Re: Will banks ever offer bitcoin deposits?
by

The bank's operating objectives are profitability. The price of bitcoin up and down is very unstable. The bank will not provide services for money without profit, and it can even bring risks and losses. I think the bank will not accept nitcoin deposits until the price of the bitcoin is stable at some level (this is very unlikely and if so, the time is very long).

Re: Bitcoin is it the Future of Banking ?

I do not think so. The main business of banks is lending, savings deposits, transactions. These operations should be done with the stability of the currency and interest rates, the new bank is profitable. Bitcoin is not stable, its price goes up erratically so the bank will not use such a currency in the transaction.

There are many use cases for blockchain-based communications. For instance, an irrigation system can leverage the blockchain to control the flow of water based on direct input it receives from sensors reporting the conditions of the crops. In the future, Blockchain will be applied more to meet human's demands.

You can say that again. It's we who pull the strings of Bitcoin. Bitcon itself is innovative and advantageous, but criminals make use of it, whales manipulate it, hoaxers scam money from it. All that damage Bitcoin's reputibility.

Bitcoin fans are frenzied investors who put absolute trust in Bitcoin no matter what happens to it. As for Bitcoin haters, they are strongly opposed to Bitcoin empire and call it a scam and a Ponzi scheme.

Re: Is Bitcoin a Ponzi scheme?
by

A Ponzi scheme is a carefully orchestrated financial scam that's completely illegal. The scammers generate big money by deceiving investors. In contrast, there is no one pulling the strings behind Bitcoin but investors who buy and sell it for gain. I think your friend doesn't understand the situation but just follows the rumors. Actually, Bitcoin itself isn't bad, but con artists use it to hoodwink others, causing bad reputation for Bitcoin.

Re: What is ICO?
by
Jacob Amarall
on 04/06/2018, 17:44:17 UTC
ICO (Initial Coin Offering) is similar in concept to an initial public offering (IPO), both a process in which companies raise capital, while an ICO is an investment that gives the investor a cryptocoin, more commonly known as a coin or a token in return for investment, which is quite different to the issuance of securities as is the case in an IPO investment.
While ICOs are to mainly raise capital for a start up, they are also used to kick-start the sale of a service to be taken to market or the use of a new cryptocurrency.
