Re: [ANN] Zcoin (XZC) - Implementing Zerocoin technology for financial privacy

If anyone wants to see how Zerocoin transactions look like on the blockchain:

Check out a sample mint transaction where 50 coins go into a blackhole.
http://explorer.zcoin.io/tx/b827e91bee75e4abae8590206b088f05f6b9c563dc56e5e71c42da9523ebcccd
https://chainz.cryptoid.info/xzc/tx.dws?b827e91bee75e4abae8590206b088f05f6b9c563dc56e5e71c42da9523ebcccd.htm

This is a sample spend transaction where 50 coins come out from the blackhole and have no linkage with its mint transaction or any history at all.
http://explorer.zcoin.io/tx/d75cd4bfae85bc278900eb4728f71eedea1dec2a16d3f18551dfcd43b413ac07
https://chainz.cryptoid.info/xzc/tx.dws?d75cd4bfae85bc278900eb4728f71eedea1dec2a16d3f18551dfcd43b413ac07.htm

The point is that the 50 coin from the Zerocoin spend transaction could have come from any of the people who minted 50 coins giving it very high anonymity.

So does this mean that the five 100 XZC transactions that I minted will enable others to also use that quantity of coins to mint/spend? And if so, will my coins that went through the mint and spend function get any confirmations then? Its been over 2 months now at zero confirmations, and I would like to know if there is any chance of them coming back/getting confirmations?

Thanks for your time.

Re: [ANN][PSB] Pesobit, the currency for remittances and international cooperation
by

I watched this coin for awhile as I have friends in the Philippines. And I had acquired a large number of PSB to send there. I had a friend sign up for the ewallet site so I could send her money to pay bills and get a visa card. She submitted several forms of ID to satisfy the requirements unfortunately she never received any email or phone acknowledgement of this and she never got verified. She just put in time and effort doing this for nothing. Worse was that I told her how great it would be and it was also disappointing, for both of us, when we found out the platform was non functional, either as it was not able to work, or due to neglect.

So I emailed pesobit@gmail dot com about this, and like her, I receive no reply. I had to apologize for wasting my friends time (getting scanned documents when you are poor is not that easy). I dumped my holdings several weeks ago. I gave up on PSB as it wasn't doing what it was stated to be doing, i.e, a working product.

I do hope that the devs are able to pull this together, not just to fulfill the remittance purpose of PSB, but for the investors who have purchased the coin. I wasn't going to post this but I feel the holders might not have tried the ewallet platform so are unaware of what is going on. Good luck to holders, and to the devs on this project.

When I read that on slack I dumped mine. Good luck to those still holding.

Hi Jack,

when you moved the wallet does it still appear in your Mint transactions? If it appears, it isn't lost but may not have had additional people using the accumulators during that time.
Both transaction IDs don't seem to appear on the blockchain? What version were you using? 0.8.7.8?

Yes, and I have replied to your PM ty.

I've also lost coins with the Mint & Spend function. I tried one coin and 100 coin tried to redeem (spend) over a month ago

After that I moved wallet.dat file to another pc. I didn't realize it had no confirmations so lost some more coins on that one. They also show as zero confirmations, but on the first pc there is no trace of them even being redeemed.

Couldn't you just create a 2nd ICO that only accepts zero coins. It would add value to zero coin and could be called subzero coin.

Is there any ETA for when marketing towards attracting overseas users (senders) will start? Are there any other things that need be done first? For overseas ppl wanting to send PSB to Philippines is there going to be an easy path for them to acquire PSB - i.e. will they be able to purchase PSB with local fiat or credit/debit card or will they have to acquire BTC first? I guess I am looking at the learning curve that new users (senders) will face.

PSB seems so undervalued when looking at future real world usage, but am curious as to implementation and if there is anything like a roadmap with estimated dates.

Thanks in advance for your time!  Smiley

Is there any sort of fees when  i move any crypto from an exchange to a wallet?
My question is in general so that i can decide if i should move my cryptos to a wallet or not.

