CAMPBX ACH

Our ACH and WIRE provider has made a business decision to not work with Bitcoins and Bitcoin companies due to regulatory uncertainty and recent spate of negative news for Bitcoins. We are working to find a replacement partner and resume these two services for our customers. In the meantime, please use alternate deposit or withdrawal methods available on CampBX.

All transfers that have not yet been processed by our ACH and WIRE provider will be refunded to your CampBX account before 5 PM EST on Saturday, February 1 2014. Our team will be working round the clock to ensure all refunds are processed correctly and on schedule.

All USD and BTC balances are accounted for. If you are in urgent need of funds, we recommend you to purchase Bitcoins and withdraw them to your personal wallet.
We will resume ACH and WIRE operations once we have a new partner on-board. We will update this page and our news feed as soon as we have additional information about a tangible implementation date.

Here is the thing though, like any of those 47 individuals or less, could just destroy some ppl's lives with barely any of their holdings...

This is exactly what makes bitcoin a Ponzi scheme. By buying into bitcoin and driving up the price you're just making the early adopters ricer.

That's how stupid people are.

A sucker is born every minute.

If you can't figure out that buying into a totally faith-based economy, with no regulation whatsoever, of a currency that doesn't even exist, through a broker that has no compelling reason to give you any of your money back other than possible negative word-of-mouth, is a bad idea, then maybe you should really consider spending less time speculating on BTC stock and more time getting remedial education.

The Pareto Principle (which is shared by all financial systems) makes bitcoin a Ponzi scheme?

What is worse? Bitcoin or US Dollar?

He actually argues for Bitcoin.

Here is the central fact of money. Money is the product of the market process. It arises out of an unplanned, decentralized process. This takes time. It takes a lot of time. It spreads slowly, as new people discover it as a tool of production, because it increases the size of the market for all goods and services. No one says, "I think I'll invent a new form of money."

This is what is happening now with Bitcoin. "Money arises out of an unplanned." Bitcoin is largely an unplanned decentralized medium. "Money arises out of the market process". The markets are being developed now for bitcoin. "Money takes time and spreads slowly." The same is happening with Bitcoin. It will take a long time for adoption. So his point about Bitcoin not being money is correct. But the next question is will it ever be considered money? It's possible, if a majority of people in a region use it to conduct business. If we look at it in that sense, I think one could argue that Bitcoin is money in the BTC end user mining market. All mining devices can be purchased with BTC. BTC is a tool of production in the end user mining market.

Very important is to get your account verified as fast as you can. I made my account on Bitstamp when the price was 220 and got verified around 780. I lost quite amount of money with this. Do not make that mistake.

No account, man.

Just a cold paper wallet.

Just wait to buy. There will be a correction in the near term. Wait until the hysteria wears off.

A quick note:

After being very sceptical in the beginning (the name "bitcoincrystalball" still makes me roll my eyes), I signed up after some additional communication with them.

I can't say much yet for the TA itself, but after 2 days of being in contact I can say that they are one of the most helpful, fast reacting and friendly services I've ever had the pleasure communicating with.

That's all for now.

Does it trade edison dollars?

Prices have broken the triangle to the upside, but check for confirmation. The image I sent everyone, mirror image it to the upside. So look for the confirmations to re-establish the uptrend. Fake breaks are not unusual. The are common in other markets, but it's mostly people manipulating the market (not sure if that's possible at MtGox). But either way, watch for confirmations.

Where can I buy Edison Dollars?

Just hit the alt coin market today: Edcoin it's gonna be the new bitcoin!

EDIT: sorry, I'm just really bored - when does the fun start?

And what happened to Adam - he hasn't been on for ages...  Anyone know if he's ok?

Edcoin could become the first Meme Coin - Mascot could be the LOL cat.

I just bought in for about 1080, i only bought 1 btc. It is expensive and depresses me a little bit as just two weeks ago when it was only about 400 i wanted to try and start buying them but with all the time its taken to get verified and have my wire transfers get in its soared to over 1k. But in the end from everything ive read it seems unlikely that there won't be some moment to come when i can sell it with profit over the coming months/years even at this price, though with that said i still think ill wait for the prophecised drop before investing the majority of my cash.

It's better to not take into account too much what you "read about bitcoin". Nobody knows. It could fall a lot, but it also has an incredible dynamic. It's really the best to buy in smaller chunks.

I will probably divide my amount through six or so and invest every two weeks, if it goes up a bit less maybe and if it goes down a bit more.

Edison Dollars are a better investment.

Additional note. EMA's on the hourly are rolling over, we know lots of traders watch those. So extra note of caution.

This looks interesting. Can I use this with Edison Money?

Hi all - I'm hearing about some troubles people are having with overloaded power connectors.  Since the latest cards shipped were running a higher voltage, the rigs take quite a lot of wattage - extra caution should be taken if you are running a full 16 card rig.  I recommend upgrading to a 1200w power supply as soon as possible.  Do not locate your rig on the floor, or near anything flammable.  As always with mining rigs, check your power cables, connectors and supplies often for signs of overheating and failure.

Please be safe!

We are making changes for future boards that will either run them at lower voltage or provide additional power connections.

Cheers
Dave

[EDIT]  I'm told these users may have powered their rigs using the 1 to 2 plug on a single PCIe cable.  This is a common mistake I've been warning about.  Please note - you *must* use two separate power cables from the PSU to each of the 6-pin power plugs on the M-board.

Dave,

What is the status of refunds?

If anyone is also waiting on a refund from Dave please pm me.

Thanks,

Received my RMA replacement board today, its working perfectly. Thanks MegaBigPower!
How long did RMA take?

Expecting delivery tomorrow. About a week. Good stuff. Looking forward to throwing more money at Dave when (if?) the next batch of stuff is ready.

I wonder why a refund takes 6+ weeks and an RMA takes less than a week.

Could we please get a status update on our October orders ?

In addition, What is the status of October order refunds?
