I doubt interpol would get involved in a relatively small theft.Well it's entirely possible he just trades huge volumes on cryptsy and thus earns himself thousands of entries into the contest. If it was rigged I'm sure they would at least bother to create a different account.

Nope won't happen cause if the miners accept the abolition of the cap then it's a free for all with unlimited coins and they become inflationary exactly like the fiat system which is the polar opposite of the ideals behind bitcoin.
