The more mature ones will ask for escrow, the new ones will say pay me first, more likely you will not see your money if you transfer the coins, he get the coins and the money. be careful especially the ones with hardly any positing and are new here.
Definitely don't invest any money into a new coin unless you think it has a good reason to exist. If its simply a copy of another coin with one or two settings changed, then its most likely a "scam" coin which will most likely never have any value in the long run.
If you wanna 'get rich from launching a coin', then implement a new feature and innovate, if you have enough knowledge to launch a coin, spend just a little more time to try and do something new/different. At this point all the copy cats have had their day if you ask me, I don't think we will see too many more 'junk coins' take off in the near future.
If I made another "Ripple" type coin, would that be able to make money? I would make it open source, etc. so it will not be a scam.
It has to be Open Source Coin and make the difficulty lower ...
