whole time. Or you will.
Just don't believe it's possible to earnings by gambling, sorry

Read the last line, yes I'm a loser over all, and more than likely never be ahead. 99% of gamblers are losers, then the other 1% are professional who bet sports or count cards. My statement wasn't to make out I'm a winner, couldn't be further from the truth. Over my 20 odd years gambling I would say I'm down at least $250,000. My point is to make it count when you run hot.

For the sake of $40-$50 I'd rather just pay the premium and buy from JM Bullion. Accepts Bitcoin and in your hand in 1-2 days. Then your not guessing if it's fake or not.

Brondby are an absolute lock to beat Hibernian. Hibs are in the second division and not taking this game seriously. Right now they don't even have a recognized goalkeeper. Both goalkeepers from last year are gone and it's an untested kid in goals. This is the biggest lock of the week.

Easy money  Wink
Next time let me know when there is a sure game being played that you are foresure on.
I could use some easy money right now.  Embarrassed
Too many losses in the last month from my soccer picks.  Sad

This was the biggest sure thing I had seen for months. Hibs have barely started training and didn't have a goalkeeper. 15 seconds in and the young keeper screwed up. I expected Hibs to lose by 2-3, surprised it was just 1-0.

Re: I have a huge gambling problem, any advice on overcoming?

I was very bad for gambling every penny I made. My suggestion would be to invest X amount of your BTC salary in to silver and gold. You can buy direct from JMB and Provident using Bitcoin and it kinda gives you that fix that gambling does. Your gambling it goes up and you start setting yourself targets of X amount of gold and silver. Kinda addicting in a good way. Also the advantage of having it in metals is the fact it's not readily available to gamble. Takes a tiny bit effort to sell which gives you time to clear your head and think about what your doing.
Yeaaa exchanging your physical money to bitcoin have a bad side effect for gambler.
Bitcoin give a very easy access to any online casino, no need any ID verification,  no name and nothing.
Your whole story tell me that you have serious problem gambling addictively, go find psychiatrist and tell them your story.

I admittedly had a huge gambling problem. I'm not proud of that or the things I did. An event in my life started me investing in precious metals and it worked for me. It gave me the gamble I needed and helped me focus on other opportunities. Yes I still gamble and enjoy it. It give me a high like nothing else can. Do I need to seek help? No I don't think so. In the past yes I did. For the past five years I have gambled and controlled it. I've accumulated more savings in the past 5 years than the previous 20. Just my story and giving a perspective of what worked for me.
so you are gambling in stock market now? instead gamble in casino?
i think it might work help you out from gambling trap, in casino you will feel trapped to play over again and again.
investing in stock market will let all your money going up and down for long term and you will not withdraw it for long term and you can not gamble it in casino. but maybe a professional help still needed in case you are addicted to gamble again.

Not the stock market. I just buy physical gold and silver and store them in SD boxes. It's my way of saving money. I also study mintages of certain coins and have successfully flipped many coins for 2-3 times what I paid for them. Like I say I still gamble, but professional help is a waste of time. In order to stop gambling you have to want to stop. I don't, I can control it though and not go crazy off the rails. If any of you get the time, watch the movie Owning Mahoney. There's a scene at the end where he's asked a question. That line has always stuck with me.
