Re: [WTB] A Trezor

Hey everyone, I'm looking to purchase a Trezor. If you have an extra you're willing to sell let me know!

Thanks.

Why?

I don't understand your question.

Layman's Terms: Why are you looking to purchase a Trezor?
Just wondering if you found a reason for buying one that I couldn't see.  Tongue

Novelty, ease of use, security, project backing.

IMO you should just wait for SatoshiLabs to open their shop to the public. It might be cheaper then 2nd hand 1st edition and the profits go to developers.

After a long wait, it finally arrived! 1st edition classic Trezor!

I was surprised how easy it is to use, it is truly the right step towards mass adoption of bitcoin. In fact it is easier to use then my e-bank.

Cheers SatoshiLabs

P.S. Needs more compatible wallets

As stated I'm looking to buy a full cover block for radeon 7950. Preferably looking for copper/acetal one, somewhere from EU. If you have a backplate to go with it I'll take it too!

Re: avalon + BFL miners in hand? pro miners
by

I also out of curiosity mailed them about purchasing a bfl miner this is how the conversation went.

Quote
I'm interested in buy a asic miner but I have some questions 1st.
Is it possible to do a local pick up? Can I pay on delivery/pick up or do I need to wire/send founds 1st?

Quote
Hello!
Thank you for your interest in our company.
Yes, local pick up is possible - where do you live?
We are located in austria that's why direct pick up is too far for most people.
If you'd like to ship, shipping fees are on us.

It is also possible to direct some hasing power to a pool of your choice, so that you can be 100% sure we have the miners in hand.

Which miner are you interested in?

Quote
Hi again,

I would prefer local pick up as I can make sure everything is in order. I live in Slovenia close to Austrian border. I'm interested in BFL 25gh or 50gh miners.

Quote
Hello,
Well please understand that all our Miners together are woth thousands of Euros.
That's why we don't make our location public, it is much too dangerous!
So shipping would be easier and safer for both of us.

You can pay via bitcoin or paypal.
With paypal, you even have double guarantee: The buyer protection from paypal and the product guarantee from the developer (butterfly labs).
So you have 2x security + I can send you pictures + we can let the miner work for a pool of your choice for 20 minutes or so, you will get some BTC for free and will be sure that we actually have them in hand.
This way, you are 100% safe.

Quote
I would prefer to do a local pick up even if not at your exact location. I know you can provide pictures and a good 80G of hashing power to any pool/account but that still does not equal holding an actual miner in my hands even if its in a parking lot of a shopping mall. So even if you are really selling asic miners you have so far almost no credibility, meeting me in person and selling me an actual miner would boost your credibility and I could vouch for you on bitcointalk. Any way I will be paying with bitcoins so unless your willing to use an escrow agent like John K shipping is out of the question.

No conversation since and considering 1st few mails were less then half an hour apart I would say I'm not getting a reply.

stainless steel fountain, what is the difference between premium and normal?

Premium has a small square pattren chiselled on the cap and is polished to a fine shine. Price for premium one would be around 18€/0,7btc, for a normal 15€/0,6btc. The thing is this is probably the cheapest Parker fountain pen, shipping to most countries will cost more then the pen it self.

Yes I have seen this. Looks awesome actually, wouldn't mind owning one someday. Well adopted from the 3d printing. But I'm sure that's not the future of pens, more like an addition.

What's a pen?
Cheesy That's actually what I wanted to put as a poll answer. But no, a pen is a tool and it can be a work of art just like some expensive Rolex or a high class car. A pen can be a gift ... for a student, some hot shot lawyer or a doctor, it can be a family heirloom lasting generations. It can also be just a pen you keep on your desk to do your crossword puzzle.

I'd buy a Parker Vector if the price was right
What kind of vector? Premium or normal, a ballpoint or a fountain, pearl white or stainless steel?

Luxury pens (market research)

I have found out about bitcoin late last year and have since mined, traded and gambled with bitcoins. Lately I have been trying to think of a good long term business ideas. As it happens, I’m in a position where I can offer luxury pens to bitcoin market but I want to know more, before I  offer any products.

1st something about the pens. I would start off with 2 worlds leading brands Waterman and Parker, offering ballpoint and fountain pens of higher design quality. Just for example.

Waterman Exception fountain pen sudgested retail price: 400€ / 525$  estimated bitcoin community price would be: 13BTC at the current rates so thats around 330€ / 430$.

2nd example from Waterman

Waterman Expert fountain pen
sudgested retail price: 90€ / 118$  estimated bitcoin community price would be: 2.75 BTC at the current rates so thats around 70€ / 91$.

All the pens be it fountain pen or ballpoint come in a nice gift box, some of the pens like the Expert lines also come in nice set boxes including a fountain pen, ball point and ink for your fountain pen.

I have some of the pens in stock and could ship them out right away, others I would have to order which usually takes around a month or two.
Pens would ship from Slovenia to any country in European Union. I could also ship to other countries but shipping costs are higher and customs might tax the product.

Here are the manufacturers sites where you can see the rest of their product line.

Waterman

Parker

P.S. I know bitcoin trade requires trust and people are careful with who they do business with. So of course I would be willing to do trades with 3rd party ecsrow, either respected people here on the forum or other kind of escrow services. I would also have no problem listing items on sites like bitmit.

Please if you do have any questions feel free to ask.

I'm doing 500mh/s with core @950mhz. I can go higher clock but the increase in power is not worth the extra hash. If you are using cgminer try this flags -w 384 -g 8 -I 11. I went from  470mh/s using 4 threads to 500 using 8 threads. Let me know if you try this and see increase in speed.
