Re: Why buy COSS
by

You're almost right but what you need to keep in mind is the following:
Reducing your value
- There are actually more circulating COSS, c.98m, not sure why CMC is stating that figure but we have the number of circulating COSS each week in our dashboard, reducing a bit this number
- Trading fees are degressive according to the amount you're trading, you can find the exact breakdown in their whitepaper

Increasing your value
- Trading fees are paid twice (for the buyer and the seller), so you need to multiply by 2
- Fees will not just depend on the volume: you receive dividends for fees for ICOs, for withdrawals, for fiat deposit in the future...

All sounds reasonable, thanks!

It makes sense that the trading fees are dynamic, 0.2% is worse than other exchanges such as Binance with their 0.05%.

I will keep an eye on the price and buy some when the time is right.

When I first heard about Coss, I tried the exchange and thought 'this is awful, I'm not buying any Coss tokens'. I regret that decision now!

However this thread is making me think there is still a lot of potential in this exchange and coin. It sounds like they are taking the necessary steps to improve the site and make it a genuine option to trade on. The big thing I noticed after not visiting it for months was that they now use trading view charts which is a massive improvement.

Bear with me as I try to make sense of the token...

The trading fee is 0.2%

Total trading volume is $4,500,000 giving a daily fee income of $9000

50% goes back to COSS holders, so $4500 a day.

Current COSS circulating supply is 63,556,571

So if I buy 1000 COSS then I will recieve (1000/63556571)*4500 = $0.07 daily depending on the volume.

Have a understood this correctly???

Do you maybe know for some other cheap exchanges that have low listing fee? I know that yobit is like 0.1btc...

Binance do a community vote every month so if the community is big enough then there is good chance to be listed. As far as I'm aware it is free if you win the vote...

https://www.binance.com/vote.html

The link still shows the October results, I thought they would have opened voting for November by now... We will have to wait and see.

No one knows about it.

Got a small bag as well earlier this week!

+1 BlockCat has a lot of potential but I don't see it mentioned much. I hope it can gain traction, my bags are 60% down  Shocked

I was expecting at least an initial pump but I have faith that it will grow over time. I don't think it is unrealistic for the marketcap to at least match that of Iconomi... $150m vs $25m is 6x gain

I believe that this is the start of the second leg down before bottoming out somewhere between $2000-$3000

The markets always seem to go in cycles, you can look back through bitcoins history and see this.

Look at this bitcoin daily candle chart:
https://imgur.com/A2nVmEi

and this is where I think we are in the market cycle:

This is why I've put some of my BTC into USDT. The is a crazy game though and you can never be sure, I will be watching the charts closely.

I'm not sure what the masternode payouts are like, I remember reading that they weren't much more than staking. I have enough for a masternode but the lack of a clear tutorial put me off and I figured that it wouldn't be worth it vs. staking if I'm paying $5 a month for a VPS server. I'm currently getting 3-4 payouts of 0.5 BRO per day

Sorta. If the token passes the Howey test, then the US based exchanges can list it. If it doesn't pass the Howey test, then the EXCHANGE will face the regulatory consequences. However, it would be in Blackmoon's best interest to abide by the US regulations because it's a very large market. Blackmoon Crypto divides their project into two separate tokens, BMC which isn't a security according to Howey, and Fund token which is considered a security under Howey. US citizens are not allowed to participate in the Fund token platform, as "Continuous Contributors," at this time but they are allowed to purchase BMC.

Thanks that's cleared it up for me.

It would be nice to see BMC on Bittrex but they haven't added a new coin since Bitcoin Cash. The only other exchange I can see adding it in the near future is Binance... Anyway we'll wait and see.