The network fee to move FCT from the Enterprise wallet to another address is very small. Exchanges are free to set their own withdrawal fees though. I'm not sure what they are off the top of my head but polo is a bit steep. Papermill wallet from Factom is the safest storage solution. Keeping coins on exchanges you don't control the private keys, ....so def some risk there.

Also when FCT news is released FCT price will go high, and you may be over the withdrawal limit on exchanges, meaning every day you go in and withdraw what you can, paying withdrawal fees each time. Do a small test withdrawal first to ensure everything goes smoothly and you have no issues.

As for your other cryptos, my recomendation is not to store on an exchange, you don't control the private keys, too risky IMO, I want them in my possession, trustless and all that...  Good luck.

I just want to give a bit of feedback on the ewalletph site. I'm trying to get a friend in the Philippines to sign up so I can send some funds. But she isn't fluent enough in English to understand what the google captcha is asking her. I'm sending her around to her friends with teenagers as she can't get past it to the sign in part. It's not off to a good start if she has to get some one else to sign in for her each time. Is there a Tagalog version of the site? How are you going to get the people not fluent in english to use these services?
https://developers.google.com/recaptcha/docs/language
Just in case devs needs to change the captcha language.

Regarding the content, this is one can help.
Using google chrome right click anywhere on the login page. Click "Translate to english". The image below will show. Just click options to set it into another language. Page language = english, translation language = filipino.
https://i.imgur.com/dkSAX07.png

If she's in netcafe, she can always ask the attendant to change the google chrome language into filipino. So everytime she visits the page, any english webpage will automatically be translated.

This is just a workaround. Devs can have the option of changing the webpage/ewallet dashboard into tagalog.

Thanks, we'll see what we can do about this. So far this is the first concern that we got for the language situation.

I have got her past the google captcha. There is an icon on the bottom of the captcha of a set of headphones. It allows the user to hear numbers and type them in a box. So she has got into the site and getting verified is the next step. I keep you guys updated how it goes as I really want to try the system out from sending PSB to the recipient receiving funds, paying bills, getting visa card, etc.

this coin is so long undervalued, will accumulate bit by bit while its cheap coz who knows sooner or later this will surprise traders seeing market on up trends.

Definitely this is way undervalued, it's going to need a lot more than a $278,000 market cap to provide these services. Early days indeed. And congrats to the dev team for accomplishing this on a low budget.

can someone help me understand the fee for a transaction? i tried withdrawing 1fct from poloniex to enterprise wallet just to test, and i only received .9fct.

i can't find any details in poloniex specifiying the network fee of .1fct and am only given this tx id in my withdrawal history:

fb47905fca59bab4461cd064beca8f1793e07146c2284bc3b77188471a7ee499

.1fct is equal to about $3 on a $30 withdrawal, so i'm a bit troubled by it.

That is not the factom network fee, that is the fee that poloniex charges for a withdrawal. Exchanges can set any fee they want unfortunately.

BTW congrats on acquiring some factom!  Smiley

The price has taken a nice jump, at 0.00000390 now. Maybe ppl are realizing this has real world uses already built in. Such low market cap, it won't take much to rise higher.  https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/pesobit/

How long does the verification process take at ewalletph.vmoney.com?

I have signed up and looked around inside ewalletph.vmoney.com . Its a very good site, enabling PSB to bank account transactions, paying bills, getting visa card and more. I have a friend in Philippines - I want to try this out and send this person PSB.

I know this is early stages but PSB seems so very cheap recognizing that the money transfer and services are already functioning. Is this going to be promoted in a tangible way? I guess my concern is that this person spends the pesobits while they are still cheap, and misses out on potential gains once it becomes (I hope) more widely recognized.

