Forget everything you've read before and just put everything in BTC. Unless you're actively trading margins, there's very little point in trying out other altcoins. Considering that you've taken to the internet for crypto investment advice, I don't see you as a savvy investor, so just stick with BTC and maybe ETH and HODL!

Stop thinking in terms of actual bitcoin, and start thinking in terms of percentages. Let me give you an example of what a cryptoportfolio looks like:

Bitcoin - 60%
Ether - 20%
Other Alt coins (Monero, Litecoin) - 10%
Tokens (NUCLEUS VISION, Jibrel) - 10%

This is how you should ideally distribute your portfolio, but of course the actual percentages and coins will vary depending on your research and acumen.

There will always be scams with any new value exchange system, especially one which guarantees the anonymity of the internet. But thankfully, BTC and ETH are still going strong, along with a handful of other altcoins. Since you've mentioned the decentralization of money, I think this can only happen in a completely transparent system, that's also geared toward mass market usage. Two projects on the Ethereum blockchain that could work out this way are AppCOins and Nucleus Vision. Their not based in the states, I suggest you check them out, although I'm not sure if it will be possible for you to participate in their token sales from Iran. BTC has the big head start that every crypto wished it had, but with new technologies coming out, it is easy to see how BTC could be replaced. Especially if you consider how ICOs like AppCoins and Nucleus Vision are going to affect the ETH market once they tie up with the big league retail players. I foresee ETH rising big time on the basis of their smart contracts, especially when powered by intelligently created DApps.

Well, as far as capital investment is concerned, they do have enormous diamond and platinum deposits that could conceivably revive the economy, but I think food security and basic infrastructure will come before any focus on cryptocurrency. And that will take at least a decade. So no, I don't think Zimbabwe will become the cryptomining hub of Africa, at least not in the foreseeable future.