Yes, there hasn't been enough time for the larger volume exchanges to vet the project well enough to include it on their platforms. Right now the larger exchanges are leery as to how to define the differences between an "asset?" and a "security?" so they are being more diligent. Blackmoon Crypto believes that they have the legal standing to pass the Howey test with BMC. And, I think BMC does and will pass that test. There are some bargains on the smaller exchanges for BMC at the moment, but once the higher volume exchanges list the token, I don't believe those bargains will be available. Blackmoon Crypto is in a good position to do very well, providing they don't get caught "cooking the books" or something, and I am confident that they ARE going to do well.

Interesting, I haven't been around crypto/investments long enough to come across the Howey test before. After reading up on it I understand that it's a test to determine whether the token is classed as a security and therefore protected by SEC regulations, is that correct? If so I'm guessing that if it passes then the big exchanges are more likely to accept it as Blackmoon Crypto can be held accountable if they don't follow through with their promises?

It's currently trading below ICO price ($1) at roughly $0.85. With their promise to buy back tokens at $0.80 there's not a lot risk involved in buying now so I've jumped in. I can't see it staying this low for long with the quality of the project.

Now forgive me if I'm wrong but isn't this like the Chrome extension Hola, where you route your connection through peers on the network? If so what is to stop some using Myst to download CP and that being routed through my IP and therefore linking it to me?

I can see why decentralised VPN seems attractive as you don't have to worry about your centralised VPN provider keeping logs and handing them over to authorities but for me I don't want other peoples traffic routed through my IP. Instead of the authorities going to the VPN provider and demanding logs they are going to come to my door and blame me.

MCO made a floor around 0.002 BTC then dipped below that before a couple of small pumps. With this upcoming news it looks like a good short term hold as you would expect it to pump before the announcement. Now looks like a good time to get in as we are at the level of the previous pump.

$0.01 per coin with a 21,000,000,000 supply

The ICO price puts its marketcap at $210,000,000 and if we look at coinmarketcap.com then you can see that would put Electroneum in position 31 between Golem and BAT...

5x gains would put it at p11 above OmiseGO

10x gains would put it at p7 above NEM

100x gains would put it at p3 above BCH and not far behind ETH

1000x gains would put it p1 with a marketcap 3.3x larger than Bitcoin

Come on guys you might make some gains but lets be realistic, in the current bear market I can see this dropping below ICO price. There are a lot of promising projects below p31 marketcap and I don't see what make Electroneum so much more valuable.

About 12 hours. Today I've got my last 48 BRO in ~8 hours.

Ah ok, it seems like the exchange is just very slow. My 2 BRO just confirmed so I've withdrawn my remaining amount, I will just have to be patient.

I forgot about the fees though so I'm a few coins worse off than I thought I would be. Gonna have to do a lot of radio listening over the next week to get those final few coins for my masternode  Cool

I manage to withdraw in time ~1500 BRO from them, but last transactions were taken a lot of time to process. I don't trust them at all and I have no intention to deposit any BTC there from now on. Waiting for BRO to be listed on another exchange... At the moment, 4 hours since I made the last withdraw, unconfirmed.

How long did it take for your original 1500 BRO to withdraw?

I've been accumulating BRO coins on CryptoDao so I could run a masternode. I've attempted to withdraw just 2 BRO as a test and 24 hours later they still haven't been sent. The status on CryptoDao shows that they are unconfirmed and support are not responding to my questions. At this point I'm pretty gutted that I trusted this shady exchange and I can't see me getting any of my coins out.

I'm not sure what further steps I could take to actually get my coins in to my personal wallet. I've been think about doing some more withdrawals to see if they go through, maybe if they do I will get at least a few of my coins. I'm scared to try and withdraw all of my coins in one go as I'm guessing they'll end up stuck in limbo with my original 2 BRO.

Devs, if you're reading this please can you work on getting the coin on another exchange and get them off CryptoDao, it is only hurting your coin. It is a shame because I really like the idea behind the coin and believe in the project.

I don't know whether CryptoDao are stealing peoples coins or if they are severely incompetent, either way I cannot recommend anyone deposit anything there unless you're happy to never see it again.

Edit: It looks like the exchange is just very slow to withdraw. I finally received my coins after 28 hours.