Re: ★★DigiByte|极特币★★[DGB]✔ DigiSync v6.14.2 - DigiSpeed - Segwit -DiguSign
by

IF YOU HAVE DGB STUCK IN DGIBYTE GAMING WALLET

1) Download a DGB 6.14.2 Core Wallet and make sure you back it up if you have not already downloaded one: https://github.com/digibyte/digibyte/releases/tag/v6.14.2

2) Generate a new core DigiByte wallet address to send your funds to from your Gaming Wallet.

3) Download or clone this repository to your desktop: https://github.com/digibyte/digibyte-gaming-recovery

4) Open the Index.html file in your web browser

5) Enter your seed phrase and send funds to your core wallet

Note* This is a recovery solution, the issue still remains to be fixed with gaming wallet. So do not send funds to it for the time being.

PM us with any questions or issues. Several people have recovered all their DGB this way.

Please keep using the core v6.14.2 wallet!

I unfortunately used the chrome gaming wallet and had funds 'stuck' there. But I got them out so maybe this will help others in same boat.

I was able to transfer most coins out of the gaming wallet out but kept getting a large chunk of coins locked up when trying to do a transaction. Rebroadcasting didn't work and canceling the tx and trying again did the same thing. I found that by leaving that chunk of coins locked up in a tx, you can then send the remaining balance out.

Then unlock the funds that are stuck. By going to 'Advanced' and 'Export Wallet' you can download a .json file. However when importing this into the index.html created by https://github.com/digibyte/digibyte/releases/tag/v6.14.2 I got errors. There are two fields for password. The first is for the password you set when you export your json file. The second is for your wallet password. I couldn't get it to work.

Finally I removed password from my wallet, and set my json export password to one letter (to save typing). Go to index.html, browse to the json file, put your one letter in the first password box, and leave the second box empty. Page scans wallet and then allows you to send funds out.

Re: ★[ANN] [NAV] NAV COIN - NAVTECH NOW DECENTRALIZED!

Does anybody know where I can find my recovery seed and my private keys in the NAV Core wallet? I use the latest version (4.0.2. on a Mac).

The QT wallet doesn't have a ''seed''. You can get the private keys in the ''debug window'' just go to the help section and you'll get the commands.

The wallet.dat file (where your coins live) is located in: Library/Application Support/NavCoin4.

You always should keep a backup of both.

Cheers!

Any ideas on how to redeem coins stuck in an Electrum address ? Restoring wallet didn't help .

Thanks!

In your Electrum wallet go to top menu. Wallet > Private Keys > Export.

Get the latest NAV Core wallet, go to top menu. File > Import Private Key.

Hope that works for you. Of course you'll need sync Nav Core wallet to see your coins.

So much slow ...
Should I hold or sell FCT now??

Code:
Factom you got to let me know
Should I hold or should I go?
If you say that you are mine
I'll be here 'til the end of time
So you got to let me know
Should I hold or should I go

Is c-cex.com on the new chain? I send some PSB from desktop wallet and they don't show up and I get an unusual TX ID of 0965168035ee9e04bc3ab82b2181553aabdbdad0564b3ece3c9e92ff5e75a33e5fa9bf9772b1ad0 3a9d99376d9483529e43dd7a3a0a04b12c8aaad7ce53c0b65

This has happened to me before the fork, and I had thought that I had entered the wrong receiving address then. Now I am wondering if there is an issue with the desktop wallet.

Yes they're already on the new chain. That TXID is not in the blockchain on either chains as well. Can you try to issue a repairwallet command in your Desktop wallet. It is over at Help -> Debug -> Console then type in checkwallet then repairwallet commands.

You can PM me the screenshot as well.

THanks

Sorry my bad, I'm using the online web wallet, not the desktop wallet. I must have had a brainfart when posting....

EDIT: today I check the online web wallet and my TX ID changed to match other TX IDs format and the TX went through. Not sure what happened but happy it went through :-)

The Factom Slack is where the community is. There are several channels for different topics. It's civil, professional, and well moderated. If you want to know the state of things that's where you will find the information. I don't have the link but it will be a page or few back.
